Gratitude, Thankfulness, Appreciation. However you look at things when you think of these things your life will change. I fail A LOT. I still yell, cry, complain and get frustrated, but I am working on it. I took some time to reflect today and soak in everything as I am praying tomorrow goes good, I get good news and the doctor tells me nothing is wrong. As I sat there after my workout I started thinking I am.... GRATEFUL I have an amazing husband GRATEFUL I have my beautiful kids Harper and Harley Jakob GRATEFUL I can be a stay at home Mom everyday GRATEFUL I have a house GRATEFUL I have a brand new car And SO MANY more things....the list could go on! I just want comfort food right now but instead I chose to see what was good in the moment as I grabbed the some blueberries instead of chips. Let me start off by saying this is EXTREMELY hard for me to post. No one wants to share the things that make you feel most uncomfortable. But I want my followers to see that I once too was struggling and that it is more than possible to grow and become a healthier, happier version of yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Growing up I was always “fit” or “in shape”. I played sports from the age of 4 to 17. It wasn’t until I got pregnant with my son at 18 that things really started to go downhill for me. I was in a toxic relationship that pushed me into a state of depression and unhealthy living habits. Eating junk and fast food, over eating, lack of any physical activity, just straight feeling like poop all the time. Mentally and physically. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fast forward to a year or two later. I’ve got my beautiful son, I’ve freed myself from the toxic relationship I once was in and I have met my current partner and love of my life, Anthony. I am now in a way better state of mind, I’m happy, I’m motivated and I am determined. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I lost 40+ pounds in a matter of 4-6 months. At this very moment I believed anything was possible. I was proud of myself and I finally felt like me again. I was happy and I was glowing but I still wasn’t the best version of myself. Sure I lost all that weight and I was looking “good” but I was WAY too skinny and still unhealthy. Proud of myself yes, but not where I wanted to be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Present day. I’ve gained some weight back, but healthy weight. I’m more educated on what healthy really is and how fitness has more benefits than just looking good (although it’s a plus 😉). I’ve discovered the true meaning of discipline and dedication. I’m happy and I’m eager to grow. I’m constantly learning and sharing. Which is why I feel like I am here. To help others understand and relate. To motive and to keep things real. To encourage and to support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anything is possible. Believe and you shall achieve. Put in the work and you shall receive. You are beautiful and strong and no matter what life throws at you, I promise you can get through it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Day off from nursing today! 👌 Definitely doesn't mean that I get a day off from working out though 💪💪💪 Gotta keep myself working up to this new 20 minute program that is going to kick my butt! 🍑 I got my early access to some pre-workouts for the program and they are 10 and 15 minutes long.... Did the 10-minute yesterday and the 15-minute today... 💦💦💦 DRIPPING SWEAT!! 💃💃💃 You know what that means though? 🤷🤷 This is going to be amazing! 😍😍😍 Thanks Shaun T! You're the man! 😘

My kids have been eating oatmeal for breakfast in the mornings and the sweet-cinnamon smell has me craving a bowl for myself! Usually, oatmeal doesn’t sit well with me. I have a hard time digesting grains and starting my day with a big bowl full of carbs leaves me feeling lethargic later on in the day. 💤 . So I approached this oatmeal craving the same way I teach my clients to. First, I thought about how I could upgrade the meal. Solution: @onedegreeorganics sprouted rolled oats. 🙌🏻 {Sprouting grains makes them easier to digest.} . Next, make sure to #llwscorefour . Even though I’m having oatmeal, I still need to make sure I’m getting 20 grams of protein in this meal, a serving of healthy fat, and color. This will help with blood sugar balance and alleviate that energy crash. . Solution: I cooked the oatmeal according to the instructions {stovetop with water and sea salt} and added cinnamon and a scoop of Moss Nutrition vanilla pea protein powder at the end with a little more water. Then I added a tbsp. of ground flaxseed for extra fiber and some healthy fats. . Once it was all heated up I topped the oatmeal with raw pumpkin seeds, a few goji berries, and a drizzle of full-fat coconut milk. DELICIOUS! . Totally hit the spot and satisfied my craving, + I made a body loving choice to upgrade the quality. . Living well doesn’t mean swearing off your favorite foods, it means making intentional choices in the way you fuel your body. . Now I’m off to slay the day! Happy 🐪 day everyone.

My labor was crazy, bc it was total 5 hours and when I got to the hospital, my baby’s head was almost out already🐣 No tears, no stitches everything was perfect👑 My doctor couldn’t make it on time since it happened so fast, but luckily my hubby is a doctor and he basically delivered his own baby by accident lol Exercising definitely helped✨ This movie clip was taken 4 weeks post birth, by which time I already got my flat belly back 💓

Not this year mister! I’ve got a new plan of attack that’s working 🙌🏼 . We all have lots going on with holiday events, dinners, and gift giving on top of our usual stuff and stress, right? #tistheseasontobejolly . I feel particularly behind this year as I’ve been down and out with a chest infection for a week #todolistisgrowing . My approach: #slowitdown , like my mind bouncing around to a million things and not getting much done. #soundsfamiliar ? . For example, this morning my plan was to get up early to catch up, but I was up from 2-4am hacking up a lung 😷. When my alarm went off, I started to panic. I quickly thought to myself: slow it down. Give yourself the extra time to get more sleep. My day will be so much better! . So I did. And it is so far🙌🏼 . What kind of small mindful shifts are you making to help with your stress?
I started really dialing in my workouts about 5 weeks ago. ( first picture) then about 3 weeks ago I dialed in the nutrition ( middle picture) and the last picture is today. I’m by no means trying to lose weight and I haven’t, I’ve actually gained 24 lbs so far with this pregnancy but I feel great and want to be my best and healthiest self for my kids and for my postpartum recovery.

Three months ago If you would of told me that I workout, I would of probably laughed at you!! I was always talking about wanting to workout, eat better, and loose weight. I was never taking any ACTION. Then one day I got tired of my excuses. I needed change, I craved growth, and I wanted something for myself! I'm always so concerned with taking care of everyone else that I forget to take care of myself. I wasn't going to hold myself back any longer. I decided to make it a goal to complete a workout program. It was so difficult at first! Some days I wanted to give up but I reminded myself the only person I can blame for my failures is myself. I held myself accountable, I started to believe I could achieve my goal! It is hard juggling a family. The days can become long and after I put my kids to bed all I want to do is become a couch potato and binge watch shows on Netflix. I gave up 25 minutes of Netflix and gave myself 25 minutes to change and improve my life!! I started paying attention to what I was eating but still allowing myself to enjoy 🍕🍩🌮🍰!! Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be a chore, and you don't have to eliminate certain foods to loose weight to be healthy! It's all about your mindset!! Zion is sick and our routine was off today. I expected it so I was emotionally prepared. . . Normally, I workout in the afternoon during the boys’ nap time but today I did an evening workout. I so wanted to skip it but I showed up. You know being a coach holds me accountable. 😉 . . So, some wonder when is the best time to workout...🤔 . . The best time is the time you will actually workout! . . However, according to our circadian clock...our internal clock...our bodies are ready for light movement upon waking up. By 5pm, our muscles are ready for quick and intense exercise. . . Exercising too close to sleep time can affect the quality of sleep but if that’s what works for your schedule....hey! You gotta do what you gotta do! Just cool your body down as much as you can before going to sleep. (I.e. Cool shower. You only have today to SHOW that goal or dream you have in mind MATTERS to you. . You only have today to finally LET GO of your excuses and start taking action. . You only have today to embrace that CHANGE that you so want badly in your life. . . . So START it, CREATE it, DO it, BE ALL ABOUT IT... And I promise everything will follow. You’ll be surprised how much ACCOMPLISHMENT and MOMENTUM you’ll gain in your life just by letting go of your old self who procrastinates & makes excuses all the time. . When I was in second grade I was picked on for being “fat”, being “weird”, and because I’m Italian and couldn’t shave yet “hairy”. ⁣ ⁣ I’m sure my story is so familiar to so many girls like me. ⁣ ⁣ Even after I grew out of my “fat” phase [thank you puberty], found friends that made my feel “normal”, and learned how to shave my legs , I STILL never felt good enough. ⁣ ⁣ I remember being at a slumber party and doing crunches because I was bigger than the other girls and thought something was wrong with me. ⁣ ⁣ I played sports. ⁣ I tried “diets”.⁣ I ran my body into the ground.⁣ ⁣ But nothing changed the hurt I felt on the inside. ⁣ ⁣ I believe that God gives us struggles so that we can use it as our superpower here on earth. That no matter how hard life gets, we are still able to bless others through our story.⁣ ⁣ The amount of times I looked in the mirror and hated myself is more than I could count. ⁣ ⁣ I would start something and quit on myself so many times because I didn’t feel worthy of loving myself. ⁣ ⁣ Then I found this community of women who were working out at home, getting in the best shape of their lives, AND looked TRULY happy. ⁣ ⁣ I’m not saying I signed up as a coach and miraculously started loving myself. ⁣ I’ve had to do WERK [internally and externally]. ⁣ ⁣ Four years in the game, and I still have the occasional pity party and pick myself apart. ⁣ ⁣ I don’t show up every day to be perfect. ⁣ I don’t show up every day for the six pack. ⁣ I don’t show up every day for the likes. ⁣ ⁣ I show up every day for the girls like me, the ones who were picked on, the ones who were told by some 3rd grade mean girl [ps: I forgive you, no hard feelings ❤️] that they weren’t good enough, or the ones who feel they will NEVER get to where they want to be. ⁣ ⁣ I show up every day to remind myself how far I’ve come, to love the skin I’m in, how blessed I am to have a body that moves, and how grateful I am to share my story with the world - - no matter how scary, hairy 😅, or embarrassing it might be. ⁣ ⁣ SO! On this beautiful new Monday & fresh start, I want you to remember that you’re so much more than words AND that you can come out stronger!
Good Monday Morning! Today I started a new workout program to prep me for the new Shuan T workout coming out in January. It kicked my butt and it was only 25 minutes. 😅 I love starting a new program! What is even more exciting is this evening my team will be hosting a call with Shaun T. It’s not easy. When it’s 18 degrees outside it’s not easy to get up and workout. For us it’s honestly about the end result. It’s about how we feel if we don’t workout. One day doesn’t matter if we skip but one skipped day can easily turn into two or weeks or months. It’s absolutely easy to fall out of working out. It’s a choice you have to make every single day. I’ve done hundreds of programs and there are so many that I love. Where I am at currently this program is just suiting. I’m enjoying growing stronger. You choose. Yes, it’s true. I truly hate waking up early. I have a confession to make...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as I preach balance...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as I preach to take time for yourself...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as I preach to block your time and create YOUR schedule...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And as much as I preach to make simple nutrition choices...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...this week I failed at it all.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I did not do the best job of looking after myself this week. I had some moments that were better than others. I did meet up with a friend for an hour walk, and another friend for a twilight snowshoe. I did fit in all my workouts. And I spent some much needed time with family.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I felt scattered. I worked. A lot. Like a tonne. I said yes to activities when I should have said no. I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off. I got caught up in comparing myself to others...others being better moms, better business owners and just better people. And it caught up with me. It always catches up with me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I ended up down and out with a migraine. Like...I still have yet to get out of bed since mid-Saturday. Zach is an active, growing 10 year old, who is always hungry! We needed something quick for breakfast that keeps him full until lunch. . He decided scrambled eggs with sausage sounded good.
