This is a picture that I took on “accident”. You know... the pictures you take of the inside of your pocket, your feet or the side of your face because you think you have the camera turned “off”. Most people delete these types of pictures. Not me. They are some of my favorites. I like to think that it’s my angels trying to show me something.

My husband has a cookie recipe that he found awhile back, in search of the most amazing chocolate chip cookies.
And every now and then he will get to work making a batch (or two... or three) of these amazing cookies.
Now, it’s usually me who does the baking. I have loved baking since I was a child. When I turned 18 my mom bought me an entire set of baking essentials.
But chocolate chip cookies weren’t ever on my list of things to bake. So when my husband found this recipe and started to make them from time to time, I felt so spoiled! 😍
The other night he set to work making his cookies. I was already anticipating how they’d taste. How they’d look, set on a plate in the kitchen.
But when he went to pull the first batch out of the oven I heard him snicker.
I went over and saw not the plump small cookies he usually makes. But these flattened, wrinkled, thin cookies.
We both instantly went over the ingredient list - sure he must have forgotten something. And maybe he did, but we can’t figure it out.
We were both confused. These cookies didn’t look real appealing at first, but as they cooled, they started to look awfully tasty. And were they EVER! 🤤
It got me thinking about when we are anticipating something. Praying for it, even. Asking God for what we want, what we think we need, and hoping and planning for it to come to fruition.
And then... it comes out... not quite how we asked. Or maybe not at all. Maybe God directs us in a whole different direction.
Because the whole time we thought we knew what we wanted, God had something better planned - even if it didn’t look the way we had expected it to!
So thankful that God knows what we need more than we do. That a No to my prayer doesn’t ultimately mean a No to a blessing. And that thin wrinkled cookies can taste even better than plump round ones! 😜🙌🏼
Now if only we can figure out how to make this happen again. 🤔🤣
Friends, I really want to laugh more! Maybe that wouldn't be so hard if I had some of these @larabar
truffles today. For real. In certain situations, I wish my first response was laughter. Like when water gets spilled on top of electronics.
I've been reading through Releasing Emotional Patterns. The author suggests laughter is the way out of anger. A chuckle could have went a long way earlier today. Instead of the "No, No, No!" I found myself saying.
Do you face situations that could use a smidge of laughter? Me, too! My desire is to search for the good/blessing in everything. It helps that I love to look at things from all sides!
The bright side...I now have freshly cleaned floors, dust free cords, and I *think* nothing was damaged by the water.
Sometimes accidents happen and they are happy accidents. Let me introduce you to my “Happy Accidents”. If you decorate cookies you need something to pop bubbles, move icing fix a messed up line, you get the idea, accidents. These happy little guys fix those. Also I was making a bead and needed to poke a hole in it and had an aha moment. Therefore the name: Happy Accidents. I have so many designs racing around in my head!! . .

I made this bracelet when I started college. I'm not a big Jesus fan so mine stands for What Would Bob Ross Do. It's a question I ask myself when I think about how my life is a wreck because my own bad choices.
"There are no mistakes just happy accidents."
No one cares, but we out her begging for attention.
