Well this tree is starting to actually say it’s fall out here...
"I went to film school, so when I started designing florals as a hobby I tried to match the color palettes of the movie scenes I loved." - Cassandra Nguyen of locally-sourced @simplehappyfloral
Not my photographer or cellphone. This photographer was shooting passionately in front of the stage. It was evident he loved the art and the performance. I messed around with the color and time lapse again...I don’t know if I really like this video as much as the others. It’s not about that though. It’s about the creative process. Shooting and editing. Shooting and editing. Shooting and editing. Repetition until it’s second nature.
Not my cellphone. Going for that scratchy old vinyl feel. Editing in Premiere. Messing around right now mainly. Time lapse editing and key framing is tricky.
Disclaimer these are Not my water bottles. Was going for vintage faded MTV style.
Tried achieving that vintage film old school MTV look. Premiere is a dope piece of software. The key framing is challenging but I’ll get the hang of it. Just messing with the stuff again. Eventually I’m going to shoot that one take music video with an artist from OKC.
Learning to edit with Premiere and messing with the colors and tried to achieve a crackly distorted image.
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend of creating. What project are you working on this week? Comment down below!
Here is the cinematographers secret for spectacular landscapes or vistas. Reveal them rather than cutting to them. Here is a simple but spectacular example. Look how the camera moves and gradually shows more and more. This is the way it is meant to work. The fact the shot is my beloved Greece where I soon return to continue my work there, is a double bonus. Seriously if you are about to make a film, look at this image. Is there someplace else you would rather shoot? Now with great tax incentives and excellent crews. Happy to help.
Will we see you at the “Delinquent” film screening? The award-winning feature film will show Monday, October, 29 at 7 pm in Breslin Hall Room 211 on Hofstra’s campus. A Q&A with writer/director Kieran Valla will follow the screening! Link to Facebook event in bio.
“All my characters are me. I'm not a good enough actor to become a character. I hear about actors who become the role and I think 'I wonder what that feels like'. Because for me, they're all me. I relate to these characters because aspects of their personality are like me. And I just turn up the parts of myself that are them and turn down the parts that aren't. “- Ryan Gosling #mcm
