For starters many take wrong approach when they start a training split and doing the wrong approach can really the limit the amount of muscle you can build. Many people will start the typical"Bro Split". Where they only train body parts once in a week, they only train for pump and they way do more isolation exercises than compound lifts. _ If you're doing these things just know that you are really limiting your muscle growing potential. To build more muscle and get stronger, change it up for your benefit. Instead of training body parts once in a week start training them 2-3x per week and train for strength and hypertrophy. Focusing only on the pump isn't make you strong over the time but adding reps and weights to your lift makes you stronger over time. Lastly make 80% of your lift comes from compound exercises. More muscles will we worked on them, causing you to unintentionally make more gains than you with isolation lifts. . What's your training split? Let me know in the comment box. . You don’t have to have it “all figured out”. Not now, not ever. - I definitely don’t have it figured out. Sometimes I get down on myself because I can’t seem to move forward as fast as I would like to. - It’s too funny because sometimes we can’t take our own advice and being a coach makes me no different - As I coach my clients online and offline I find that they too struggle with this. They want more and they want it to now. If each day isn’t a new personal record, some view it as a failure. Well let me be the first to tell you, that kind of perfect standard for yourself is going to suck all of the energy out of you and kill you slowly. It’s a toxic mentality and it’s unacceptable to allow yourself to succumb to such a low standard because that’s what it truly is - Setting the bar at perfect is not the high standard it seems to be. In reality it is a mirage and we dangle it in front of our faces like a popsicle in the middle of the desert - Try holding yourself to a new standard of Grace and trust in yourself to have an ear to listen and a heart to learn - Whatever you’re chasing in the future, I’m sure it’s worth it but never is it worth it at the cost of your current Joy - DM me if you just need someone to talk to and feel alone because you’re never alone my friend! Three years ago today we lost this boy and I’m still not over it. He was the most hilarious (and destructive) dog, but he added so much life to our family. I sure hope there are dogs in heaven because I sure would love to see this guy again. ❤️

I personally feel that In order to win you need to lose. Yes lose or fail. If you don’t, there is nothing to learn from. Honestly the last time I checked there’s not one single person in this world that is perfect. Come with me and read what I mean with that on my experience in my first time ever being on stage at the OCB Cajun Classic for Novice/Open Bikini Competition. Those of you who know me, know that I used to be super self-conscious and at a certain point in my life had low self-esteem, taking me at least 2 hours just to pick one outfit that I felt pretty and comfortable in . I used to be super skinny with no curbs no nothing. And as I got older I finally started liking the way I looked and became more confident with myself. Then I gained weight and ooo goshh I always felt that I couldn’t get it right. And then PUMM I competed in my very first Competition. And not just any competition but a Bikini competition where I have to be super confident about my body because that’s what I’m being judged for ! I was excited , nervous, anxious, bubbly-you name it! But I did it I was able to step on stage! My "Dream" Goal: Become a PRO. My "Reality" goal: Place top 3. So my day starts and I worry about the food that I ate the day before , I glance at my abs every 5 minutes, I knock out some poses every time I have a mirror in front of me , and before you know it’s my turn to get a little pumped-up & step on stage. I go to where everyone is applying the tanner touch-ups, glaze, and bikini bite and I stand there super happy because this is finally happening! "Novice Class B ! You’re up next...LINE UP!!" OMG its time...okay...you got this. I’m the first one from my class to come out as everyone follows and then we hit our front pose. Good. "Contestants face the rear of the stage” And I already I screwed up because I turned to fast and did not even mark the steps correctly. I just kept turning…no laughing...no shaking the head..same smile..same demeanor.. As I kept going through my poses I felt better more confident and determined and continued like nothing happened! Than the judges said thank you and just like that Prejudging was over & then I To be Continued..

This one goes out to all my coaches, trainers, and anyone helping people and trying to make a living. ⠀ When I first started training at golds gym I was there day and night. I learned very early on, if I ain’t there, no one can see you. And if no one can see you, how do they know you care. So I made sure I was seen. ⠀ Everyone at the gym knew me. I made sure of it. I said hi to every single person, and I built relationships that I still have to this day. I met some of my best friends there, and even met my wife @paulabphoto in the gym. Yes I was her trainer. But that’s a story for another day 😉😂 ⠀ I worked everyday in the gym, 7 days a week. I’d get in at 6am and stay all day until close most nights. And then I would go work the door at a local bar until 2 in the morning. ⠀ At the gym, I wanted to do everything. I cleaned the bathrooms. I fixed equipment. I picked up the gym floor. I covered shifts for any and everyone. I checked members in with a smile. I helped in any way that I could. ⠀ You might think none of these things matter when it comes to building your business. Well guess what. They do. Showing that you care is the ONLY thing that matters. You need to care about everything you do. ⠀ The point of this story is that you need to really care. You need to care unconditionally. And want to help people without expectation. ⠀ The reason I’m telling you this is because I believe in you. And I know you can be successful. ⠀ I’ve been at this for 16 years. I’ve seen a lot of people do things a lot of different ways. But they all had one thing in common: ⠀ They cared. And they showed it. ⠀ Show people you care about them. That you want to help them. Unconditionally without expecting a thing in return. Teaser is such a challenging exercise! I decided to work on my Teaser on the Wunda Chair after having a Private lesson on Friday which highlighted that me Teaser needed some work! I used 1 spring on the bottom so I didn’t haven’t fight against the chair as much to lower the pedal down, and I could focus on my lower abdominals which were having a hard time coming to the party on Friday! This way, I was also forced to create my own opposing forces and it forced me to lengthen out of my hips rather that grip which is something I need to always keep an eye on with “special hip”. Add some muscle building activities to your workouts. And don’t be afraid of adding weight if you feel something is too light. However it is key to keep good form!. 💪🏼 Free weights, resistance bands, and weight machines are great to incorporate. The cardio machines have their place, but shouldn’t monopolize your workouts. 💪🏼 Even a structured body weight routine using push-ups, planks, squats, and lunges can improve muscular strength and definition. 💪🏼 The weights I use at home are my PowerBlock Dumbbells. They are super easy to change weight and don’t take up a lot of space.
