Don't get too fat though! If your 6-pack becomes a 4-pack, your bulk is over.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For fat loss, it's simple. Eat to lose fat. Train to build muscle. Day 2 has been a success. Stayed on track with my food. Breakfast: coffee with collagen, eggs, cheese, and turkey Italian sausage. Lunch: spaghetti squash 😋. Dinner: turkey burgers, feta salad, fried haloumi. Snack: pumpkin seeds, berry hydrator. Now I have to get to my workout. Pretty excited for future results. 2 days in and it's looking like the scale wants to be friends, but I ain't gonna go there lol. || Setbacks & Comebacks || ••• yesterday’s MUA (manipulation under anesthesia) was a bit harder on my body than I had anticipated. It took me a good 24 hours to get out of the anesthesia funk, and today my knee is swollen and sore. It feels like a setback, and in a way, it is. With swelling comes limping and less ROM than I had when I walked in. With soreness comes hesitation in stretching and PT exercises. But, in the long run, this setback will help aid in my comeback. I have faith that before I know it, I will be back to kicking the soccer ball around, running in more races and climbing more mountains. I guess I reached the famous training plateau on my abs. That's when you are no longer progressing in your workouts. Base on some research I did, I can do these 3 steps to burst my way out of the plateau fase. ° 1. I will be more consistent in trying to sleep 8hrs a day. ° 2. I will be lifting heavier weights for fewer reps and using longer rest periods. ° 3. I will now add "Superset" in my routine which it's when you combine two exercises either for the same muscle group or opposing muscle groups and you perform two exercises one right after another with no rest in between. ° That's what I will focus on for the core workouts. Hopefully I'll get better results.💪
Yes we will have those days that we don't want to workout or be active, but we have to push foward and think why we started in the first place and look how far we've gone. ° I want to lead my son by example to always stay active. Studies shows that physically inactive people can lose as much as 3 to 5 percent of their muscle mass each decade after age 30 but If you remain active throughout those decades, your metabolism slows only about .03 % which is an awesome statistics. That's more motivation to stay active as we get older. ° Stay active my friends ❤🏃‍♀️
Once you've created a habit of staying active and motivating yourself, from there on it will be part of your lifestyle. ° Here are the 6 steps that I use to motivate myself. ° 1. Make a list of why you want to lose weight. Why do you want to be healthier? Include all your fears or any past experience. Put the list next to your goals where you can see it everyday. This will be a reference point for your motivation to remind you that you dont want to go back to that lifestyle. ° 2. Prioritize your health, that way you will be more driven towards your goals and have a healthier lifestyle. 3. Do it for yourself. It's much harder to give up on yourself than to give up on others. ° 4. Set small and achievable goals to encourage you to keep going. Like lose 2 pounds in two weeks. ° 5. Cut toxic people out of your life. Remember there will be people that dont want you to see you succeed or not want you to lose weight, for what ever reason they do not have the best interest in their hearts and they will do more harm than good. ° 6. When ever you feel comfortable tell the world how your life has change. Share pictures of your transformations, you deserve to celebrate it with others. °
Today is my cheat day. Hello Sushi, hello wine!🤣 ° Got to love the reward for our hard work of exercising and eating 80–90 percent of the time nutritious foods filled with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats, which allows a more relaxed approach to our 10–20 percent of our meal of choice. 🙌❤
We sometimes forget to focus on us. We need to find time to close our eyes and focus on our breathing to take time to reflect on whatever is bothering us. ° Now imagine yourself blowing it all in several bubbles. All that pain that someone caused, all the anger you feel or maybe all the anxiety or stress, what ever concerns you have. Just imagine it's going all in those bubbles and it's now floating away until you can't see then anymore. ° I always say forgive even if they haven't forgave you and just let it go. Dont waste your time thinking about things you can't control. Leave it all in God's hand and you will feel inner peace. ❤

What a journey! Those 3 month was very hard in every aspect. At the beginning I cried because my body was so weak after a year and a half of C-section that I couldn't complete some exercises that I normally could do and that frustrated me a lot. I pushed myself too hard that I couldn't walk, sit or lay down for 3 days.🤣 ° But it doesn't stop there, I had the brilliant idea to stop exercising for 6 days in row on my vacation at TN. In those six days I ate what ever I desired, thinking "F#$k it! I'm on vacation!😎" which was the worst idea ever! 🤦‍♀️ I gained 2 pounds ! 🤣 Oh, but those brilliant ideas don't end there, I had those days where I decided to move the time to exercise a little later than usual and then I ended up not doing it. Procrastinatooooor! 😂 Or how about when I forgot to drink my protein shake after a good workout session. That's me! 🙋‍♀️ ° In reality, it was also a mental challenge to stay consistent. I don't mind admitting I made many mistakes in those 3 month but that's part of my journey, Im not perfect and with those failures I learned a lot about myself, I made a few changes and now I'm growing from inside out stronger than ever. I can finally say I love who I'm becoming. Those rough 3 month gave my confidence back, it boosted my energy and my self-esteem like I never felt in my life. I love having a healthy lifestyle knowing I can teach my son this great habit and would love to help others out, especially all the mommies out there. 💪❤ @fitjasmines

I feel your pain but understand that you can’t control what happens around you, but you can manage your reaction towards it. ° Take some deep breaths. Yes, breath in and breath out. 🧘‍♀️ ° Now, redefine the situation by trying to find the positive part in what happened. It's okay to feel angry, but accept what you’re feeling in the present moment and then move on to the next moment. Try not to think about it and let it go. Try to find humor in it and if you can, listen to your favorite music to enlighten your day. 🎵😄❤
Ever felt you don't have enough time but in your spare time you quickly grab your phone to use FB, Twitter, YouTube or Netflix? I know I do it! 🙋‍♀️ ° Time management is no joke. I had to evaluate where my spare time was being productive and being wasted. I had to schedule everything in a way to still be productive but had my spare time to do what ever I wanted. I had to teach myself to not pay attention at my phone when I was in the process of completing a task. ° I found the right time to exercise where my son will join and have fun or he finds ways to entertain himself. All mommies know how hard it is to workout with your little one but today was a productive day. 🤣
Have you ever felt sluggish for several days? That's me in this week. 🙋‍♀️ Especially when I found out that my friend's father passed away and he didn't got a chance to say good bye. That just broke my heart and added more towards that sluggishness feeling. I decided to change my rest day on this week to Monday and Wednesday. On Thursday I felt that I wanted to add another rest day in this week but I couldn't afford another rest day because my body wasn't tired, it was my mind that was tired of thinking lots of stuff. I know that extra rest day will keep making it harder for the next day to start . ° I decided to do something different. Everytime I thought of things that kept me busy from working out, I would immediately start to not think about it by focusing on myself on preparing everything that I need to workout. I now understand Nike commercial "Just Do It!". I just did it 🤣. I put on some gym clothes, packed my bag, drove towards the gym and I finished leg day. Afterwards, I felt a lot better than before. I felt a lot more relaxed, it's like my anxiety was released at the gym. I even went out for a walk with my family and had a blast. ° That is one of the reasons why I continue working out. It's a proven fact that working out helps balance hormones, besides that, you are only focusing in the moment by breathing on each rep, creating that muscles mind connection while engaging on those muscles and focusing on your posture. That is one of the reasons why working out helps detach all the problems, anxiety or worries that keeps pulling me down. ° Also, I keep reminding myself that even in our toughest time I still have to get up and just do it. Have faith that God has control of my life and everything will be okay. Always thank God for what I have including my family and friends and praise God even in my toughest time, everything will eventually fall in place. Stay Active My Friends! 🏃‍♀️💪❤
Sometimes I just don't want to do anything but watch TV, especially when PMS hits. That's when I struggle the most! That's when I'm vulnerable to eat a lot, especially chocolate or ice cream 🤣. . It's also when I have to continue pushing towards those days of lack of motivation and shift my mindset. To be honest, in those days I sometimes change my rest day no more than 2 days in a row or I obligate myself to begin working out, but once I start, I commit on working at the best that I can and then I feel good that I completed it. It makes my day happier.😎💪 . Consistency is the key. 🏃‍♀️👍😎
