🌚 Who had the chance to watch the lunar eclipse last night?!
Sunrises and sunsets usually get all the attention, but there’s something enchanting about the moon 🌙
Before this trip, I had never properly paid attention to the moon. How full it was or when it would rise and set. My time was spent largely indoors, and when i was outside at night - the moon was often obscured by buildings or light pollution. If I happened to notice it - it always made me pause for a minute to admire it, but I didn’t miss it the way I missed sunshine after a week of rain 🌤
But now, the moon has taken on a whole new significance for me. The sun sets early, and when the moon rises it makes a world of difference in our lives! It’s the difference between sailing in total darkness or having sufficient light to enter an anchorage at night. Its the difference between a night hike on land being fun or frightening. On this night, the moon illuminated small rays leaping out of the water near the boat! So last night, we stayed up late to watch the lunar eclipse. It was amazing to watch how the brightness of the full moon illuminated the water, the shore, and the pelicans diving for a late night snack - until everything dimmed into darkness as the earth eclipsed the moon, and the moon turned red 🌒
We couldn’t help but wonder what this experience must have been like for early humans, long before we understood the sun and moon, and planetary orbits. Was it terrifying, thinking that the moon was dying? Was it exhilarating, imagining that gods or spirits were up to something fantastic in the heavens? All I know is that I was reassured knowing we would have our full moon back by the end of the night 🌝
"I’m confident in my tasc pieces in the mountains - I have to be, my life sometimes depends on it. But it goes further than that: friends and strangers often ask about the pieces, and I am more than happy to recommend the gear."

One cleaner to rule them all. Haha. It really is that good. I was a skeptic from the start, but I actually use Thieves Cleaner on EVERYTHING now.
I remember the first time that I tried to use it. I’m pretty sure that I grabbed it and tried using it straight from the bottle. I remember @ambereveryday
yelling at me that I had used too much. It was true. I had no idea what I was doing then. I do, however, know now. This concentrated bottle actually makes about 26 spray bottles. It’s that concentrated!
Now, I use it to do things I never expected. I use it to clean the bathroom (all of it). I use it to clean the counters and table in the kitchen, wash the wood floors, and most importantly the stainless appliances and my BBQ grill. I love keeping the outside of that grill looking sharp. I don’t know what it is, but clean refrigerator doors, grill cover, and prep area makes me happy.
Needless to say, it’s safe for my boys as well and isn’t causing problems from any foreign chemicals.
We’ve traded all the cleaners in our home for this. There were just too many reasons not to and when it works and smells as good as it does, it truly is an easy decision. - M

“There can be no deep disappointment where there is no deep love” - Martin Luther King Jr.
Today we remember the incredible Martin Luther King Jr. A man who inspired people around him with peaceful resistance and racial equality. A man who helped so many people to have courage and to do what they truly believed in. It makes me wonder, who are the real superheroes? I believe they are REAL people with no super powers, but have genuine courage, something they believe in, and never give up. Martin Luther King Jr. was a true hero in every way.
We are inspired by so many wonderful people in our lives. I feel, to live with true inspiration and gratitude helps us become HAPPIER each day.
I would love to know, who or what inspires you?
