Tonight's training was primarily snatch Focus. Basically working on stamina for Speed under the bar. Also threw in a 250 M row. Basically a lot of high rep low weight movement.
Yesterday block of trainings been rough. I'm not entirely sure what's going on. I think some of it has to do with just recovery again. That seems to be my come and go to excuse whenever I'm having issues. But in this case I think it's a bit more than that excuse. I think it's probably an explanation. I've had that run down feeling. I must be fighting off something. Most likely have picked up something viral at work.
One of the signs that I utilize when I know my recovery is an appropriate as I have a tendency to pick up weird things from work. However I just continue to push through it, I should be okay. Just give me a couple of days.
One thing I am extremely proud of is my power output has been increasing over the past couple weeks. This is the primary measure s to the efficacy of my training program. If my power output continues to go up, then that means that I'm hitting not only cardiovascular and muscular strength, but also cardiovascular and muscular endurance.
So as for now, I'm going to go and eat my post workout meal and get some rest. Can't keep complaining about my lack of recovery if I don't never give myself the opportunity to recover. So I need to really start focusing on practicing what I preach.
Day 9: Faster. It’s amazing the difference a week makes with coordination and confidence! I beat my transformers yesterday, no problem but today, notsomuch! I can say my workout today was much better effort/results than last Tuesday when I was overwhelmed. So next week I work on beating those transformers!! I didn't want to workout today. The family celebrated my grandson's 4th birthday today. Didn't get home til about 9:30pm. I had decided to skip today and make it up on Sunday my rest day. My accountability partner said really, it's only 20 minutes. So guess what I did? Got this butt on up and worked out and I'm so glad I did. #accountability#accountabilitypartner#inittowinit
