Between ages 17-22 I created a life that filled me up in every way through changing from within~ replacing poor habits with healthy ones, changing my diet, surrounding myself with friends who made me feel good and being ever curious about my life and life itself
When I moved to Maine age 22 I lost attention towards my inner voice and lost myself once again, yet in a deeper darker place. I gained weight, had the worst acne breakout of my life, hid inside and stopped looking within for answers.
2 years later, age 24 a trip home to family and friends reminded me of my love for inside out health and wellness. It sparked something within me that made going back to Maine feeling the same stagnation and lack of fulfillment not okay.
While lost in the woods that following weekend back in Maine this poem came to my mind. It was quite intense and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. It started with words the words “I’m just a girl...”
They chanted in my mind over and over and needed to be let out. So I wrote them down. My chanting turned into this poem and it reflects everything I believe the world is in need of. This poem reflects how I hope to help the world too
It was after writing this poem I knew I fell into a deeper darker place to better relate to those I wanted to help and heal~ because i knew then I wanted to help people ~ starting from WITHIN
This is my mission. My purpose. My Message. I have learned much since. Started my own business. Began classes with IIN. Moved across the country. Healed my skin. Lost weight. Re-found my healthy habits. Gained love and appreciation for all the lessons I’ve learned and been given and am so happy to be where I am today because of it all

Some photos are picture perfect 📸🖼 But most of mine are actually more like this one! Here's the story behind this picture. Brendan and I decided to walk 🚶♂️🚶🏼♀️ to our local for lunch 🍽 one day. On the way there, I of course have to stop and look at all the pretty flowers 🌹🌻🌺🌼🌷 (and get a snap 😂). As Brendan hesitantly started to take photos outside this random person's 🏡, the wind 🌬 starts blowing this way ↖️ and that way ➡️, I'm trying to get my hair out of my mouth & to just smell the damn flower but no, the universe just wasn't having it! 👎 ☆
Moral of the story - life isn't always perfect 🙅🏼♀️. But even a photo like this tells a story & for me, I enjoy sharing them because I ❤ to have a good laugh (especially at myself 😄) and I hope it makes you guys laugh too (or at least smile 🙂). Instagram tends to give people unrealistic expectations about themselves and life so I'm just here tryin' to keep it REAL ✌

It is no secret that Terry and I both have very different health goals. It’s also no secret that I have had an accident resulting in a brain injury that has very much complicated things in my life. But generally speaking, Terry has mostly always been on the overweight side, and I have always been on the underweight side of healthy.
This is what we didn’t know prior to my accident and have learned in all of our (read: Terry’s) research we’ve done since. Gut health and the body’s microbiome is one of the biggest issues people have within their bodies and don’t even know it. It is also known that the gut is considered a persons “second” brain, for more than one reason....which I can go into detail about another time 🙃. Over the past little while.....11 months for me, and just a couple for Terry, we have been focusing on gut health as a way for me to try to get my brain back on track, and for Terry to become overall healthier.
My brain will always be a work in progress now, we know this. But, there are other things I’ve noticed within my body since we’ve started our gut health regimen, and for Terry, well the photos speak for themselves. But when you balance blood sugar, reduce inflammation and get your gut healthy, good things happen 😊. A deficiency in iron during pregnancy can increase the risk if premature birth, low birth weight, impaired cognitive or behavioral development in infants.
Most of the time, prenatal vitamins with have iron included (however, with supplements, it comes down to the recipe of the supplement and how much you ABSORB).
Not all iron found in food is equal, and iron that is found in meat is most absorbable by the body.
However, some good food sources of iron can be found in: clams, white beans, dark chocolate (🙋♀️) spinach, beef liver, beef, and beans. .

My first group of kids (3rd photo) started off with amazing energy! Seldom do the youth receive nutrition education, or regard nutrition as a science, that should be applied daily! Today my goal was to plant the seeds of change and empower the youth to make their health a priority!

Idiots Guide to Ayurveda has been such a blessing in my life as I have always suffered from some sort of digestive imbalance. With her knowledge and beautiful way of explaining the teachings of Ayurveda, I have learned WHY my Dosha was imbalnaced and how to correct the imbalances with food, rituals, and love.
I highly recommend her book and podcast if you are wanting to learn more about your Dosha, Ayurveda and how to heal your body holistically.

The oils that are on here may change weekly or even daily to meet our needs, but this mountain shelf is beside our bed with our morning and nightly oils. 🙌🏼 The ones we use AM & PM without excuses 👊🏼(** this isn’t even 1/8 of our collection 🤦🏻♀️, just the ones we use immediately when we rise and the ones we want before bed).
In order for these gems to work we have to use them so we have our must haves out right beside our bed as our gentle reminder to apply 💕.

Today is Mastocytosis and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome/Disorder (MCAS or MCAD) Awareness Day. It's one of my Autoimmune Illnesses and it's do rare that most physicians don't know about it or understand enough about it to treat those of us who have it.
