PWR program. The most rewarding feeling for me has been upping my weights, because when I started BBG Stronger a year ago I could barely complete my rounds with 5 pounders. Progress isnt quick, but it is SO rewarding 🙌

I saw a blind woman in the gym today. Her friend was walking her around and setting her up so she could hit all the machines in her workout. She did her thing and didn’t let it stop her, gave zero f*cks.
That’s the kind of story that inspires me to keep going everyday. Watching people get in there to better themselves and challenge their bodies is so beautiful to me. Its seeing self love in action.

Things I've learned :
- If you want something bad enough you can do anything. - "Motivation" and getting hyped about something is great but having Discipline is what will carry you through when you are in hard times. - Focus on strength and the physique will come. Progressive fucking Overload. - Focus on the Big Compound Lifts and don't spend too much time on isolation exercises.
- Listen to your body, if you're burnt the fuck out, or have a nagging pain, then rest. Better to take a day or two off than to get injured. - Never give up! There are times when it feels like zero progress is being made but just keep pushing through. - Learn as much as you can. There are so many ways to optimize training, and min/max your gains. Makes it a lot more fun to try new methods and concepts.

Looking back on old college pictures of me I can’t help but reflect on all of the changes I have made in my life. Exactly four years ago I took the picture on the left with a group of friends as a freshman in college. I was uncomfortable but I thought “I’m in college now this is what college kids do”. Most weekends I’d go out and wake up feeling horrible the next morning. I would eat crappy food to beat the hangover and then get ready for the next week of classes until I could do it all again. .
Flash forward to the picture on the right which is about a month ago. I graduated college and moved 10 hours away from home. I am happier and healthier both physically and mentally than I have ever been and I am building a life for myself that I am going to be damn proud of. .
In four years I don’t want to look back on any picture from now and think “what the hell was I doing”. I’m on a mission to build my best life. It’s up to me.

The number in attendance is irrelevant in comparison to God’s ABUNDANT and POWERFUL presence throughout the weekend. he promises where two or more are gathered in His name... WELL! When you’ve got over 1600 women from all places of faith ... from unsure but leaning in to full on crazy for Jesus and completely surrendered to His presence 🙋♀️... you can FEEL Him move. Truly no words can describe... However, I wish I could give that feeling to every women I meet. For her to know she is LOVED and CHOSEN by a God that told the ocean where to stop and tells the wind where to move and yet cares SO much about her details and if she would simply lean in He would direct Her steps, wrap His arms around her and say - I’ve got you and I’ve got “this”
“This” doesn’t always look like what we want in the moment of look how we expected. But trust that for those that believe in Him and seek Him there is always a “meanwhile” God is working and using this for your greater good. The process is YOUR process that you must go through in order to be able to carry the promise He gave you ♥️
And back to pics (but someone needed to hear that) I’m crazy grateful to serve OUR women along side these amazing ladies AND my daughter Jaelyn (technically step so this was her first event♥️🙏🙌) AND MANY more exceptionally kind women🤗 💕

Having a positive mindset isn't easy, especially when you have trained yourself to have a negative outlook on things.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm not a naturally positive person. For me, it takes work and daily intention. A huge factor in that is who I allow to have space inside of my head. It's so easy to get caught up in negative conversations or a negative thinking spiral. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What consumes your mind controls your life. If you are consumed by negative thoughts, you will manifest negative behaviors and outcomes. If you are consumed by positive thoughts, you will grow in abundance of positive actions and outcomes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do you start to make that change? I have found that gratitude can make all the difference. When a situation is not the greatest, look for anything to be grateful for...even if it is that you woke up that morning and have the opportunity to live another day. Seeds of gratitude can reap harvests of hope. Hope turns into positive thinking. Positive thinking leads to positive outcomes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It takes effort and intention. You have to practice thought stopping, or interrupting your negative thoughts and literally telling them to stop. With practice and being intentionally grateful, you will begin to see how much beauty actually surrounds you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
