After yesterday’s transformation Tuesday post I have had a tonne of new followers so I thought I should introduce myself again. My name is Bec and I’m a 32yr old mama to 2 beautiful girls. I live just outside Melbourne, Australia and have been on a ketogenic diet for 11months. I have lost over 30kgs and am still gradually losing. I don’t count my full macros, I only count my carb intake. I am not a member of a gym nor do I work out at home (too lazy for those shenanigans) I’m just a busy mama of two kids. At first, myself included BUT when you set BIG goals for yourself you make adjustments and find time! ——————— Would I rather wake up an hour or so earlier than I normally would and get 1/2 of my to do list done or would I rather sleep in, work all day, and have it waiting for me at the end of a long day? —————————— I feel so much better and have a more productive day when I, wake up early, read my devotional of the day and 10-15 mins of some form of personal development, drink my shake for breakfast to start my body with great nutrients, and have some time to work on my coaching business. ————————- Try waking up 30-60 mins earlier than usual! ** running?!! ** Ok, so let me tell you something, if there is one thing I don’t like is running! I have never been a fan of it - Running fast short distance was my thing at school but long distance was just a torture. BUT, since starting yoga over a month ago I started to get this urge of going for a run, mainly after a yoga class 🤷🏼‍♀️ It is almost like the yoga was awakening an energy that I needed to let out... Part 1 of 2: Hands down one of the hardest things I have ever posted and will ever post ❤️ I have spent my entire life being compared to others and because of that, I myself would spend countless hours comparing myself to those people. I was the fat cousin, the fat sister, the fat friend and was told that I wasn’t good enough over and over again. I will never forget the day that I was told by a family member that I was pretty, but I would be even prettier if I lost weight. I will never forget the day an ex-boyfriend told me that if I ever left him, no man would ever want me because I was so fat and unattractive. So what did I do? I stayed in that abusive relationship for months. I will never forget that a so called “friend”/ex-boyfriend told me that he would only date me if I was skinnier. I will never forget the day that a former employer told me that I was too big to be an infant teacher at the daycare I was employed at and that I should go to Pre-K because I could sit down more with them and not have to move as much. All of those things lead me on a downwards spiral of depression, weight gain, and crippling anxiety. I kept gaining weight due to eating away my feelings and downing a bottle of wine every night when I was in college. I was so depressed and self-conscious that I would lock myself in my room with a box of pizza and a bottle of whatever alcohol I could get my hands on and cry myself to sleep ever single night. I skipped class almost everyday and in turn caused me to fail 3/6 of my classes that semester. You know the scary part? No one really knew I was as bad as I was because I was so good at hiding it. I would pretend to be happy and positive all the time and people just thought my weight gain was caused because I was lazy and stopped caring about myself. The truth is, I did stop caring. I stopped caring about everything and anything that should have mattered and allowed the words people had told me in the past define me. I even contemplated ending my life back in 2015 when I was at my lowest point. Those scary thoughts are what made me wake up and realize I had to make a change and fight for my future.

*MILK CHOC CRACKLE FUDGE* A healthier take on the old school crackle! With a salted caramel popcorn buzz on top 🤪 Delicious & no added sugar, plus super easy to make!!:) recipe serves 14 pieces. Ingredients: * 1/3 cup of milk choc buttons (there are lots of non dairy options. Can use dark too for less sugar. I used a no added sugar milk choc) *70g of coconut oil *1/4 cup of rice malt syrup *4 heaped tbs of unsweetened cocoa (cacao can be used also ) *1/3 cup of peanut butter *4-5 tbs of quinoa puffs (I used @goodmorningcereals ) *hand full of popcorn to garnish (I used @cobspopcorn Salted caramel) -optional . In a saucepan over low heat mix all ingredients except quinoa puffs & popcorn until well combined. If it’s too thick you can add a few tbs of water or coconut milk. In a lined loaf tin , silicone is the easiest, layer 3 tbs of the quinoa puffs. Poor fudge mixture on top of the puffs. Add remaining puffs and popcorn to the top of the fudge and place In the freezer or refrigerate for 2 hours. . Slice & enjoy ! Keep refrigerated. Easy & only 118 calories per slice based on the ingredients I used 💁🏻‍♀️😋

I was FaceTiming my grandma for the first ~38 minutes walking on the treadmill because the gym was empty. And I talk with my hands, so I accidentally pulled the emergency stop cord thing 🛑and it stopped my workout. So then I restarted it and didn’t think about the almost 40 minutes I already put in so I had an hour total: 3.02 miles. Mostly slow & steady, running my mouth more than my feet 🤣🤣🤣
Soo, I know I always say, “never miss a workout”, buttttttt... sometimes you *have* to listen to your body. Today felt like I was just going through the motions, and just “being”.. I fell asleep with my NK today when I put her down for nap, and slept almost the entire time she did: and that NEVERRR happens! My body was clearly telling me I have been overdoing it... working too much, adventuring too much, all of it, just too much. So, I met up after work with a friend of mine who literally lives a stones’ throw from my NF’s home, and it was so refreshing to catch up with a friend. I opted to skip kickboxing tonight, so that I could be home with my pups, and get things done around my apartment: laundry, dishes, meal prep, etc. Once all that was finished, I soaked in a bubble bath and wrote out MY gratitude list.. as suggested by my counselor and therapist. I have joined several gyms before and they’ve been cosy, have the essentials etc but with only 2 days in at this gym and I feel like this whare is where the ❤️ is and where my fit whānau are. . . I met the owner Briar of @phoenixfitness1 about 5years ago when I was losing weight for my wedding at another gym and she was so invested in my journey back then and still now, it’s nice to have that history and an owner of a gym that lives, breathes and dreams health and fitness. . . My current boss of my body (PT) @shannon.valledy has been a new friend I have gotten to know over the last year through my family, she was once on a similar journey with weight loss and her son in mind. I love that Shannon has been there and knows exactly the high and lows that I feel. . .
