Frankly, my past self thought that eating right was phasing our regular pop & making my way to diet instead. And that I could just skip the nachos bell grande & just eat the cheesy gordita crunch. 🤷🏼♀️ Can you relate?
I spent years trying to find a solution that would actually get my food loving self some stinkin’ results. I did weight watchers countless times, I tried the Atkins diet, daily slim fast shakes & more. Nothing worked & why? Because there were no freaking nutrients in half the “food” I was eating. This is how I live my life a lot of the time, both literally and figuratively. I’m always in my head thinking about everything and anything, but I also love to travel and one of my favorite things to do while on a plane is stare out at the clouds and the world passing by 😍⠀

I often think about that line Julie Andrews says; “when God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.”⠀
Sometimes when we are dreaming about that one goal or ideal career, we picture things going in a linear, predictable direction.⠀
But the reality is that life is a series of doors and windows opening and closing. There are ups and downs and setbacks and fail forwards.⠀
Is that something to hide or be shameful of?⠀
These are the spice and glitter and essence of us. The things that make us different than everyone else.⠀

Guys I am so NOT a fan of rain or cold weather. As soon as it drops below 70 and any sort of precipitation falls from sky, I am done.
That must be why my hubby got me this super flu monogrammed rain jacket and cute rain boots, to try to help with my seasonal depression. 😂😂
No but in all honestly, when it’s gross outside it’s really hard for me to want to do anything. I’d rather snuggle under blankets, wear sweatpants, eat junk food and watch movies all day. And while occasional days like that can be good for the soul, they’re not so good for us in general. I think we has humans have an innate desire to be productive, to work toward something. I think happiness comes from growth and today didn’t feel like a day I wanted to waste remaining stagnant so I didn’t. I put on some Beyoncé and made a way too long list of chores (basically cleaning the house top to bottom-which would have normally taken me a week to make my way through) and I crossed off one at a time until there was nothing left to clean and MAN do I feel kick-ass! (Tired, but kick-ass.)
I hope your day brought you joy and I hopeit was productive. If it wasn’t, I hope tomorrow is. Accomplish something. Work toward something. (And please pray to the rain gods above to cut this sh*t out.)

I had some 0sp apple butter left to use so I made some 2sp muffins! These came out amazing and if you haven’t used an applesauce in place of oil before the muffins are a different texture than you might be used to. It’s similar to a fudgey brownie (who doesn’t love that?!) Bake for 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean! This apple butter from @rachelshealthyplate

💪 0- just want to tone up/fine tune my nutrition
My gym is downstairs, but it can be upstairs, outside, in an airport (true story), at an actual gym, etc etc etc.
The cost? $8.25/month or $99 one time a year.
I have access to multiple "personal" trainers and don't have to feel dumb if I mess something up or have to pause to catch my breath. I get access to all new programs as trainers release them and more.
I believe in the programs because I’ve seen success from others and myself.
But.. I was a skeptic. I was a quitter. I didn’t want to spend money on myself knowing I could and would probably fail.
I gave it a chance and I found:
-a community, a family I didn't know I needed but am so glad to have
-a renewed purpose and sense of self
-gratitude and positivity
-freedom, both personally and financially as needed
-better time management skills
and so much more.
Let's not wait until the New Year. Let's avoid the Winter blues and Fall back into a better routine.
