Yesterday was rest day for me so today i was back in the gym. Today i did chest/triceps/biceps. I started up with 5 min warm up and then i did the following exercises:
1️⃣incline bench dumbbel fly
2️⃣Dumbbel flat bench press
3️⃣ Standing cable crossover/fly
4️⃣triceps cable pushdown
3 sets/10 reps

Do you know why I wanted to post this? Because I had a really nice older man (in his 70s) come up to me this morning (swipe all the way to see this mornings current physique) and he said he and his wife were trying to get in shape and he asked me a few questions leading with you have no body fat to at the end finishing with can you tell me is this all genetics cause you look fantastic? Clearly not genetics just hard ass work and now I’ve reverse dieted and will continue to do so in order to maintain this physique with less work than it took to get it. And honestly I will want to add some more muscle cuz hell I feel like a strong bad ass now!
I’ve been guilty of the whole I have shit genetics mentality, I’ve tried lots of diets I’ve slimmed down multiple times in my life and gained it all back, because oh genetics 🤷♀️ Turns out it wasn’t genetics you don’t have to get skinny and stay at 1400 calories for life cuz you have “shit genetics” you just need to have an exit strategy!! It’s so important! More so than the diet itself in my opinion cuz hell I’ve dieting a million times and never gotten this lean or been able to eat this much while maintaining my weight!
Take the time to follow people who take the time to share the knowledge and actually READ it, read it again and again, think it through it’ll make sense. Learn to do things properly because knowledge is power and knowing how and why you’re doing something will allow you do continue doing it long term on your own 💪 and that’s sustainability right there!! Go follow some of my favourites and get smarter in 2019 😏 thank me later

Day 12- 1/18/18
Just finished up my upper body workout. Did so much cardio today that honestly...I didn’t intend to. BUTTTTT I was motivated, and felt good, so...figured I’d take advantage. I neeeddd to rest. Have intensely worked out every day this week including Sunday. That’s 6 days in a row. I need to take a rest day...
Who else gets so addicted to the after-gym endorphins and has to fight themselves for a rest day sometimes?!? Just me? Idk...happen to be in a zone right now. Blinders are on and I have a fire lit under my ass!!
Don’t get me wrong- I STRUGGGLLEEEEE sometimes. August/September/October omg forget it. Struggle central. But for some reason winter months I super motivated. All I’ve been repeating in my mind is “SUMMER BODIES ARE MADE IN THE WINTER”

Lifting keeps me balanced, it keeps me focused and excited about something. If you struggle with stress/anxiety/insecurity or anything else that puts a damper on your mental health... you can find relief in the gym, at least I did💗 I work out on my lunch break every day and it is the center of my day so it balances me and makes me feel better throughout the day. I’ve noticed an attitude change if I skip so I try not to do that too often and when I do, I have to tell myself it’s fine, I’ll start over tomorrow😊

to when I used to “do art.” 🤓🎨 This pic is from a few years ago preparing for an art show. Since then (and basically the couple years prior) I virtually haven’t drawn a thing 🥺. From an early age drawing was always my outlet. I’ve been meditating fairly regularly the last few years and I’m realizing drawing used to be my meditation. I think the gym obsession has tried to take its place but with limited success. And running my own business, making money seems do be my only incentive. 💵🤮 Also, I think a seriously shortened attention span, largely due to social media , has kept me from investing time in any artwork.🚫📲 My lost focus required for drawing seems to correlate with my interest in meditation. (Quick plug - If you think mediation is silly, I used to as well. Read Sam Harris or Dan Harris on the subject. SO MANY successful, highly productive people swear by it and there is much science backing it.) Anyway, side tangent...stay focused! I need to get back into drawing. Here’s to doing so! ✍️

🔥Toe Touch-Transfer Crunch Complex: 5 reps
(1 “toe touch”, back down, crunch your knees in, transfer the plate to your knees, legs out, back in = 1 rep😭)
🔥Long Arm Crunch: 10 reps
🔥Russian Twist-Leg Extension Complex: 10 reps
*Try all exercises without a plate or weight first.
Ex. 1️⃣: Cut out the leg extension: Crunch in for the full body crunch as shown, then release the crunch with your upper body and legs at the same time. Feel free to place your legs on the ground between reps.
Ex 2️⃣: Split up the exercise into its two components: Perform 5 toe touches first then perform 5 transfer crunches. Feel free to place your legs on the ground between reps.
Ex 4️⃣: Perform without a plate. Keep your feet on the ground for the russian twists. Then place your hands on the ground behind you as support for the leg extension.

Super happy with progress in the gym after I decided to cut for so long&I got shredded,I finally started a bulk&put on some proper muscle.
Everything is starting to work together now💪🏼 You gotta eat right to build right🙌🏼 51kg to 58kg all pure muscle. I will eventually do another cut for summer🌞
So I find so many things funny about this post to be honest. First off, look at my creeper face in the picture. Second of all, my faces in the video are hilarious AND I had 4 other videos saved that I literally just can’t find ... 😂
Buuut I’m getting super excited that all my hard work is paying off. I’m getting so much stronger, hitting new pr’s and the booty gains are comingggg 🍑
Here is a killer squat variation I like to perform on the smith machine. My favorite leg exercise is one I can add a lot of tension to, such as these squats. Something I’ve found is pause squats & tension squats really cause me to feel it in my glutes and hamstrings. Plus, bands really help to feel that pressure in the glutes!
