Day Three 🌊
Drove down the Highway one from Carmel all the way down through the big Sur thanks to recommendations from not only my friend Neepam but from our Uber driver in San Fran ✔️
Stopped at Bixby Bridge and took a corny hand holding adventure photo (not sure why I’d lead him by the hand off a cliff but we copied someone else we saw there 😂) ✔️
Visited Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and walked to the Gorge and along the stream ✔️
Stopped off at Henry Miller Memorial Library ✔️
Stopped off at Whalewatchers Cafe for Lunch ✔️
Stopped off to see some Sea Lions and got up close and personal with some squirrel friends (Litterally came right up to my phone as I was videoing them!) ✔️
Arrived in Santa Barbara and got Green Burrito + Carl’s Jnr for Dinner ✔️
Bring on LA tomorrow 🙌🏻

I'm thinking about using this as the intro quote for my novel! What do you think? For those who've missed it: my book is about the life of June, of Anaïs Nin's "Henry and June" and the "Mona" of pretty much all of Henry Miller's books. He turned her into literature. Now I did the same thing to him - and to Anaïs. Revenge!! .
My book is coming in sweden at @naturochkultur
next fall (2019) and hopefully around the same time in the US as well. It will be translated this winter. I'll tell you more soon! Now I'm just trying to get it from over 1 million characters (in Sweden we don't count words, because they are soo long sometimes, instead the number of characters of a text) to 750 000. My publisher Richard (who thanks to me now believes in Mercury retrograde!! Lol) said I can't give the script back if it's over 750! 😜 .
But it's ok I'm really enjoying this "tightening" process. Especially now that my daughter is in school after a billion pages of paperwork and doctors appointments and dentist appointment (mom life takes so much time..) and I've finally found an apartment despite having no proper job... so that practical stuff doesn't take all of my time. Now I can just FOCUS which I love! I got a pretty decent advance so I get to relax a little financially for the first time in... my life.... .
A couple of deadlines on columns and book reviews, but besides that, the next month is just cutting the shit out of my novel! Chop chop fucker !! It feels so good to have worked so hard for something and now it's just..... Trying to enjoy it all unfold. .
But: It's also scary to get what you want! Because then you have to take responsibility, and can no longer feel like a victim all the time....And that's what my next column is about, you can read it next week. .
Follow your dreams! It's worth it - even if it takes time. I love you and I believe in you!! There is enough in the universe for all of us to follow our calling! .
I’m a writing-nerd 🤓 and proud of it 😎. At nine I was published in a book for the first time (a story taking place in🌪-land). As a teenager, I wrote for local newspapers and a women’s magazine, while a play I wrote was performed by a few different colleges. Then I wrote for my own college newspaper, and suddenly fell into the role of being a ghostwriter for politicians (and then I fell for a sportswriter actually from 🌪-land!). Words can separate us or bring us together in a way like nothing else can. So I was excited to come here, have a cup of tea and do nothing but peruse while surrounded by what I adore 📚❣️
Fritzi in Henry Miller Library
Big Sur, CA
Fun Fact: My pawrents named me after Henry Miller and I finally got to visit his memorial in Big Sur!
This past week my friend came to visit me. We went to Big Sur for the day. It was so lovely and our only plan was to see the purple sand at #pfeifferstatebeach
. While we waiting to get into that beach we ran into this adorable library, and i am so glad we did. It was so cute and charming, and relaxing and just perfect. #henrymillerlibrary #bigsur #funfinds #library
Sick art at the #henrymillerlibrary
Although it’s not a library but a $bookstore$. Still, a great one and a beautiful place among the giant Redwood trees that make you feel so small. No wonder Miller and Kerouac came to live here. #bigsur
Henry Miller Library- The Lab
[PART 1] This text was published in 1934 but censored in the United States until 1961. Today it is one of the classics of American literature. In the romanticism of my youth, I read and re-read this passage so many times that I almost memorized it. I produced this video in partnership with Atraves and released it last December in response to a year full of censorships to the arts in Brazil. I am very grateful to all the INHUMANS in the video and out of it. As for the HUMAN ones, enjoy it in moderation! #atravestv #henrymiller #henrymillerlibrary
