If you’re relatively new to weight training, a high frequency Full-Body approach is great for many reasons. For starters, we have plenty of research showing that training a muscle-group more frequently produces more muscle growth than training it once per week when volume is equal.
Secondly, because we’re hyper-sensitive to the stress, we won’t require as much volume as a more advanced trainee (this will allow us to hit our entire body without having to spend hours in the gym hammering each muscle group).
And lastly, the repeated bout effect… it’s been shown that the more frequently we train a muscle-group (to a degree) the more efficient we become at recovering from our training – the faster we can recover, the quicker we’ll experience strength and muscle gains.
If you wish to follow a full-body routine like the one outlined here, it can be scheduled one of two ways:
1. One day on, one day off, repeat (alternating between Workout A and Workout B). _
2. Monday, Wednesday, Friday (also alternating between Workout A and Workout B).

Mountain climbers: hoe maak je die?
• Plaats je handen en voeten op de grond (push-up positie).
• Span je buik- en bilspieren aan. Je rug is hierbij in een neutrale positie.
• Haal vervolgens om de beurt één been naar je handen toe.
• Breng zo om en om je voeten naar voren en weer naar achter, alsof je tegen een berg op rent. .
• Mocht je er snelheid in willen brengen, dan kun je de oefening in een hoger tempo uitvoeren.
• Doe 1-3 sets van 10-25 herhalingen per been.
Tip: heb je geen flowin board, zoals in het filmpje? Als je een gladde vloer hebt, kun je ook je voeten op twee doeken zetten en dan heen en weer glijden.
Mountain climbers zijn een goede bodyweight-oefening. Behalve je benen train je hiermee je buik, rug, core en armen. Omdat je met mountain climbers je hele lichaam traint, past de oefening goed in een warming-up. Je kunt de oefening ook explosief doen, om in korte tijd je hartslag te verhogen. Op deze manier maak je van de mountain climber een goede oefening om vet te verbranden.

Oh man what a workout. I WAS gonna do a leg day. The leg press machine was taken and as soon as one person got off another jumped on. I then see a machine similar to this one unused. I've used it before so went over to set it up.
Well its suppose to have 45 pound plates on the lower rack but somebody took them all leaving just the 100 pound plates. I'm there by myself so yeah I can't move those plates (yet). I looked around and found the 45s about 20 feet away and went for them turning my leg day into a total body workout.
Picture this for a laugh.... A 5 foot short lady carrying a 45 pound plate in each arm. I'm not going to waste my efforts so as I took a step, I'd did a shoulder shrug. Get to the machine, squat and do 5 squats for each weight as I set them on the ground Bar is chest height (lowest setting) for me. I pick up one plate and do 5 ab twist followed by 5 chest presses. Repeat with the other. Now I have to go back for 2 more 45 pound plates SO I do lounges back to the rack and repeat the shrugs, squats, presses, and ab twists. Finally I get onto the machine to do my leg presses. Yep that was just one set. I went back for 2 10 pound plates and repeated everything. Followed by getting 2 more 10 pounders for my final set. After I was done, I returned the 4 10 pounders but put the 45s back on the machines rack but still did some squats, chest presses, and ab twists as I did it.
Yeah people watching me must have thought I was crazy. I could have used 2 100 ponders but there is no way I could get those onto the chest height bar safely by myself. I was exhausted after all that but still continued with the rest of my leg day.
I'm gonna feel this in the morning but it was a GREAT workout and I feel so accomplished. I think I'm gonna add this in to my workout routine.
