"Peaches are my favorite fruit. In fact, we can NEVER keep them for more than a day or two because we ALL love them. Have you ever cut into one though only to find it’s bad on the inside? It looked perfectly fine on the outside but #gross on the inside. This peach is the perfect metaphor for my personal #health #journey . This past year I have focused on my health especially #guthealth , blood sugar imbalances and inflammation in my body. Getting to the rotten layers can be difficult and super disappointing, but this makes sense to me because the past few years I have had odd stuff surfacing and my whole body was reflecting the internal struggle for harmony. I slept horribly, never felt rested and I was just totally exhausted. Everyday we take in a toxic load of frightening proportions. Processed foods, lack of exercise, steroids, medications, preservatives, chemicals, dyes, hormones and antibiotics overwhelm our bodies and break us down. Our bodies are made to detox and use food, rest, water, thoughts, and movement to fuel that process. We're trying to get rid of that load, still function, and balance old yuck. That's hard stuff without some serious #tools . And if there's a piece missing, it's like trying to build a home without a foundation. It looks good but it won't last and the process of getting to the root slows down. I now use food, exercise, rest, and Plexus #supplements as tools daily to keep me healthy but to also support me while getting to the root and clean up transitions. As I go through these processes, I continue to feel better and better. La permeabilità intestinale è la funzione che ci consente, dopo le dovute elaborazioni svolte dalle varie tappe digestive, di assimilare quello che ci serve per vivere. Tutto ciò che noi mettiamo dentro il tubo digerente, viene elaborato da una serie di passaggi digestivi e poi assorbito attivamente. Per fare questo ci occorre attivare una funzione che si chiama permeabilità intestinale. La maggior parte di ciò che passa dal lume intestinale all’interno del nostro corpo, lo fa seguendo la via transcellulare, tramite meccanismi attivi e passivi. In pratica è come se all’interno delle cellule che costituiscono la membrana cellulare ci fosse una stazione doganale, che controlla, trasforma e “fa entrare” nutrienti e molto più. Solo una piccola parte di queste “merci” passa nei piccolissimi corridoi fra cellula e cellula, attraversando attivamente le “giunzioni serrate" che legano saldamente tra loro le cellule della mucosa intestinale. Tutto questo è governato attivamente da molti composti, il più importante e noto dei quali è una proteina denominata ZONULINA (attivata dalla gliadina nel caso del glutine). WOW!!! Even though I've never been diagnosed with #bloodsugar problems ,I was suffering with MOST of these symptoms BIG time before I started Plexus - do you? SYMPTOMS of Blood Sugar Imbalance 1. Fatigue. Feeling tired is a hallmark symptom of blood sugar imbalance and particularly so when it occurs after eating.(aka 2PM crash) If it's bad enough that you can't hold your eyes open after you eat that is a sure sign of dysregulation of your insulin which normally lowers your blood sugar. 2. Cravings. Especially for sweets and especially after you eat. Another strong sign of poorly regulated blood sugar. 3. Feeling super charged after eating. As much as we think that our food should give us energy it actually should do nothing but satisfy hunger and maintain the energy you already have. That supercharged feeling after eating can be a symptom of low blood sugar prior to eating. (I'm not counting the effect of caffeine here). 4. Poor focus or attention. 💅🏻 THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED 💅🏻 Anyone that knows me, knows I've always been a nail-biter 😬 I would bite my nails when I was nervous, I would bite my nails when I was bored, I would bite my nails when they were dry and I would bite my nails because I didn't like the fact that they were short (VICIOUS CIRCLE 🙈) I was ashamed and embarrassed about them. . . . BUT NOW!!! For the first time ever I have long nails 🙌🏼🎉 (that are my own) 🤗 . . . For my birthday/holiday I decided to treat myself to a fun manicure by the wonderful @somibeauty_ ❤ (swipe right to see her amazing work on my tiny nails and be sure to check out her gallery 💅🏻) I did my best to not bite them for 1 month before and now it's been 2 weeks since I had them done. Last night they peeled off because of all the time I've been spending in the sea 🧜🏻‍♀️ But I was so surprised at how long they've grown 😄 I think all the VITAMIN D is helping ☀️ . . . This is a huge achievement for me and I couldn't be happier ❤ . . .
