Round trip to Garibaldi lake is 18km with 820m elevation gain. It took us about 2,5 hours to get to the main lake. First 6 kilometres are pretty boring, trail goes through the wood, and it is dusty at this time of the year, but it is also a season for a wild blueberry 😋 (I hope all berries we ate there were blueberries😅). However, last 3 km are amazing😍. Starts with a picturesque view point, a mirror Barrier lake and Lesser Garibaldi. While crossing the bridge, there is a river on one side and Garibaldi lake on the other. And here it is, follow the trail another few hundred meters, and you are on the shore of one of the most popular lakes in BC. Next time we go there, we plan to take Panorama Ridge Trail to see this fantastic lake from the top.🙂 #garibaldilake #beautifulbc
birthday weekend... complete disaster, but with a view
Is there a better place on earth to watch the sunset rather than on top of a mountain 😍
Clouds cleared for just this moment...
Also met a couple furry creatures...and Mario mushrooms!
I will admit that I’m not very good with words when it comes to writing long and in depth captions 🤷🏼♀️. But trail building last weekend with an amazing crew and in an as beautiful place as Garibaldi provincial park was an experience at the front of my mind this week. As an avid hiker and BC trail user, it felt good to give back to our parks and keep our trails maintained, for the amount of times those trails have lead us the way to spectacular mountain peaks, lakes and valleys. .
I won’t sugar coat it at all— whenever it wasn’t torrentially downpouring with rain, it was snowing. Heavily. Despite the weather and the near-frost-bitten fingers and wet clothes right through to the base layers, I wouldn’t have traded the experience in for anything else! I learned SO much. Huge shout out to the park rangers at @yourbcparks
- I have a lot of respect for them! Also a shout out to Yogi the bear from Taylor Meadows, and Jorge and Jose, the whistling marmot brothers from Helm Creek cinder flats 🌲🍂 @ilikethewaythislooks @taggio @vaughnwilson4 @berlin2canada @mjscooke #friendsofgaribaldipark #bcmc #parkscanada #bcparks
Name a better view...I'll wait.
VAN LIVING IN THE CITY (DAY 54): All my photos will now be recycled from my trip and will have no relevance to the actual post because nobody wants to see a rainy sidewalk. Yesterday I located two Rec Centres that offer FREE showers, which is amazing considering what I've been paying to shower up until now. This means I can avoid buying a gym membership altogether, because let's be real, I was never going to use the gym for it's actual purpose 🙄. I'm deciding to base myself around Jericho Beach/Spanish banks which seems to be where all the vanlifers hang out. I have a sweet spot where I can back up the Gypsy Wagon and cook right on the beach with a view of the ocean and mountains. It's getting darker earlier which means pre-cooking dinner whilst it's still light. I tried to park downtown last night which was a shit show, I think I'll generally be avoiding downtown core like the plague. Already loving the million events and pop-festivals that are going on in Vancouver, I don't think it's possible to get bored here. .

Looking back at a beautiful summer...now bring on the Fall! 🍁🍂🍃 #fallequinox
Hiking in BC is always a great idea. The blue colour of garibaldi lake makes the view even better. 🗻
Today is the first day of autumn and we're leaving in two days! 🛫
What's your favorite season? 🍁
#garibaldilake #beautifulbc
Waking up at 5:30am was worth it to see the sunrise just above the mountains 🌞
Mother Nature, you have quite the eye for beauty —

The saying goes. See the forest through the trees. I saw the trees through the forest. Each individual tree. Beautifully different from the one standing next to it. Decorated with bright velvety moss. A pattern so intricate there is no beginning and no end. Each branch delicately draped with blowing moss like a beard, a scarf a necklace. Swaying in the breeze, catching each rain drop. A beautiful forest dance. Each tree standing next to each other supporting each other. Stronger together. It is their differences that paint this beautiful picture. I thought what a peaceful representation of humanity. All different, living together not only supporting each other but embracing each other. All different all beautiful. Stronger together. Nature has many lessons. It is time spent in nature that the lessons truly unfold. Silently listening to the wisdom of trees. #nature
