Threw a bunch of leftovers together, put some grilled chicken on it after, and lunch was ready! Today I was not feeling well at all- took multiple naps and drank all the tea! Hoping to fight off this cold 🤧 I heard garlic is supposed to help so I doused this with garlic salt after 🤷♀️ we’ll see. Anyways, lentils, roasted sweet potatoes, beets, broccoli, avocado, spinach, grilled chicken, sourdough bread, and olive oil drizzle #nourishbowl #eatingdisorderrecovery #foodismedicine #buddhabowl #lunch
I'm still on that "meals to go" thing. Maybe it's mental maybe it's real, but I feel more satisfied by the meals I prepare at home, even when they are as simple as #hummus #beets

You know what IS real? The money I save 💣 BOOM 😎 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
All jokes side, I remember how deeply intense my dependency on food use to be. My whole day spent measuring, counting, weighing, contemplating how physical I would be and then making sure I wasn't eating more than my caloric output, trying to figure out if I was eating "properly". I was obsessed. Obsessed also with making sure I didn't enjoy food too much or that I didn't let myself off lightly if I "fell off" my plan. Uffff. It was exhausting, painful, maddening, and just plain awful. Truth is you can't hate yourself into a loving place. If you struggle with eating habits I get it. Truly! Just know it doesn't have to be that way. It took A LOT of effort; self talks, mantras, notes, standing in the mirror, changing specific eating habits, listening to my bodies cues, learning about intuitive eating, learning about the thousands of diets out there & why they do or don't work! But let me simplify this without demeaning the severity of disordered eating. You have to eat wholesome foods, foods that are high in nutrients, foods that make you happy, foods that fill you up... mind, body, and spirit. Food is love. Food is how you love your body. Food can heal you or harm you. FOOD is hear to support you, fuel you, and to celebrate every opportunity/blessing to fill your belly. #treatyoself

〰️ SuperFood Snack Preppin’ 〰️ Our favorite way to nourish our bodies with high-vibe snacks, satisfy that “crunch,” AND use up all our produce before we go out of town! 🤙🏽 Ahhhh @excaliburdehydrator
, I love you so! 💚 Did you know you can make the best “nacho cheese” with soaked sunflower seeds (or cashews), 1 red bell pepper, 1/2 yellow onion, garlic, sea salt & a dash of turmeric?! We prefer dehydrating, but you can easily oven bake! 🌱 If you’re a snacker, but try to stay away from processed foods, invest in a dehydrator! 🌱 You don’t have to break the bank & I have plenty of recommendations under $100 when searching for the right one! 🌱 Get yo healthy snack on during the holidays! #PlantBased #Healing #HealthySnacks #LivingFood #NamasteHolisticHealth

Here is a little math for you and if I am being completely honest here …. I’ve always hated math ….. but this equation is one that cannot be denied.
Efforts + Every Day = Results
Whether you apply this equation to your business or your health, I know this to be true …. you are where you are because of your efforts.
If you have a successful business and you are in a good place with your health then keep doing whatever it is that you are currently doing. Kudos to you!
However, if you are not where you want to be in your business or you are not satisfied with your health, then you need to increase your efforts …. every - single - day!
The New Year is right around the corner and we will all be bombarded with messages of “Get Healthy in 30 Days”, “Lose Weight With A 7-Day Detox”, “Make a 6-Figure Income in 90 Days”, “I’ve Got the Secret To Instant Wealth” and so on. In a world that is in love with instant gratification, sadly these marketing ploys work with a lot of people.
Often times we will see, in our Facebook feed and in the news, people who seem to have experienced dramatic achievement, in their health or in their business, with minimal effort. Whether it’s quick-fix diets or overnight success businesses.
I’m here to tell you that the quick-fix programs don’t work. If you want better results in your business you need to put the effort in every single day. If you want better results with your health then you need to put the effort in every single day. All of your efforts matter and there is value and great reward in working hard for something. It really is that simple.
What you get out of life is a direct reflection of the effort you put in.
Almost every person that has a horse, also has a dog... they just go so well hand in hand in this lifestyle
The question we often get is:
Can I feed my dog the stuff I get for my horses? Or vice versa...
It depends! Most of our products absolutely cross over. Since all our products are pure + 1 ingredient only, we don't have to worry about harmful additives or preservatives.
However, we do have a couple remedies, like the Joint + Muscle or our digestive mix, and those have been formulated with species specific formulations.
One ingredient might be okay to be scaled down directly, but hen the other ingredients might be skewed.
Our motto, first do no harm, means that is hard to overdose on most of our ingredients, but we also believe in the 'better safe than sorry' mantra!

My wild rose body oil is now sold out! Wild rose is one of my favourite plants to work with; I’m looking forward to harvesting them this coming spring/summer, and crafting them into new products (and munching on a few along the way)! 🌸
As soon as I get run down or even the slightest bit dehydrated, my system starts screaming for Greens 🥬🥦🥒
I have been learning to balance my hormones over this journey with @changinghabits_hq
and the payoff is in the lifestyle we now have, where all the socials happens and we can indulge guilt-free, knowing that the richness of functionally fuelling our bodies through real food will aid that recovery process immensely.
Grateful for all these new tools! 🙏🏽

➳ “I strongly believe that food is medicine and that it should be not an afterthought in medicine but the foundation of medical practice... Did you know that up to 90% of Americans are not getting enough of the nutrients that are critical for healthy functioning, and that more than that are probably low if you look not just at what’s needed to prevent some deficiency disease, but what’s needed for optimal health.” | @drmarkhyman
dropping all of the knowledge bombs. This is my third free series with him and they’ve all been awesome. Moral of the post - take all the free education you can get, especially when it comes to health and wellness. Do the research. Working WITH your doctors has so much more benefit than just sitting on the sidelines of your health.
Do you like oriental food? This is a savory😋 Japanese pancake🥞 called okonomiaki. It is made with scallions, kale, jalapeno pepper️🌶️, green and red cabbages, summer squash, and carrots🥕. The dipping sauce was made with grated ginger and garlic, soy sauce, white balsamic vinegar, red chili pepper🌶️ flakes, and toasted sesame seeds. To the pancake🥞 recipe I added some garbanzo bean flour for protein... .
This is a great way to clear out vegetables from your refrigerator. If you would like to make this version of okonomiaki, my recipe is below 👇...
👉 RECIPE FOR OKONOMIAKI (makes 3 large pancakes🥞):
1. 5 cups of 1-2" vegetable matchsticks including cabbage and green onions as the base. Cut the whites of the green onion in half lengthwise
2. 2 thinly sliced jalapeno peppers🌶️ (optional)
3. 3/4 cup garbanzo bean flour*
4. 3/4 cup all purpose flour*
5. 1 tsp Himalayan salt
6. 1 egg + water for 1 1/2 cups liquid
7. Vegetable oil (I used coconut)
8. Measure dry ingredients and combine together well
9. In a large bowl, add all chopped vegetables. Toss with the dry ingredients
10. Mix well the egg and water. Add to the bowl and mix together well with the vegetables and flours
11. In a large 9" nonstick hot pan over medium to high heat, add 2 Tbsp of oil. Add the vegetable mixture to form a thin vegetable pancake🥞. Cook about 3 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip the pancake🥞. I transferred to a plate, added 1 Tbsp oil to the pan, and slid it back on the pan. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crisp
12. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
*you may substitue the flour in this recipe if you like

After 4 years of going vegan I want to celebra my vegananniversary expressing my gratefulness to the people who has inspired me and taught me so much of plant based diet.
I can say that I am a healthier, happier and cruelty free version of myself today than I was years ago!
Thanks to the vegetables, fruits, grains and greens that have brought life within me ☺️
Dear vegan friends: Do not get discouraged by people who criticised, question or disagree with your way of living.
Also dear vegan friends, let’s stand up for tolerance towards our brothers and sisters. Who’s transitioning to vegan, learning about plant based diet, trying to get rid of old eating patterns!
The journey is very different for everyone, let’s acknowledge it.
Also a call for the vegan community for tolerance among us: plant base diet, cruelty free, grain eaters, raw food diet....
We all stand for the same principles:
•For a more sustainable planet
•End of unnecessary animal suffering •Healthier bodies & healthier minds
•Re-education of diet-end of old dieting patterns
Can you provide any more awesome reasons?
Last big thanks to NONI fruits. Noni healed my acne from inside and kill so many pathogens that we’re making me sick🙏
Three pepper chicken and snow pea shoots with garlic. Michelin-starred Szechuan food!!! Everything we ordered today was flavorful and delicious. The snow pea shoots makes me wanna be vegan again. Highly recommended!
Need a mid holiday reset? Dab some essential oils, go do some yoga and find your nearest acupuncturist! You’ll feel on cloud 9 right after. #endorphins
Yup. This is me back in 1988. I had big glasses, an even bigger smile, and I loved cows. In just a few years I’d be having joint pain and start having a hard time in school. But, in the 80’s I was just your regular kid who loved to be outside. I’d already been prescribed antibiotics 10 times, consumed fluoride daily, was fully vaccinated, eating a standard American diet, and starting to feel the pressure of school, sports, and music. •
Sometimes when people ask me “When did you get sick?” I don’t know how to explain it. I can tell them that “I never felt well since my miscarriage.” Yet, that doesn’t explain the complexity of illness. It doesn’t explain my genetics, my upbringing, my constitution, my lifestyle, every bug bite I’ve ever gotten, and virus/bacteria/mold/parasite I’ve ever been exposed to. It doesn’t explain those early years when I started to notice inflammation in my knees or anxiety creeping in. There are so many factors involved in disease that make healing incredibly complicated for Western allopathic medicine. Chronic illness is not the same as breaking a bone, setting it, and seeing the patient again in 6 weeks. Real healing takes the finely honed skill of a well trained physician. It takes the ability to gather all of the pieces of your intricate puzzle and finding a way to achieve balance.
Doctor Thom has an excellent presentation that describes the involvement of childhood experiences in chronic illness I’ll post at our Link in Bio for you to watch anytime.
Fish sandwich with coleslaw, poppy seed challah, and arugula salad - the fish is a combo of wonderfully flaky and blackened and amazing. I would eat it at every meal if I could.
