POP O’ THE WEEK (wk 42) - Chalk this one up to the old “Oh, that guy’s cool, whoever he is” thing that I do. Maybe you do it too! I’ve never played an Elder Scrolls game. I was turned off RPGs at a young age due to all the turn-based battling, which is a shame because I love games with deep stories. But I always hated just sitting there while I was being attacked, and I still think it would bother me today. Maybe I’ll try Skyrim or something someday, since I know it’s different. Until then, there’s this guy: the Warden.
From the little bit of research I’ve done, Wardens are nature-based mystics who wield frost magic and can call upon the assistance of animals. I just thought this guy looked nifty. I mean, he’s got a bit of blandness to him, but it’s offset by the wisps of frost magic coming from his hand. I also like his natural color-scheme, which suits a nature based character like this.
Apparently the Wardens are defenders of something called “the Green”. It just so happens that I got my Warden Pop in Ireland, the literal Green. I remember that he was on clearance pretty much everywhere back home, but I paid full price for him in Ireland because it just felt right to getting him from there. He’s got a certain Irish flavor to him (at least from the neck down). I do remember looking at Warden Pops a few times at home, but a lot of them had face issues. This one’s pretty good, but even he has these weird lines on his forehead. Most people probably wouldn’t notice them, but I’m picky. 👍🏻 I guess that’s all I can really say about him, since he’s still pretty much an unknown character to me. I like the way he looks, and I like his blue wisps. Sometimes that’s enough. #popotheweek #elderscrolls #morrowind #warden #funko #pop #popvinyl #vinyltoys #funkopop #elderscrollsonline #mystic #traveltoys
