Ruby bark 🐕 I almost fell off but stayed focused 😅 Yoga teaches us to go within and listen to our breath. When you practice yoga, you are forced to shut the world around you for a few minutes and go within. That’s the beauty of yoga. Once we learn this, you can take it with you everywhere. It’s not easy teaching this to someone, but you can always be an example. Show your light and you will spread peace to one person at a time.💫💕☀️
Feeling stuck or acknowledging progress, two sides of the same coin?
1. When I was given pincha I would hop, jump, leap wildly and try desperately to find the balance before falling into a back bend --- now I can lift with control and I'm confident I will balance.
2. Getting lotus while in pincha, overcoming the fear of trying was the biggest hurdle, I don't have a teacher so it's easy to left the fear prevent even trying, hell I need my knees! It's amazing how quick the legs can come out of lotus when you are about to crash! --- now I can get lotus.
3. Maintaining the activation in the shoulders when lowering lotus to 90° - this required a focus on the present millisecond and not thinking about the full posture.
4. Maintaining this awareness while lowering to the point I practically faceplate my mat and holding again, acknowledging my shoulders have gone and I need protraction to facilitate any hope of lifting the karandavasana which I can now land.
I'm not practicing at the minute just working on my narrative, the story I tell myself. It's refreshing to change the -I'm stuck to wow look at the progress.!! .

Happy Friday everyday this week felt like a bad Monday happening over and over again I’m ready for a reset.
I lost my shit today.
Lost it on my 12 year old.
He broke a rule, and I lost it.
I way over overreacted.
I was boiling inside.
Completely overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions.
I couldn't sort it out.
I wanted to run away.
Give myself some space.
I wanted to give up.
Lay on the floor and give the f#&k up.
Instead, I screamed.
I mean I REALLY screamed.
It was one of those screams that you wish you could take back even while you're doing it. (Is that just me??)
But, also, I wanted to scream louder.
So much louder.
I wanted it to be like a shockwave.
A magical shockwave that fixed everything.
Everyone understands everyone.
Everyone is happy.
It only made things worse.
We've made our apologies now.
Had our hugs and snuggles.
Spoke calmly and heard each other.
But still I feel terrible about my behavior.
I feel terrible that my emotions bested me.
I feel terrible that I felt myself getting angrier and didn't stop to take a breath (or fifty).
I feel terrible that I made things worse.
And that's it.
Mom guilt, I guess.
I wish I could redo today.
Wipe it from everyone's memory.
Start all over.
But I can't.
Tomorrow will be better, though.
I'll be better.

Its a long weekend for us in Canada, but I get to spend it studying for my exam (sad face)
But! I am also very excited to start my new online fitness program on Monday with the most awesome group of ladies! 💞🌺 Its a 6 week challange of high intensity workouts that are only 20 minutes a day!
The thing I love the most about this program is the amazing support system that comes with it. You are connected with a group a lovely ladies who are doing the same program with you, supporting each other and keeping everyone accountable!!
I'm so excited to see how this little step will kick my butt every day and get me back to a level of fitness that I haven't seen since my Crossfit days
And yes I've already figured out how to do all the yoga with it✌ And yes this pincha for #forearmfriday
