🙋‍♀️Hallo, mein Name ist Julia, ich bin 27, eigentlich eine ziemliche Großklappe und in 5 Wochen will ich meinen 1. Marathon laufen. Das da auf dem Foto bin auch ich; vorhin, völlig verheult, irgendwo an der Elbe. 30km waren geplant, bei Km18 war der Ofen einfach aus und ich MEGA bockig!!! Die Welt ist nicht nur rosa 🚫 keiner von uns läuft ständig Bestleistung. So ein Marathontraining ist manchmal echt eine Grenzerfahrung: Was kann der Körper ABER vorallem: Was kann der Kopf leisten? ➰ PREPA MARATHON ➰ week 14 Début de semaine à fond, hier séance renfo/abdos et aujourd’hui sortie longue. So apparently I can't add (multiplication and division seem to be more my style) and I miscalculated that my runstreak day 1000 happened on July 29th this year...so happy runstreak day 1017! • • • And I celebrated today with a nice 6x800 workout with the entire MU team on the track (they were prepping for practice so I just had the big spotlight on me 😂). My life...focusing a lot on just not trippingin front of them. 🤦‍♀️ • • • My first streak ended just shy of 2000 days with a couple weeks remaining in the xc season...showing up on crutches and a beautiful big bandage over that open wound was quite the entrance. I was released to run 2.5wks after the incident ("you can start jogging" were the doc's actual words 😂 my response, "what's jogging?" left him very confused) and I took it easy building back into things. I had a 24s pr in my 5k within a year and still waiting to break 18min, have run 3 half marathons with a 9min pr and hoping to go sub 1:30 sooner than later, and qualified with that big pr for the NYC marathon. A lot of amazing runs and a lot of really bad runs, solo runs and runs with some amazing people. The nice part about training for your first marathon with the skill set of a trained chef is that, when you realize you’re 16 weeks out and need to seriously get your ass in gear, nutrition isn’t that big of a deal. I spent the day cooking yesterday, and ended up with some exceptional vegetarian dishes loaded with all the good stuff I need to push forward. As pictured, I made some muesli / granola with coconut, mixed nuts, pumpkin seeds, flax, chia, and dried blueberries. I cooked some seriously beautiful red speckled beans in a silky vegetable purée, with quinoa to match cooked in the reserved bean liquid. I’m stoked about a chick pea salad in a rice wine vinaigrette, as well as some of the best hummus I’ve personally ever made. Thank god for killer sourdough to match. I’m ready. You ready? In just 81 days these feet are going to run 26.2 miles for the @nycmarathon. 🏃‍♀️ 😱 I’ve wanted to run the marathon for years and finally have the opportunity to do so for @cpfnyc , a wonderful organization that provides free arts, sports, education an programs, to more than 350 parks, recreative centers and public schools across New York City. Had someone I admire for her own health journey message me this recently. My response? "Hey gorgeous lady! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. This will probably sound crazy. It would've to me 9 months ago, buts it's God. God gets me through my long runs. I've ran two 1/2 marathons and long runs were always HARD. This time around it isn't. It's like having a personal trainer in my head. I run without music, pod casts, etc. Just completely present and pray. I found God last November working through my eating disorder/food addiction in a 12 step program. Now my head sounds like this: Me: how long have I been running? I'm getting tired God: I'm with you. I give you endless energy. You could run forever if I asked you Me: yes God: Who do you run for? Me: for you and Team World Vision God: do you run for time? Me: no God: distance? End of week 8! @uamapmyrun could not properly track my run on Wednesday & Thursday so the distance is wrong. Last week wasn’t so bad but now I’m sore and my muscles feel strained. I shouldn’t gone to yoga yesterday but didn’t have the time or energy. I feel like I should do the peloton 🚲 tonight and ice... I’m going to google to try and figure out what is going on with my right hamstring, how to heal it and how to stop getting annoying little injuries like this! 🙏🏻
What can I say... I honestly didn't think I can do this marathon, and at the end I did it under 4 hours I still can't believe it. I would like to thank the pacer who gave me incredibly good tips during race and refueling strategies so I don't "hit the wall", really thankful for that. I would have probably cried a little at the finish line but I was still unaware of what I did and still am,doesn't feel real. Woche 7, ein Halbmarathon als Wettkampf in 2:08h stand für die Woche noch an. Musste also heute nachgeholt werden. Also Wecker gestellt und los bei angenehmen 14 Grad. Bis km 5/6 lief es gut und zügiger als sonst aber dann kamen Schmerzen im linken Gesäßbereich hinzu. 😣 Diese wurden leider stärker statt schwächer. Pause nach 11km mit Dehn- und Lockerungsübungen. Überlegung den Lauf abzubrechen. Bis km 17 ging es dann wieder. Schmerzen waren da aber in der Bewegung noch aushaltbar. Dann noch eine kurze Trinkpause und danach ging fast nix mehr. 😰 Starke Schmerzen und ich hab mich dann irgendwie noch über die volle geplante Distanz heim geschleppt. So ein Mist! 😭 Sogar eine neue Bestzeit für den HM in diesem Jahr kam für mich heraus, auch wenn ich das Ziel nicht ganz schaffen konnte. Zu Hause habe ich jetzt gedehnt und nun liege ich einfach nur ein bisschen rum. Kann aber kaum noch auftreten, sofort stechende Schmerzen. 😢 Und hoffe natürlich das es bald wieder besser wird. Ach man, seit Jahren laufe ich schmerzfrei und gerade das war der Anlass die volle Distanz zu wagen und nun kommt es doch so heftig zurück. 😰 (obwohl ich früher nie Schmerzen auf der linken Körperseite hatte sondern immer nur rechts) Ich kann nur hoffen und beten das es nur eine kurze Überlastung ist und genauso schnell wieder weg geht. Hat Jemand von euch Erfahrungen damit? #mimimi Ich hab doch noch sooooo viel vor mir! 😭😰😢
Первый марафон. Часть 3. Заключительная :) Первые три часа я побежала с условно-приличным темпом, за 3 часа 10 минут. Почему условно, потому что изначально искренне надеялась выбежать из 4х часов. Наконец мы повернули на каменную набережную. Для меня самое неприятное, когда трассы проложены кругами или петлями, заключительная петля в марафоне, это конечно не самое весёлое 😫 Ты бежишь, навстречу бегут люди, которые через несколько минут финишируют. А тебе ещё работать и работать. Ну плюс тут случилось непредвиденное, я думала, что могу устать, или пульс начнёт зашкаливать, но вдруг предательски стали отказывать ноги. Ну то есть ты бежишь на полуавтомате 😅 Пит-стоп был абсолютно вне зоны видимости, а пить стало хотеться постоянно. Если на первых остановках давали воду в бутылке (зачем??), то на последнем этапе в ход пошли стаканы, а с ними бежать нереально, да и воды в них все равно мало. До поворота я бежала под бодрую музыку, хотя и сдала в темпе, но все же более или менее. Как по классике, последние 7,2 км, вот где самое 💪🏻💪🏻 В принципе, эти км я бежала на чистой воле. Думала, смогу дойти пешком, где там! Один раз перешла на шаг, поняла, что ноги не слушаются от слова «совсем», включила «автомат» и побежала дальше. В голове было примерно следующее «37, 37, 37...», «38, 38, да где уже тетя в майке 38». Последние пару км, мышцы болели так, что искренне сравнивала процесс с родами 😂 «Аа, зачем я на это пошёл? Может ещё рассосётся? Больше никогда! Да чтоб я ещё...!» 😂 Голова сбойнула, была уверена, что финиш на 41,2 🤦🏼‍♀️ Люди кричат, давай, давай, ещё чуть чуть! А ты понимаешь, что, сколько бы не оставалось, после финиша ещё предстоит процесс принятия своих ног обратно в семью 😂 На последних км барабанщики! Нет, ну правда зачем? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Перед финишем увидела мужа, очень обрадовалась, к тому же была рада, что не придётся вести машину! После ворот перешла на шаг, изо всех сил улыбалась на фото, попыталась сесть, или встать, ноги очень мешали это сделать. Не дождалась никого из друзей, дошла до машины и наконец села. После чего у меня свело обе ноги разом 😖 Дальше в комментариях 👇🏼

Sometimes I like looking back a little bit and see the achievements I've made which looked impossible at first. It has been two months that I've completed my first marathon, it was an amazing experience, not only during the race but also for the rough training that it represents. My next big event is in a couple of weeks, I'm scared and I know that the more I push it and the more likely I'll be failing at some point but if I have to fail I want to do it giving everything and learn from it. I'll be attempting the HH12HR followed by a trifecta week end in Hawaii starting on 24th, it's going to be from far the hardest challenge of my entire life and I am not going there to slack a single second. I expect to meet mental walls and rough discouragement but this is exactly why I'm on this journey, I have to meet it to know how to overcome it. Am I going to see any of you guys? Marathontraining Woche 7: Zugegeben, es gibt Läufe auf die hat man so gar keine Lust. Die macht man nur weil man „muss“... weil es der Plan vorgibt oder der innere Ehrgeiz nicht darüber hinwegsehen würde diesen Lauf nicht gemacht zu haben... 🙈 Schweinehund verzieh dich. Gut ist zu wissen dass es meist sofort besser wird mit den ersten Schritten. Richtig geplatzt ist der Knoten heute erst auf den letzten 2 Kilometern. 😅 So ist das halt manchmal. Nach so einem tollen Tag am See in der Sonne bin ich froh überhaupt nochmal los gekommen zu sein. 😄
Yesterday’s before & after shots from the storm ⛈ I have painful chafe marks on my waistline and chest now from running in wet clothes.. 😰 I didn’t feel anything at the time but will def try to not run in a storm again! Icing my right leg all day today... my hamstring is so sore 😞. Today I’m doing work to catch up from being out on jury duty last week, watching alllllll the tv 📺 & reading magazines on my couch. Feel lame for not doing anything this weekend but after two weekends out of town I needed lazy time to recharge 🙃
