I’ll be giving ideas on how to establish good eating habits from a young age to help them for years to come and introduce supplements (both diary and non dairy), that can improve gut health. 1 will be giving recipe ideas to integrate super important foods into daily meals that the whole family will love such as prebiotic chocolates!
It will be more of an informal chat giving parents the chance to ask questions and mould the workshop to suit themselves and their personal concerns. We may go slightly ‘off piste’ at times!

One day in November 2017 I woke up and felt something familiar. I had forgotten I used to me a “morning” person. Yes! Cake for breakfast? Could only happen on a saturday, right? 😋 Actually, this was my second breakkie this morning. Had the usual eggs anf veggies, hit the gym and after my workout I enjoyed this lovely bite!
So what kind of cake is it? It's a lucuma cake.
3 dl cashews
1 dl coconut oil
1 dl cacao nibs
4 ripe bananas
1 dl lucuma powder
Make it like this:
1) mix the cashews to a flour in your food processor.
2) Melt the coconut oil.
3) Add the oil, bananas and lucuma powder into the food processor and mix together with the nut flour until a smoooooooth batter.
4) Add the caco nibs and blend very shortly.
5) Pour over in a baking pan dressed with baking paper. Let sit in the fridge or freezer until it's hard.
The first signs of fermentation! I went to check up on my bug first thing and was greeted to this wonderful sight. Lots of bubbles and fizz when shaken and the telltale smell of fermentation. I’m thrilled as my last ginger bug only grew mould 😔

Homemade Tumeric Detox Tea

TURMERIC DETOX TEA
1 teaspoon turmeric powder, @tescofood
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated
½ teaspoon cinnamon
pinch black pepper
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon pure raw honey or stevia
¼ cup coconut milk @alpro
Add hot water to a cup (halfway full)
Place in turmeric and ginger.
Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.
Add cinnamon, black pepper, honey and vanilla
Fill the rest of the cup with coconut milk and stir.
