When all the hard work hunting is done ... sometimes you just have to take a power nap before starting the next shift #humpday
My name is Indie, I am a working cocker and I am a snipe specialist! It is me with the snipe in my owner’s book ‘A Year on the Moor’ as well. Yesterday was a bad hair day... too much wind!
Spotting scopes ... do you use one?
Coming from a woodland stalking and fox lamping background, we’ve never had a need for spotting scopes ... however, on our recent trip to Norway with @kuiueurope
we discovered how invaluable one can be when hunting open terrain like mountains! -
You probably don’t need one if you’re willing to beat yourself up getting into bino range of animals ... but if you’re smart you can use a spotting scope to rapidly identify whether the animals you’ve spotted are what you’ve come for. -
Another thing that really appealed to us is digiscoping! @pedroampueroca
uses his @swarovskioptik_hunting
set-up to film animals from literally miles away on his phone! This is something we can’t do with our DSLR’s and it was the first time we’ve been able to do it for footage! Can’t wait to see how it all turns out and we’ll probably be looking into getting our hands on one for DSLR digiscoping on future trips 🤔 #swarovskioptik #spottingscope #digiscoping
No, you absolutely cannot come with me to A F R I C A today. Poor sad boy. They always know somethings up don’t they? And Springers really know how to turn on the Please Don’t Leave Me look. Miss you boy.

We had a fantastic day photographing on one of the local Grouse moors a few weeks ago. It's a real shame that the Grouse population took a massive hit this year. Moorlands are fantastic places to spend a day with the camera!
