What do you do stay fit while traveling?
Going to a gym or running/walking around the block is not always necessary to stay fit. In fact, research shows that an outdoor activity like hiking(at the right tempo) increases your heart rate, burns more calories, pumps up those oft-neglected muscles and uses 28% more energy compared to walking or running on flat ground.
After eating my way through Vermont, a hike through Smugglers’ Notch State Park was exactly what I needed to expend some energy. Try and incorporate some unorthodox workouts that hold merit, are efficient and great for your body. You won’t regret it!
