What kind of testing should I get done for celiac disease or gluten intolerance?
A Celiac disease diagnosis is determined based upon histologic demonstration with supporting information. There’s no one perfect test to diagnose the disease.
Doctors are looking for a specific amount of damage to your small intestine. Then they back it up with test results to confirm you have the risk factors.
Autoimmune risk factors are confirmed via lab tests or autoimmune markers are actually observed on your lab work - when gluten intolerance crosses the small intestine. When this is confirmed - Celiac disease is confirmed.
Tests To Be Performed
-- Genetic --
⭐ A genetic test can be performed via blood test or saliva. You can get these performed by your doctor or 23andme. A positive for either of the two genes supports the diagnosis.
-- Autoimmune --
⭐ Tests which measure the level of immune system dysregulation. The drawback is that one would need to have eaten gluten in the last 2-3 months to get an accurate result. A blood test - tTg-IgA test - may result in false negatives and not accurately diagnose Celiac's but another autoimmune disease.
-- Cyrex Array 3 --
⭐ These are the most advanced on the market. They test your immune reactivity to all parts of gluten, gliadin and other parts transglutaminase.
I also recommend the array 2 and 4 tests, which will test for gut permeability and gluten cross reactive foods.
-- Biopsy --
⭐ This test is the most expensive and invasive. Many western doctors, in order to get an “official” Celiac diagnosis, will perform this test. Not all Celiac's will show damage in the biopsy, due to the fact that thr small intestine spans 20 feet long.

Ha ti sem tudjátok, mit csináljátok a karalábéval, akkor próbáljátok ki ezt 😌 100 gramm krumpli, 300 gramm karalábé és annyi víz, hogy bőségesen ellepje (én pótoltam főzés során is, kb. 8 decit használtam fel). Csak sóval ízesítettem. Miután megpuhult, összeturmixoltam. Egy picit hígnak éreztem, ezért rizslisztet szórtam bele, úgy sűrítettem. Ez persze elhagyható, ha kevesebb vizet használtok, vagy többet főzitek. Melegen se rossz, de én hidegen ettem, szezámmaggal és tökmagolajjal. Utóbbi annyira jól megy hozzá, hogy vétek lenne kihagyni, pedig én aztán tényleg nem használok sok olajat 😉 Eseteg tökmaggal is lehet helyettesíteni, de én úgy még nem próbáltam 🙂 #veganfood #vegancommunity #govegan #govegan

Hoy un bowl delicioso para cenar. Lleva hamburguesas veganas, boniatos fritos y judías verdes con una salsa verde de kale, albahaca, aceite, mostaza, limón y pipas de girasol. Las hamburguesas están hechas con cebolla, ajo, champiñones, pipas de girasol (tenía muchas 😂), zanahoria, y avena. La verdad es que estaba todo riquísimo 😋. Qué tengáis un buen final de día!! 🙏😘😘

I spent the whole day packing & getting things done before leaving tomorrow - I actually think that packing is the mooost stressful part of traveling. 🙇🏽♀️ I’m either packing way too much or not enough. 🤫 nonetheless, I’m so excited & can’t wait to be back in Florida! 💛
ingredients for 2 servings/6 waffles:
- 1 cup (sprouted) oats, finely ground
- 1tbsp chia flour
- 1tbsp maple syrup
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1,5-2 cups almond milk
First meal I’ve eaten that isn’t pesto pasta 😂 not even sure what this is but we used a red sweet pepper, green pepper, onion, chickpeas, sweetcorn, mushrooms, tomato purée, chopped tomatoes and put it with some rice 😂
Yeah I’m getting all my food trends messed up here because I should have posted these on pancake Sunday, but in my opinion any day is ideal for a stack of chocolatey pancakes! There’s not really a recipe for these because I just threw ingredients into my blender and hoped for the best without measuring anything lol. But these are made from oat flour, raw cacao, apple sauce, cashew milk, baking powder, apple cider vinegar and date syrup for sweetness. Topped with soy yoghurt, banana, PB, goji berries, blackberries and almonds. Yeah, it was hard not to eat them as soon as they came off the pan, but I had to be patient because stacks made of 3 little pancakes aren’t the most photogenic 🤣

To make one serving of the sauce, gather the following ingredients in a blender: about 1 (anything between 1/2-1 would work) roasted red pepper from a jar (or roasted with oil on your own), 1/4 cup slivered almond, 1 squeezed lemon, 2 tbs nutritional yeast, 1 tbs avocado oil (optional but helps blend), pink Himalayan salt, crushed red pepper to taste. Blend until smooth. .
