RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE (2010) #hohohorror2018
🎶On the fifth night of Christmas,
my true love sent to me…
FIVE SANTAS IN A BOX,
four floors of death,
three deadly weapons,
two hooved feet,
and a psycho crouched behind my tree.🎶

🎁Why I chose it:
I very much enjoy watching this film each year! While I do believe there could have been a bit more on screen carnage, I think it’s well done, creepy, and makes for a fantastic addition to holiday horror. I’d say this with any film…but especially with horror…don’t ever let a foreign film keep you from watching it. I’ve found some of the very best horror films to be in another language. With that said…I hope you enjoy this little Finnish flick full of fantasy and bloody horror!
💁♂️What it’s about:
The closest guarded secret of Christmas lies deep inside a mountain and a drilling crew has just reached it. The film’s tagline says: “This Christmas everyone will believe in Santa Claus.”
🎄Just how “holiday” is this movie?
Christmas lights, naughty children, snow covered landscapes, a boy who still believes, dead reindeer, and a Christmas legend that’s not as jolly as we’ve been told.
😈Who belongs on the naughty list?
Pietari’s Dad for doing the best he can, but totally dropping the ball on paying attention to his kid.
Piiparinen for having the coolest name in the film and only being a side character.
The Sheriff for having no clue whatsoever.
And Jusso for not believing.
🔪Most inventive murder weapon in this film: The beauty of this film is that most of the deaths are left to the imagination.

🥛Eggnog shots for every you see snow. (Likely you won’t make it halfway through the film!)
