Today’s session CORE & CARDIO (couldn’t film it) - steady 5km run, took me exactly 30 Mins then 100 burpees, (10 every 90 seconds for 10 rounds). Ab circuit, weighted crunches x 15, regular crunches x 10, hanging leg raises x 10, 3 rounds 👍🏽🔥 Then just for the crack I tested myself to see how long I could hold a plank for. Got to 3 Mins before I couldn’t stand it anymore! What you think? Rookie numbers? 😏👍🏽👎🏽? This past weekend was the Alpha Warrior Inter-Service Battle. Representatives from the army, navy, and air force competed in a grueling course to see which branch of the military would come out on top. The course covers 4 acres and has 32 obstacles. The mental strength and team work I witnessed during the competition gave me goosebumps. One of the female competitors from the Navy sprained her ankle during the course run but continued to push forward. When she contemplated quitting, her competitor, a woman on team army, stayed back and told her they were both going to finish together. And by the time she was at her final station, she was surrounded by a crowd cheering her on and members from every branch were at her side doing her final burpees with her. The air force ended up earning the queen mother of all trophies, but every competitor out there was amazing. #alphawarrior #airforce #army #navy
My curried tofu and eggplant has gone down a treat this week! Super simple (the only way for me) dice eggplant and tofu and brown in a pan with curry powder. Then add bhuja mix and extra seeds/sultanas until all nice and toasty. I serve this with Greek yoghurt to give it an extra fresh zing without ruining the delicious charred crunch. So yummy and easy! Cauliflower would also be a welcome addition to this
