🌈 I love a good rainbow and this simple patchwork quilt was one of my favourite makes in #fussycuttersclub . I love the progression of colour across this quilt as well as the mix of fabrics from my stash.
✂️ This quilt is a great example of how colour can unify different print motifs to make a cohesive quilt.

🤩 I love improvisational fussy cutting - this is where you make your own “fabric” for use in projects by fussy cutting your favourite fabrics to make a bigger piece of fabric. I cover how to do this in my book #fussycuttersclub .
🦊 This is the pillow/cushion project from #fussycutterclub and it’s one of my all time favourite makes. I don’t normally work with this colour palette but I took inspiration from the main owl panel (by @crafty_like_a_fox ) and built my own fabric from there.
✂️ Have you tried improvisational fussy cutting before?
Happy FriYAY! 🎉 I finished my first triangle quilt! 💜 Just in time to send it to a sweet friend who’s baby is due this month! 💌📬 I’m still working on my #lillylapass too, slowly but surely! I’ll post more photos of that soon!! 🏵
My Fussy Cut Sampler quilt top is finished!! I used Insignia in English Cream by Alison Glass for the sashing and additional blocks, it has very subtle motifs that float around here and there so while it reads as a solid it's got pops of print that don't compete with the 48 fussy cut blocks! I admit throughout this quilt along I doubted my limited color pallet, and limited collection choice but now that it's a finished top I love it! #feliegetsfussy#thefussycutsamplerqal2#thefussycutsampler (shout out to my awesome quilt top holders Corey and L)
Layout Time!! I'm going for a random placement of blocks for my Fussy Cut Sampler and what better way to accomplish that, then with the help of my little.. I mean it's so random some of the blocks are upside down. #thefussycutsamplerqal2#feliegetsfussy#cottonandsteel
Signing off.. they all got together for the final block of the Fussy Cut Sampler. Block 48 of 48!!!! It's been a fun challenge cutting into my stash of Cotton and Steel Black and Whites and sticking to my limited color pallet, there were a few blocks, ok let's be real a lot of blocks where I scratched my head a few times trying to think of how I can accomplish this without having too buy more fabric or regretted my decision to stick to a very limited range. I learned much from the sew a long and am super happy with the outcome.. I even snuck in my rainbow. Thanks so much Elizabeth @elisabew for hosting the sew a long, I've loved seeing everyone's come together and can't wait to see some flimsy's! #feliegetsfussy#thefussycutsamplerqal2#cottonandsteel
