It’s NOT ALL or NOTHING...at least for me. One of the big misconceptions, I’ve found, around the use of essential oils, is the idea that you have to choose between holistic health and western medicine. Let me assure you - you do not! I know we “holistic hippies” may build on this misconception because we often share that we don’t turn to western medicine first. In my own home, our oils and natural remedies have taken over our home’s medicine cabinet. For over 3 years they have become our “first go to” for everything from colds, to earaches, to allergies, to sleep trouble, to emotional upheaval, to digestive trouble, to headaches, and more. But if these problems persist, then we will go see our doctors and we will take medicine if needed. But we’ve found that we need to run to the doctor and use those medicines a whole lot less than ever before. And I consider that a huge win for our long term health. 💪🏻 .
Today, I found myself at my GP, whom I hadn’t seen since last year’s “wellness check”. I suspected that the cold that started last week had brewed a nasty sinus infection. He confirmed that to be the case. All my natural remedies have kept it from inhabiting my lungs (which it always did in years past) 🙌🏼 and they kept me functioning all week. But the sinus pain and pressure had grown too great and I knew I needed some western medical intervention. And that’s another blessing of living a more holistic lifestyle. I’m more attune with my body than ever before - listening to it and responding to what it needs.
My doctors are now partners with me in my health decisions. I don’t feel the need to run to them first, or always choose to do what they’ve suggested (yes, you do have a choice), but I do respect the wisdom and resources they can provide for me when I need it. And I’m so grateful for them! Holistic health and western medicine can work together beautifully. It’s your choice how to make that work for you.

No se que extraña fantasía tienen las personas acerca de lo que ocurre entre las máquinas, mancuernas, discos y barras de un gym... ¿Acaso creen que les crean músculos a todos aquellos que simplemente las tocan con sus manos?
JAJAJA, no es tan sencillo!
El proceso de construcción/desarrollo/hipertrofia muscular depende de 3 factores imprescindibles⤵️
⚠️También juegan otros factores secundarios pero NO menos importantes➡️✔Tiempo ✔Constancia ✔Fuerza de voluntad ✔Genética
No es imposible desarrollar músculo pero tampoco es tan sencillo como "anotarte en un gym e ir 2 o 3 días por semana a la sala de aparatos".
Mucha gente tiene esta creencia: "los aparatos me desarrollan muchos músculos". Cuando la realidad es que por usar "aparatos" no alcanza para generar músculo. Depende de todo lo que te mencioné.
Entrenar duro, alimentarse de forma completa (y no hablo de un yogur con granola y una manzana), descansar y todo eso sostenerlo en el tiempo.
Asi que no tengas miedo, anotate en el gym, empezá a activar tus músculos, entrená con constancia, cuidá tus comidas y tu cuerpo empezará a cambiar para mejor SIN convertirse en una masa de músculos hiperdesarrollados... eso es otra historia!

No pensé poner recetas en mi feed jaja pero... los amo y al cliente lo que pida 🤪 🔅1/2 taza harina de almendra
🔅1/2 taza harina de coco (puedes usar harina de avena o la taza completa de la harina de almendra)
🔅2 plátanos grandes maduros (o ya súper listos para comerse)
🔅 3 claras y 1 yema (puedes sustituir el huevo con linaza entera previamente remojada en agua caliente 1🥚=1🥄grande de linaza)
🔅1 cdita🥄 de canela en polvo
🔅 chorrito de vainilla líquida 🔅 1/2cdita🥄 de polvo para hornear
🔅cacao nibs al gusto (puedes usar chispas de chocolate sin azúcar)
🔅crema de cacahuate (sin azúcar y sin aceite)
OPCIONAL (yo no usé), le puedes agregar una cucharada de azúcar de coco, no creo que lo necesite pero depende de cada quien.
Precalienta tu horno, el mío está en gradosC , lo puse a 200/225*C.
En un recipiente junta todos los ingredientes secos(polvos), aparte tritura los plátanos, puede ser con un tenedor o licuadora, yo prefiero tenedor, una vez hecho puré agrégalo en la mezcla de las harinas, junto con los ingredientes líquidos restantes, (huevo, vainilla), agrega una cucharada de crema de cacahuate a la mezcla y los cacao nibs, (y el azúcar si decidiste ponerle). Coloca la mezcla en el molde que tú tengas, yo las quise poner como galletitas; a mi molde no se le pega nada así que no tuve que ponerle grasa pero si al tuyo se le pega mejor embárrale ghee o aceite de coco en los bordes.
Una vez en el refractario, ponle toppings de cacao nibs y un poco de crema de cacahuate como decoración.
PUEDES CAMBIAR LOS CACAO NIBS POR NUECES, SI QUIERES.

Blessed & Obsessed💕✨ My Dad visit me in my dreams last night. It was my first dream since he left and oh my goodness was it vivid and felt so real. He spent the night at my house and I remember running in the room to see if he was still there in the morning "in the dream," which he was. He then said he wanted to cook some crab legs. (If you know my Dad you know cooking crab legs is like a tradition for us.) I woke up at 3:30am bawling my eyes out of sorrow that it wasn't real, but happiness because it was so real in my dreams. Thank you so much Dad, I needed that dream. He'll forever be apart of my favorite memories and now looking forward to being my best dreams🕊🙏🏻✨

When I say my heart aches, I actually mean it physically hurts. I've never felt a broken heart til now, and at times I clench my chest as my heart literally feels broken. I'm depressed, sad and broken. I have smiled and laughed at things, but I haven't felt "happy" since my Dad left. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!🍁🍂✨ This year was so much more than just dressing up for pictures, or stay up pre gaming for Black Friday. This year was OUR year! I didn't share this at the time last year because I still couldn't wrap my head on what the Dr. told us when they almost guaranteed that last Thanksgiving would be my Dad's last one when they gave him 6 months to live. Most don't know, but we've lived with "time limits" on my Dad most of my life because he isn't the healthiest but he continues to prove time & time again that he is the Strongest, & is my real life Superman. Today was about cooking in the kitchen like old times with my ol' man. It was spent with my dad, kids dad & my kids. Watching family movies, talking on FaceTime for hours with my big brother whom lives in our home town San Diego California. We laughed at the memories as kids to adults & even shed some tears!
