It’s a very popular snack in India 🇮🇳! ⠀ ⠀ ✅ A great snack ✅ A great salad topper ✅ A great alternative to chips! ✅ Source of fibre ✅ Source of plant protein ⠀ AND most importantly they are DELICIOUS 😋 ⠀ Making this at home means you will save 💰especially since you can get a can of chickpeas for ~ 75 cents! ⠀ INGREDIENTS 1 can chickpeas, drained 1/2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) Salt (your choice) Spices of your choice (I love paprika or sometimes just plain) ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ METHOD Preheat oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F) 1. Drain chickpeas and pat dry with a paper towel 2. Remove chickpea skins (you don’t have to do this but I personally believe this produces a better result) 3. Once the chickpeas are dry add to a bowl with 1/2 tablespoon EVOO and sprinkle with salt (don’t be stingy) mix together 4. Add chickpeas to a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 30-40 minutes (tossing the chickpeas every 10 minutes) 5. Once golden remove from the oven and THEN toss with your preferred spices. WHY? My favourite yet: DOUBLE CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BROWNIES🖤👏 Ingredients: 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1 tbsp oat flour 2 and a half tbsp of cocoa powder 3 tbsp stevia 1 tbsp sugar free fat free vanilla pudding mix 1 tsp baking powder Handful of semi sweet chocolate chips - Directions: Mix all together then add almond milk to make a batter consistency , but not to liquidy !!! I tripled this recipe to make more since my baking dish was bigger than I expected lol YUM 🍩🍩🍩 Preheat oven at 350, bake for 15-18 minutes !! - For the icing on top, I just used a scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1 tsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp of melted semi sweet chocolate chips and added almond milk as needed to make an icing consistency! Also added some spranks on top because #aesthetic . SIDE NOTE: You can also use this recipe for donuts !!! All ya need is a donut baking pan obv😍

How much do I need to eat to lose weight? It should come as no surprise that this is one of the most frequently asked questions coaches and trainers get. Everyone wants to know how much to eat, but the amount of food is only part of the equation. First, get rid of the notion that “calories don’t matter,” which is sometimes claimed in the latest fad diets, they most certainly do! Just think about the “common sense” aspect of this. If you don’t burn all the calories you consume for, what happens to them? Where do the calories go? Calories are your body’s fuel. Let’s use your car as an example. If you fill up your gas tank (enough to travel 320 miles) and then only drive 100 miles what happened to the unused fuel? It’s still sitting in your tank, isn’t it? You could go “fill up” the tank right now and you’ll pay less for a “full tank” because you had a surplus of fuel sitting there already. In the car it just sits in the tank, so you can’t add the full 20 gals each time you fill up because the gas can’t travel out to the rest of your car and sit as storage. But that’s what it does in your body. Those unused calories you’ve consumed are still “sitting in your tank” being stored as fat somewhere in your body. Each time you “refill your tank” by eating the same number of calories for the next day, imagine that gas tank sitting there holding the unused fuel from last time. If you didn’t use it as fuel for your exercise or your essential bodily functions, then it’s still there no matter what type of diet you’re on. Calories in, calories out. Of course, that’s a simplified answer, but hopefully you get the point. Don’t get me wrong, there are some things that can change the equation, like macronutrient composition and food choices. Take protein for example. Protein has a higher Thermic Effect of Food (TEF) than carbs and fats and can lead to a little higher fat loss, when comparing calories to calories. But on the flip side, higher protein (not a good source of energy) means less carbs and fats, which are more efficient for energy. So, do you go with macros that give you a higher TEF, or more energy for daily activities and your workout? Decisions, decisions...

You want a product that says kiln, hot or cold smoked on it, anything that doesn’t will be dip smoked AKA immersed in chemical smoke & we DON’T want that thank you very much 😑. ⚖️CONTEXT - what does the rest of your diet look like 🤓 Is it full is rainbow colours, #healthyfats & #antioxidants OR does it have processed foods, oxidised nasties & sweets in it? 🧐 If you’re getting GOOD #nutrition in the majority of the time then having a bit of smoked #fish in there because you fancy it is FINE 😃. 📆FREQUENCY - caveat time 👉🏻 YES there is potential from those smokey compounds to damage cells SO stick to your fresh options most of the time & just pop these varieties in once in a while 👌🏻 (& if you have other concerns due to a family medical history then perhaps keep them out all together 🤷🏻‍♀️). . Dinner Tuna Bake . 16 oz Canned Tuna; 4 Eggs; 300g Egg Whites; 4 TBSP Cream Cheese (scooped with a mini spoon to create tiny dollops); 2oz Sharp Cheddar; 6 Cherry tomatoes sliced in quarters; salt and pepper to taste. . Spread drained tuna into baking dish. Spread cream cheese dollops evenly over tuna. Spread cherry tomato quarters evenly. Beat Eggs and whites, add salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over everything. Spread Cheddar over. Bake @425 °F Approx 30 minutes or until top and sides are browned with the center not jiggly. Enjoy! 😁 .
