Happy Monday, lovelies! 😍
I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you beautiful souls who choose to follow along on my #HealthyMadeWell
I started this account a few years ago, when I decided to make drastic changes to my diet (i.e., eliminating gluten and dairy) due to various health concerns.
I wanted to have a place to share my journey, and to garner inspiration from others who were on a similar path.
Over the years, I have connected with so many amazing people...they have helped me to learn, to grow, and to heal.
I am forever grateful to all of my teachers...each and every one of you! .
In addition to being a full-time teacher, one of my favourite things to do is recipe test for nutritionists and cookbook authors. It brings me so much joy to watch a recipe come together, to savour it, and to share it with my family and friends!
Tonight, in honour of #meatlessmonday
, I recipe tested this Sweet Potato Veggie Pad Thai for @joyoushealth
’s soon to be released third book...the #joyouscookbook
I wish I could share this recipe with you right now...it is sooooo delicious...and the fam loved it, but you will have to wait until Joy’s book is on the shelves! .
If you or anyone you know has had to make drastic changes to their diet for whatever reason, please know that you are not alone.
I always encourage people to think about all the delicious things they can eat, as opposed to what they can’t. To be honest, I’ve come to understand that it’s not really only about the food anyway (yes...food is an important factor), but healing is about much more than what we eat...Our ability to heal is impacted by the thoughts we think, the company we keep, and what we choose to do with our time.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day...my intention is to be the best possible version of myself, while sharing my passion for health and wellness with anyone who will listen... I am always open to opportunities to connect and to learn.
With love, Light, and gratitude...
