This past year I have focused on my health especially #guthealth
, blood sugar imbalances and inflammation in my body. Getting to the rotten layers can be difficult and super disappointing, but this makes sense to me because the past few years I have had odd stuff surfacing and my whole body was reflecting the internal struggle for harmony. I slept horribly, never felt rested and I was just totally exhausted.
Everyday we take in a toxic load of frightening proportions. Processed foods, lack of exercise, steroids, medications, preservatives, chemicals, dyes, hormones and antibiotics overwhelm our bodies and break us down. Our bodies are made to detox and use food, rest, water, thoughts, and movement to fuel that process. We're trying to get rid of that load, still function, and balance old yuck. That's hard stuff without some serious #tools
. And if there's a piece missing, it's like trying to build a home without a foundation. It looks good but it won't last and the process of getting to the root slows down.

I had my first MORNING cold shower yesterday after so many of you messaged me to say that morning cold showers were the bomb and they gave you a tonne of AM energy!
I’ll tell you something, you guys were spot on! It gave me such a buzz and helped me have a super productive morning. After nearly two weeks of building up my stamina, I’m now pretty good at doing a full minute each time. I’m just going to stick with this for the time being and just enjoy the positive effects it’s having on my productivity and mindset! Also, I noticed my shoulders and chest are feeling really smooth, they’re often prone to congestion and the odd nodule...and I’m 3 days away from my period so this is when my skin usually goes a bit berserk!

Digestive enzymes are produced in the mouth, stomach and by the pancreas and help to breakdown food even further.
There are different enzymes for breaking down different foods.

🍏Amylase enzymes - breakdown carbohydrates

While we naturally product enzymes, added support through supplementation may be needed if an individual:
❗️Is older, our production of digestive enzymes reduces as we age.
❗️Has an intolerance to gluten or dairy. While abstaining from these and working on the gut is preferred, enzymes can prevent symptoms caused by food cross contamination.

Feeling tired is a hallmark symptom of blood sugar imbalance and particularly so when it occurs after eating.(aka 2PM crash) If it's bad enough that you can't hold your eyes open after you eat that is a sure sign of dysregulation of your insulin which normally lowers your blood sugar.
Especially for sweets and especially after you eat. Another strong sign of poorly regulated blood sugar.

That supercharged feeling after eating can be a symptom of low blood sugar prior to eating. (I'm not counting the effect of caffeine here). 4. Poor focus or attention.
When you notice that you can't continue to focus on what you are doing especially when it involves listening to someone, this can be a classic sign of failing blood sugar. Irritability, extreme sadness or frustration can accompany this.
5. Low to no appetite.
Another hallmark of elevated blood sugar. Not everyone gets this but it is most prevalent among those who eat dinner too late or snack after dinner.
