More often than not, women come to me because their metabolism, their hormones, or their gut, has been compromised from a previous diet. Do your research and get support from someone you trust!
✅ MICROS > MACROS 🍎
Macro tracking (aka flexible dieting) can be very effective, IF you’re prioritizing micronutrients. Filling your macros with processed foods will lead to poor digestion, nutrient deficiencies, an unhealthy gut, and a less efficient metabolism. #MicrosMatter

That's what is so nice about the nutrition plans I use with clients, diets normally require you to starve yourself or give up food groups where as nutrition plans are adjustable to your current needs. You change it according to your goals and where you are on your journey. Real food that you would normally eat, yet organized, to support your healthy goals.. 📍Abs Abs Abs
Negative Resistance Training(NRT) or eccentric muscle training -- is the complete opposite approach to what most of us are used to. This Eccentric or negative action refers to the lengthening of a muscle when you lower the weight or recoil from the action with control. A little known fact: A muscle can handle substantially more weight when it's lengthening than when it's contracting.
This negative resistance decline ab exercise is great for strengthening your entire core complex by adding a different adaptation of stress to your body.
1. Keep your arms directly overhead (as you slowly lower, they may want to move out in front of your body)
2. Keep your eyeline up with your head staked and in line with your spine.
3. Hold your breathe and keep your core engaged as you lower as slowly as you can
4. Before your back touches the bench, exhale as you sit up and squeeze your abdominals
‼️Repeat 10 reps x 3 sets

When you form healthy habitual behaviors for the morning, you set your day up for success. (insert relaxing nature 🚿 here)
Whether you are aware of them or not, you operate under habits (both good and bad) all the time—they are an integral part of your daily existence. Part of developing a healthy habit, is to become intentional with it.
Most habits are formed because they are easy or along the path of least resistance. If you want to cultivate positive habits, then you may need to put some intentional effort into forming them until they become second nature.

What gives you energy? ☀️ We hear it all the time. “I just don’t have the energy”. It’s especially common for mothers. There are many contributors to this lack of energy aside from the obvious... (Kids). -Great content for another post. 😂
However, if you had to pick something, or a few somethings which typically boosts that energy... what would it be? **and I’m not talking coffee. (Thank god for coffee)
For me (I have a lot 😆)- how I start my day, diet, and water consumption are HUGE contributors to my overall energy level and brain function.
Also, being outside in the sun. I can feel my battery power increase in the sun. And, having someone to move with. As a mother of young children you never have to look far for someone to move with.
If I were at the beach by myself I would walk, look for teeth, and do some yoga (ugh... heavenly). With the boys I run around and play. It doesn’t feel like “working out” because we are having fun! 🤗 ***I may be tired after but that’s neither here nor there. 👀 🤷🏻♀️💕

I programmed this workout today for my new client! I was so happy to find out she has a rower at her house! So she did a 300m Row and she used 8 pound dumbbells. (I added a run to the above, in case you don’t have a rower)
She killed the workout with 4 Rounds and 5 Push press. So proud of her first workout today! 💜💪🏼
***Pan-seared Brussels*** Looking for a quick and easy side dish? This is one of my favorites! 😋 💗
Just slice up some Brussels sprouts and red onion. Add a tablespoon of avocado oil or better to a pan, then add onion. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. .
Then add Brussels and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add more oil if the pan is dry. Let cook for a few minutes before stirring so the Brussels get nice and seared. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes or until the veggies are crisp-tender. Take off heat and put a lid on the pan and let sit for a couple minutes until you’re ready to serve (they will soften a bit more as they steam in the closed pan).
I usually have these along side some grilled fish or chicken. This time I had it with some blackened salmon (wild-caught of course 😉). Even if you thought you hate Brussels sprouts, give this one a try...so much yummy flavor! It’s all in how you cook them 😁

VEGAN 🥙 TACO 🌮 TUESDAY😋
I usually LOVE eating the same dinner every night (my go-to salad combination I often have on my insta stories😂) but I like to switch it up once in a while too.🤗
These ‘tacos’ are sooo good & instead of using wraps or shells, I use big, leafy collard greens.🤗 Loooove tacos because you can put SO many different things in them and get creative😍🙌🏻🥑🥕🌽🍅
**veggies are roasted in balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, and a lilttle but of date nectar😍😋

💗 Set up a day for yourself to just relax and unwind, whether it be taking a bath, giving yourself a facial, baking yummy fall things, etc.
💗 Fueling your body with whole, nutritious foods! When you take care of your body with proper nutrition, your body will take care of you 🙏🏼
💗 Stay physically active and being consistent with your routine; whether you’re lifting in the gym, doing yoga, or walking your dogs! Anything to rev up that metabolism & endorphins 💪🏼
💗 Spending quality time with my family, friends and boo! I love going out to eat and now that it’s cooler out there will be more bonfires and fairs to go to 🙊
