Don't deny your love.
If you love coffee, love it.
If you love someone love them.
If you love food, love it.
If you love nature, love it.
It's okay to love.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO @foodwinenatrueboy
!! Thank you for all of the amazing adventures, laughs, support, and love!! Have a wonderful day today, and we’ll celebrate the best way we know how tomorrow and Monday. So much love and gratitude to you ✨💕 #aventurineforest
It’s a nice, dewy morning, the ground is cold and wet. You’re hiking around, enjoying the scenery, puttin’ the stock on that nice 4x4 buck you saw at first light. And you hear it, your stomach. You’re hungry. But, where do you sit? The ground is wet. Well, we have the solution. A lightweight chair that packs down smaller than your rangefinder, that uses your trekking poles as a back, and has a sleeve for a pad or your folded up jacket for a cushion. Ahh, that’s comfort. You can sit back, enjoy that nice warm #mountainhousemeal
you’ve been packing around. I love the smell of biscuits and gravy in the morning, especially on top of a mountain 😏

When you are a really amateur photographer and accidentally take a cool picture of a mushroom! Lesson learned, sometimes you have to put your face in the dirt to find something beautiful.
I know this picture isn’t directly related to hiking, I did have to hike through my family’s 10 acres to find it though so that counts, right? It’s called a fly agaric fungus for those who are wondering. It was about the size of a salad plate!
I’m making it a thing! I’ve just really enjoyed the fungus season this year! A busy weekend coming up, and I can’t waaaaiiiit. What all do you have planned? ✨💕 #aventurineforest
My second hike from last weekend had amazing views and a breathtaking sunset!
What a perfect Washington day for a hike.
Saddest part of the hike is seeing everything that got burnt during the fires. On the bright side there were cute little green plants sprouting everywhere too 🌱
Herman Creek trail yesterday was cold as balls 🌲
Majestic Mount St. Helens. This is my home mountain. I did a lot of growing up under this beauty.
From childhood hikes with my Dad taking us kids on a military march into the wilderness. I hated it then. My little legs were tired and I would of rather gone home and planted my ass in front of a tv or listen to z100. 😂 But it was also where he taught me endurance and a deep appreciation for the wilderness. I’m so grateful to him for those marches. I didn’t realize then how much they would mean to me.
And then fast forward to being a teen.. sneaking out to go make a fire and drink beers with my friends. Bunch of wild country kids going off to the wilderness looking for trouble. Thinking we were cool making fires and flirting with each other. While I struggled to choke down a cheap ass beer.
Isn’t it amazing how a landmark can hold so much meaning and memories for you?! Do you have a place that brings up those feeling of the past?
Hike number one from this past weekend! Yes, I hiked both Saturday and Sunday, I couldn’t waste the unusually warm and insanely gorgeous weather. I have been to some pretty incredible places but Ebey’s Landing will always be my favorite!
Actions speak louder than words.
