This can mean a lot of things. For example to accept a situation we’re in. Allowing ourselves to be in it, to be there. Also to allow ourselves to actually be where we are, with our physical body. It’s so easy to already be at work when we’re on our way there. Если приходит на занятие новичок, то я себе ставлю задачу в зависимости от степени его физической подготовки. Важно, чтобы он не уснул в процессе, за исключением шавасаны, а также не покончил жизнь самоубийством на коврике. Первая задача решается дополнительной и продолжительной планкой или ее аналогом, вторая же - своевременной командой «стоп». Причём, иногда это приходится сделать в достаточно жёсткой форме. Так сказать, остановить журавля на взлёте, чтобы его клюв не помялся об обманчиво мягкий коврик. Yoga doesnt discriminate with its effects and  benefits. It has always been a practice to evolve higher consciousness, but to get to that level the body needs to be ready for that kind of energy! So the practice works on preparing the body.... and the mind also gets  cleansed. Mental patterns and beliefs start shifting too (of course, there is work and effort involved..) So eventually there are benefits- we dont need to fixate over achieving nirvana right now, but surely we can enjoy the deeply healing journey and process!

GROUNDING Last Saturday I was invited by @queens_brigade to be a guest speaker at their High Five Talks January Meet which was being held at Lodhi Gardens this time in a picnic setup 🌸✨🌸 For the first time, they decided to keep it in the lap of Nature to connect with Mother Earth, a huge change from their usual venue which happens to an upscale fancy restaurant!! I can't begin to tell you how much fun it was to ground ourselves, to soak in the sunshine & breath in the camaraderie in the air!! It's so so important to connect back to Earth 🌎🌸 Among the many things that challenge our health and wellbeing is that in our modern world we are being constantly bombarded with electromagnetic energy. With the high prevalence of electromagnetic fields (EMFs), Wi-Fi and mobile phone waves, many of us have an excess of unpaired, positive electrons (a.k.a free radicals) building up in our bodies on a each day.
