My favorite part of every hunt.
About 2 miles into the wilderness, we pause to capture the memory and to take in what is happening around us. The anticipation for the endless possibilities immediately before us transcends into great excitement. Our favorite place without a doubt, this is where we feel most at home, connected to the wild, being a part of the natural order of life and death. Many people have lost the instinct to be a predator in today’s soft world of comfort and instant gratification. Some of us cling onto it as tight as we can because we are hunters, providers, and stewards of wild places.
Not gonna lie, I’m ready to put in some miles to track down some freshly shed antlers!! Plus, the deer season withdrawals are real! 😜🦌
I’ve got some new properties to explore and a few target bucks that made it through the season. Plus, people are starting to find them!
👉🏼 What do you do with your sheds?
Well here he is. 14 points. What an awesome hunt in the snow. A few bucks came out together then five minutes later here he comes “double G” the moment I’ve been waiting for. Broadside shot. Was an awesome feeling. Heart was pounding but told myself I gotta make this count. My dad and my buddy @waybake24 were there to help me track him down. A lot of high fives and hugs at the end but to finally seal the deal was amazing. There was a lot of history with this buck. Hard work and dedication pays off. All is possible when you have the big man upstairs by your side.
Bull Moose Monday
It's not every day you see rich red antlers on a moose. These are special, and obviously enormous! Nice work @ceaserlakeoutfitters. Harvested on a boat hunt, a truly amazing experience. #hunterconservation
