Hey everyone!! It’s been so long since I’ve introduced myself on here so I thought I’d take a second to introduce myself!
My name is Jess (I’m the voice behind OMV). I’m a clinical counsellor, mother, wife, believer. .
Fave foods are Thai food, Indian food, and coffee (that’s a food group right?). My areas of speciality are perinatal mental health (What this page is all about!!), anxiety, and working with parents who have kids with mental health struggles or challenging behaviour or intellectual disabilities (as well as working with children!). .
This page was built out of a passion for getting information out there to moms and families about mental health in the postpartum period! After going through a struggle myself after having my baby, I noticed a huge lack of information online for moms about what motherhood can really look like! I felt like I was the only mom to struggle and after going through my journey and coming out the other side I wanted to create a safe space for moms where they knew they weren’t alone and there was hope! This page is here to support you in your motherhood journey no matter where you might be on this journey! .
💕💕Who are you!!? Introduce yourself below! 💕💕 . .
We are SO happy to have you here in this village!
😘 —also if you are interested in counselling or online coaching services send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Bringing some color to a world that’s filled with shades of gray 🎨
Have been doing a lot of self-reflecting lately and I’m truly starting to understand the meaning behind not letting your highs get too high or your lows get to low
It’s really about not letting yourself get caught up in the hype when you are ‘up’ or ‘down’ and staying grounded in the ‘now’ or present moment
Life is made up of moments. Good ones and bad ones, but they’re all worth living
So just remember when we chase after happiness as a movement, we move further away from it. Because happiness can only exist in this moment, right here, right now
Drop a comment if you read this far would love to hear your thoughts!! ⬇️⬇️
💭Are you actually happy in the photos you’re posting, or are they taken just for ‘the gram’?
💭I’ve been 100% guilty of this and wish we would all talk more about how harmful living life this way is.
💭The dopamine that gets released when we receive a ‘like’ has become so addictive that it can be hard find the actual happiness offline, unless you recognize this habit and actively make a change.
💭If your happiness relies on whether or not people move their thumb up and down twice, lets work on that!
💭If you’ve felt this way, currently feel this way or want to regain real life happiness, let’s talk and encourage each other!💕
Have you found any ways to overcome self-blame? Comment below to help others learn from your experience.
Self-blame is brutal, but often when I talk to clients they aren't aware of how much they blame themselves.
Or even worse, they think the blame is justified and helpful.
It can be easy to internalize criticism from others and believe that it's helpful.
But it's not.
Self-blame rarely leads to any kind of growth, and it almost always slows or stops growth.
When the thoughts in your head are brutally critical, you are less likely to take chances or try new things.
You're less likely to do the things that can help you.
All because of the critical voice in your head, that you probably internalized from other people at some point.
The first step in changing this is learning to recognize it - which can be surprisingly hard. You may need a close friend, therapist or supportive family member to help you notice it.
Once you notice it, you can learn to disempower that voice by answering it back, imagining what your supportive person (therapist, friend, family member) would say instead, or even setting out to prove the voice wrong. There are many ways to deal with it, find the one that works for you.
for posts and videos that help you feel better and live better.

ANGELS into THEIR LIFE😇
🌈What Could an ANGEL SESSION do for you?
I always take Wednesdays off. Lately even my days off have been focused on working on a project dear to my heart, but I have not yet broken my rule of no clients on Wednesdays. I do take time to do something enjoyable for my soul even on the days I’m supposedly not working. :-) today since it’s beautiful I’ll take my dogs for a walk in nature. What are you doing for your self care today?
