❗️No - It’s just a variation.
❓So what’s the difference between the rings and the bar...?
❗️✅ It allows a more neutral position through the shoulder/elbow, most people will be stronger in this position (+ less pain if they lack mobility)
❗️✅ It requires plenty of core control to make sure you don’t turn the rings into a rope swing from one side of the room to the other... (NB. An enjoyable way to spend time once you’ve completed all your strict chin ups)

Something about that triumphant moment resonated with me; it switched on a desire to improve myself and is the catalyst that set off my passion for fitness 💪🏻
I never took up the long jump, but the fundamentals of the sport have always intrigued me. So now, instead of putting it off, I’m finally building the jumping portion into my routine.
I won’t be progressing the broad jump as I have with the other exercises in this series. Rather, I’m looking to improve upon this through good old fashioned trial and error, failing until I succeed in jumping a little further 🙌🏻
From testing this skill and realising how many tiny variables there are to take into account, it’s undeniable to me just how impressive athletes like Rutherford are. Unrivalled in the world - superheroes in their own right!

I LOVE coaching clients who understand it is their duty to apply what they’ve learned. Those are the clients who maximize their efforts and accomplish their goals. They are the ones who work toward mastering the small habits, develop consistency and continuously look for opportunity for growth.
These are not qualities and traits that you stumble into, rather skills that can be developed. I encourage and challenge you to work on those skills if you have not already, because nobody else can do it for you. Your goals are your own, you’re the only one who cares for them.
