Homemade-ish. But the kids love it. It's got some "real" food. I'll take it.
Tomorrow will be different. Its only 1 night right. But I'm gonna kill my leg workout later. .

Had a few thin mint Girl Scout cookies and my eating window is closed again. At almost 3 weeks in, not having an issue with fasting. It’s become easy(on work days) to go 22-23 hours. Weekends are tougher, I think I need to find something to do on weekends. Sitting around the house just has me bored and watching the fasting clock lol

Finally home!! I’ve lost a day due to the time difference so I’m thinking today is Day 5. Couldn’t take good photos due to the light on the plane but I did my best to make good choices and left the rice and drank the bubbles! 🥂😉So day 5... today.. MAJOR unpacking required and the I need to finish run 3 of Week 1 by Saturday which is totally doable! workout today. This morning I did my Yoga, did my bodyweight moves, and then went for a trailrun at the park. Tonight was only my Hasfit workout as I decided not to hop on the elliptical at all. I had a "friend" watch my workout tonight, so I decided to take a picture with him before I chopped up some vegetables. Also I made sure to have my hair 'Beaker'esk. :'P #BorkBorkBork
yesterday was mainly because of eating poorly in the afternoon/evening. My two main kryptonite items are Cereal and Peanut Butter,,, and man when you put them together... But basically when I was about to start my bodyweight moves I instead had an entire box of cereal, and then felt like crap after my Hasfit workout and jumping during the bodyweight moves. Then I wanted to get on the elliptical for 45 minutes at least, and instead I stopped at 25. Today I was doing really great, until this evening a bit ago, and again went to get too much to eat for no reason. So it's basically just a Fail because of being disappointed in myself. But now I will make sure to include my food habits in my post-workout write ups, maybe that will help me kick myself into gear. Accountability is a huge mental thing overall.

DAILY CALORIE TOTAL TRACKING
So let’s talk about tracking.
When you add in the negative calorie impact on total daily calories from exercise it’s going to cause you more and more headache.
And make your results that much harder to get!
It’s super easy to overestimate the energy output during exercise, humans like to think we’re doing great all the time 😉
What is gonna happen is this:
You’re supposed to eat 1300 calories.
You ate 1350 calories.
And had 400 calories from exercise.
At the end of the day you look over it says you have 350 calories remaining.
What do you do? Eat more?
But you can’t.
That’s not gonna help you stay on track for what you need to do so the best way to do it is just not factor in those calories burned for exercise.
Too many hands in the pot and your dreams of being in shape will go out of business like entertainment 720!
Focus on the nutrition calories for your totals.
Focus on the exercise for building muscle and getting stronger.
Your nutrition will become way more consistent.
Just focus on the calories from the food and stay there. Don’t add in your exercise.
Your Fitbit just ain’t that into you.

I enjoyed my Fitbit for a while, and still think they can be great tools to inspire movement, but lately I felt like I needed one less thing to measure up to throughout the day. I trust I am still moving plenty, but I feel a lot more free without assessing my steps every time I gaze at my wrist. Maybe I’ll get back with it down the road, but I’m truly valuing this break and this reestablished prioritization of listening to how I feel up to moving my body consistently rather than striving to arrive at a particular number of steps, etc.. While fitness watches can be helpful tools, they can also become external noise that distracts us from listening to our body.
“I need to get all of my steps in.”
“That workout was a waste. My heart rate didn’t get high enough.”
“I guess that didn’t count bc my watch didn’t register it/I forgot to hit start.”
“UGH it’s yelling at me to move again.”
“I can’t eat as much today bc I’ve burned less calories than usual.”
Challenge: Try taking the watch off & moving without it. *gasp* 😱
Yes, it’ll feel weird/uncomfortable/naked. It’ll feel like it doesn’t “count.”
BUT it will also feel so dang liberating, help you feel more connected with your body...& maybe even find a little more joy in moving it!

I made a cheese buffalo wrap thing! I melted some mozzarella cheese in the pan in a circle and then added a chicken, hot sauce and cream cheese mixture and folded it up! So darn good. This is definitely gonna be on my menu for a while!

I have many WHYs for starting my health and fitness journey....but this one stuck out to me today- maybe because I am actually wearing my Fitbit and so far I have gone up and down my stairs 17 times!
But when I first moved into this house I would get winded going up my stairs. 😬
This wasn’t going to work for me: the master bedroom, laundry, and our main entrance is in the daylight basement while the kids rooms and the rest of the house is upstairs.
I knew I had to get I shape to do life.
I knew I had to be able to carry groceries in and up the stairs to the kitchen. This use to be a major workout for me 😅 because it meant making multiple trips.
I knew I had to be able to carry laundry 🧺 up stairs.
I knew I had to be able to get to my kids rooms without feeling out of breath.
I knew I had to change.
Today I can run up these stairs and not feel out of breath.
Today I can carry Costco up these stairs.
Today I can carry my kids up these stairs.
Today I am strong, powerful, able to do life.
Today I am giving myself and my family the best version of me 💗
