This is something that so many young people (myself included) struggle with.
We get all enthused, full of fire and passion about what we want to do, how we want to change the world. Ready to quit our "9-5", going to be popping bottles and buying lambos in 6 months easy.
Then a week passes, a month, 3 months.. And those ideas of cash flowing like Victoria Falls start to look more like the the Greenland ice sheets, moving slowly and receeding alarmingly.
What we do next is the ultimate predictor of future success.
We can either give up on our dreams, telling ourselves convenient little lies like "the market wasn't right", "I got screwed over", or one of the 2 saddest little lies "I wasn't good enough" or "I just need to be realistic right now". Sorry but none of these are true. You just ran out of juice. You gave up because you didn't get the instant response you hoped for. You quit and for no good reason. The old adage " Good things take time" stands true in this case. You need to get ready to eat dirt until you get there. Whether that's in 2 years or 12.
Sorry but that's the way it is. Lasting success, lasting change, whether in your interpersonal, business or inner life, only comes will long periods of concerted effort at improvements.
So keep going. Do what you have to do, until you can do what you want to do.
