WINTER DIPS. Perth giving us some beautiful weather over the weekend.
I got in my first winter swim since having Maddie 9 weeks ago. How I’ve missed the ice cold water taking my breath away.
I’ve been working with coach @_clairehargreaves
from the @themethodnow
for 6 weeks now. It’s had its ups and downs like all new processes. But it has been so much more then what I had expected. My focus has changed from summer ready (guilty 😂) to having the energy to be a mum, run a business, keep my milk supply up, getting back into some training and to just be happy. Granted I still want my abs, @_clairehargreaves
is teaching me patience, my body spent 9 months going outwards it’s going to take time to go back in 😂🤣😉 so excited to see what the next 6 weeks will bring

I can’t believe this little jelly bean is now four - you forget so many details like how chubby his little legs were, how big and blue his eyes were and how beautifully cheeky he was from the moment he arrived. 😍😍 .
This photo captured a moment of laughter and a smile but holy hell was I struggling underneath. This little guy was only 6 months old - I had no idea how to be a mother, had no idea why he cried so much and seemed so miserable for so long, I felt so alone, I struggled with such awful shaking anxiety which I tried harder and harder to hide, I felt totally removed from my life as though I was watching down over it so unsure of what I was doing. Being my first - I had no idea I was struggling with Post Natal Depression and that’s why I couldn’t find my groove as a mummy bear. It took 11 months to diagnose 💔💔 .
Post Natal Depression can bite my arse - it robs you of those precious newborn moments, it drains your soul and it leaves you feeling totally inadequate. 🖕🏼🖕🏼 take a hike PND! 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼 .
Our mummies who experience this need so much TLC and support from loved ones and our society. ♥️♥️♥️ .

My usual yoga environment involves this little bad ass weaving her way through my shapes, touching my face, loudly communicating with herself.. distracting the hell out of me to say the least.
And admittedly my practice isn’t nearly as consistent as I’d like, but a theme I’ve recently been visiting is ‘Perfectionism’ and why I tend to bail completely on starting a practice just because the conditions aren’t ‘perfect’. This morning was short, it didn’t inspire me a whole lot, but I did invest 40minutes into honouring my mind and my body with a little play and a lot of breath and I feel one step closer to being less of a maniac because of it.
If you to notice yourself hindered by perfectionism see if you can be brave enough to offer yourself the true freedom to make mistakes, Life isn’t suppose to be a perfectly choreographed routine sometimes it looks like a f-ing nightmare. And I’m learning to be OK with that 🧘🏽♀️

No reason to buy expensive almond meal! Just blitz some up yourself in two seconds with a Magic Bullet! I just buy this big bag from Aldi and divide up portions in a ziplock to freeze! Did you know Nuts go rancid pretty quickly?! So I tend to freeze all my bags of nuts, primal nut blends(for morning porridge) and nut meals for when I use them. Of course I’ll keep a stash of fresh nuts in the pantry for munching on, that I know will be eaten quickly. I pretty much always use almond meal as a flour replacement for all my cooking/baking. Tastes amazing, much more filling, and far less inflammatory as using regular wheat flour! Today I’ll be making some Primal Banana bread with this almond meal! 🙌🏻#almonds #baking
