Back to catfish...they DO eat in the dark. Their arrogance is still questionable though. Catfishes whiskery projections are technically called barbels (not barbells like you flex hard at the gym with). They are sensory organs that can both smell and taste. This allows catfish to hunt in dark and murky waters. Do you know where catfish sleep? In a water bed. GOODNIGHT!

Today’s thoughts/intentions for this winter-y Monday:
1. Take time for yourself - even if that means sitting on the couch all afternoon with your dogs, drinking coffee, and evading studying. Self care, amirite 🤷♀️
2. Take time for others - if you’ve been too busy to give your mom/loved one a call, take 5 minutes tonight and give them a shout to let them know that you miss them. I spent an hour today having coffee with my mom, and it was one of the highlights of my week thus far.
3. Be present and try to avoid always focusing on the future. Even if today was low-key, appreciate it for what it’s worth.
4. As my incredibly wise boyfriend said to me last night, “stop looking at what everyone else is doing and comparing yourself to them. You have a pretty cool life too, and sometimes you need to take a step back and realize how great it really is.” (Or something like that. Clearly this is a part of my life I need to work on). Aka everyone is at a different place in their life, so take time to appreciate where you’re at currently and realize that there’s nothing greater than you, being you.
Anyways, enough of my thoughts, happy Monday, and enjoy these pictures of Fleury being her usual needy self. 🌞
