• I’m thankful for a mom who, from my earliest memories, taught us the importance of health & fitness by her own example
• I’m thankful for a mom who was disciplined enough to set aside time six days a week to work out, while still taking care of little kids & keeping up with everything else on her plate
• I’m thankful for a mom who pushed me to work out with her even when I wanted to be lazy
• I’m thankful for a mom who could do my preseason workouts with me when I played soccer in college (!!)
• I’m thankful Kai now has that same lady for a grandma & she is still setting that example for him. (in fact she’s at the gym right now, even though she’s had a long day of work & it’s getting late!)
I’m thankful for the good example she set for me of a good example to set for my kids. .
What example do your kids see when it comes to your health? Do you use good time management by scheduling in a workout? Are you disciplined when it comes to eating right & exercising consistently? Do you give your best even when it isn’t necessarily what you want to be doing? Do you convey to them that taking care of their body is important? Or is it optional?
Tomorrow is THE day! The day we find out if baby A is a boy or girl and we’re super excited! I’ve felt like it was a boy this whole pregnancy, to the point where I’ll actually be shocked if it’s a girl 🤣 As long as baby is healthy that’s all we really care about though! Any guesses on girl or boy?! Haven’t had any major cravings-although I could eat Runza French fries on the daily haha, fruit and juice sounds good most of the time, and I do get the urge for sweets aka anything chocolate more than usual, but that’s about it! It’s really been more about what can I eat that doesn’t make me want to gag! 😂 Last heartbeat was 140bmp! Not sure if the heartbeat can really determine the sex, but I guess we’ll see! 🤔
My workout today felt great but I have to be honest it was kind of outside of my comfort zone. •
Right now though my whole life feels like it’s outside of my comfort zone. •
So stepping onto this mat today was just the step I needed. Stepping outside of our comfort zones is hard but when we push through that hard the reward on the other side is so worth it. •
So here today on this mat I pushed through that hard and in our lives we are going to push through that hard one day at a time and one step at a time.

Something clicked this past week. I started to stop caring so much about what people think about me, because it’s none of my business what anyone else thinks of me!
2 years ago, I stopped holding my head high. I started caring too much. I started tearing my body apart. I lost all my confidence.
I stopped letting all that shit control my life and now I hold my head high!
I hated this body when I gained all my weight back. I hated this body for not letting me have a natural birth, for having a scar that saved my sons life, and for the fucking csection pooch - you csection mamas know!
I got so depressed. I ate my feelings. I started having panic attacks and my anxiety went through the roof. I never felt good enough. I was always worried about what people thought of me and if switching careers was the right choice.
I tell ya what, it was the best choice I ever made.
So where am I going with this?? I know it’s a lot of rambling.
Stop giving a shit what other people think about YOU. Stop letting them run your life. Start loving yourself for you right now. Nobody else should dictate how you FEEL! And if you don’t like me, that’s your own damn fault because I’m pretty fucking awesome and you are too! Stop letting the shitty people control how you feel. At the end of the day, they don’t give a shit and you’re left feeling like shit. So don’t give them space! Own your life, raise your head high, and let your light shine bright!

Sometimes you just need to take a chance to see how strong you really are.
I’ve always been a yogi-runner-hiker kind of girl. In fact, since I started this journey over a year ago I’ve stayed inside my comfort zone. I was able to transform my life through yoga and pilates... which is totally awesome, but I always wondered if I was capable of more.
At the beginning of October I started doing a program that is WAY out of my comfort zone, and it has challenged and changed me. I can do jump squats now 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Kicked my ass tonight! Two days of core workouts. But I feel so good to have completed it. Working full time, having a family, helping care for my 89 year old Gma, and making sure my older parents are ok.... All excuses I used to use to not workout or care for myself, now they are reasons to motivate myself. I was exhausted, physically and mentally, but since I've started taking care of myself I have more energy and feel so much better! Let's turn your excuses into motivation too! Tuesday Work: prioritize with the Eisenhower Matrix
Last week I attended an online HR conference. One of the presenters focused on learning to prioritize and learning to say No, but... more than always saying yes.
I’ve been trying to embrace this thinking and want it to be my goal in 2019. I find myself always saying yes and putting pressure on myself to get it done right away. What happens is things that are my goals or my companies goals become not the focus anymore.
Shifting the way I think to the matrix makes me understand what I should be prioritizing and focusing on. Especially more than ever because I want to spend as much time as possible with my son.
I’m not perfect in this area and I absolutely need help so I’m PRIORITIZING this in my life in 2019

Getting back into fitness this year has been a lot tougher than I thought. Between extreme sleep deprivation 😴 exclusively breastfeeding on demand 🤱🏽and being needed ALLLL the time, exercise has been my last priority and to be honest, it hasn’t bothered me that much 😏
I’ve loved my newborn bubble and our special time together. Being ABLE to be here when Ivy has needs me has been incredible. I’ve loved our winter couch cuddles and still miss her when she goes down to sleep 💕👩👧 Doc had also ordered no high intensity exercise, my wrists didn’t (and still don’t) allow me to lift anything with severe De Quervain's Tenosynovitis and zero cleansing due to BF.
My gym membership became a ‘nice to look at’ card in my purse, used minimally ... needless to say I let it expire ✋
I’ve been in good paddock too, with lots of yummy foods! Fish n chips, pizza, taco parties, scones and lots of family celebrations... I like my food, what can I say 🤷🏻♀️😜 Which is EXACTLY why I’m so proud of this photo I took yesterday 🙌🏽 Given how little exercise I’ve done, Isagenix and the system that has kept me in check for 5 years, continues to blow me away with what’s possible to achieve given the incredible little respect I’ve given it. I know how well it works so I’ve really been taking the piss because I know it will save me 🙈
The only thing that I’ve been consistent with is using Isagenix every day around all the other things I’ve been eating. This year I really REALLY realised how incredible it is. It’s helped me shred and get ripped in the past. This year it’s helped me feel healthy, energised and quite frankly, stopped me becoming the size of a house 🤣
So here I am, 8 months between pics. When mums say ‘oh this is just how my body is’ makes me so sad. What is your excuse? I ask this question with no judgement. I had every excuse in the book before I started. I watched my coach Maria Penedo-Warren for 9 months before I said yes to working on me!
The number 1 excuse I hear (and I had it too) is time. I don’t have time to workout. I don’t have time for myself. I am so busy. I know, I felt that way too. The good news is with Beachbody On Demand, you can stream your workouts at home and there are effective workouts as little as 15 mins, 22 mins, 25 mins. And you save time by not having to commute to a gym.
: I don’t have money. Again, this was my excuse. I’m a mom and how can I afford to spend money on myself? I have more good news, this month all our programs are at their lowest price of the year!! Every single challenge pack. This is HUGE! Who doesn’t love saving money. And this is an investment in your health. Somehow We can always justify spending $100 on that bag or those shoes but never on out health. 🤑
So there are 6 weeks left in this year. You can chose to wait til next year and risk gaining a few more pounds, OR you can drop the excuses and join me! How awesome would you feel going into 2019 slimmer, healthier, and more confident? Let’s do this!! Who is ready to join me?
This boy is just a *tiny* bit excited about this being his last night of being 5 years old.
6 years ago, I was preparing for my c-section with him.
Only God knew the difficult road we'd walk for his first 8 months of life, but I believe God chose us for him because He knew we could handle it.
What an adventure it has been.
You guys, I can’t tell you enough! Meal prepping doesn’t have to be hard! Salads don’t have to be boring! Normally, I cook and season the chicken myself, but days that are long and have me tired, I buy the already cooked chicken and throw it on a skillet and heat it up. I warm the beans and corn in a couple pans, chop up the lettuce, and throw some cheese inside a couple tortillas, grill it enough to melt the cheese and top with some jalapeños cherries. Boom! I’m done! This maybe took me maybe 30 mins, if that. And only because I kept having to get Rush away from pulling ornaments off the Christmas tree. Once I invest in an InstaPot I will be able to cook loads of chicken in 8 minutes! Oh, and while I was prepping this salad, I started boiling 10 eggs for the other 5 salads I’m making. Use your imagination!
