This is me. Sitting outside alone on this warm September Saturday afternoon. I feel exhausted after the day I had yesterday. I needed some time to decompress.
While working out at the gym yesterday, my 22 month old daughter had a febrile seizure. I hadn’t ever heard of those until yesterday and now know they are quite common. It was terrible and I watched her have seizure number two and couldn’t do a thing. The ambulance rushed us off the the ER and after test after test, everything came back clear.
Moments like these really make you stop everything and think. What is it that really matters? What do I really, deep down care about more than anything?
My husband and children are my everything. When my mind went to the worse case scenario as I watched her, I didn’t care about anything else.
This morning I celebrated the upcoming birth of my niece at my sister in law’s baby shower. She has struggled to get pregnant for years and finally, after trying everything, she did IVF, and baby girl will be here soon!
This weekend has been painful and joyous and uplifting all at the same time. Stopping and enjoying the moment and hugging those closest to you is just so important.
We can’t forget what really matters.💛💛💛
Awesome day in the gym!!! Meet prep in the works. 305pd with bands. I missed my first attempt and as my coach Shane said, I missed it before I even got up there and he was 100% right. I got my mind right, tried again and got it. I’m still learning every day I step foot in the gym. I still screw up on form from time to time, but I’m getting there! I can’t say enough how much I appreciate Shane and Alisha for everything they do! Love the process and the results will come 🏅 This old pic from five years ago put a smile on my face this morning when it showed up on my Facebook my first and only half marathon.
