Day 30 of 30 days of Healthy Living. (I’m late-as usual with my posts) It has been a crazy busy week with the extreme cold πŸ₯Ά weather we had. Juggling schedules to make things work. I started off my day as usual with a balanced shake and several fizz sticks this morning. Feeling kind of irritated probably from the cold and couldn’t get a workout in the day before. My 9-5 has been super busy and didn’t slow down with the cold. So-I did a double workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ to get some of that energy and frustration out. Headed to a strength πŸ’ͺ class #45 then off to @auspicious_me last class at Solidcore. Then headed off to to see Wayne play with @dreamboat_music @astercafe . Dinner was a sweet potato salad with chicken and I cheated and had a glass of 🍷. πŸ’β€β™€οΈ A girl needs her wine sometimes. Lunch was shrimp fried rice made with coconut amino. Day 29 of 30 Days of Healthy Living. Hey hey! Who made it out today? πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ It was -26 degrees this morning and the car wouldn’t startπŸ™…β€β™€οΈ! Still made it in to my 9-5. Breakfast was fueled by chocolate chia pudding, πŸ₯¦ steamed to make it a complete breakfast. Bored 😐 at work made it easy to snack-protein bar, fit chews, coconut πŸ₯₯ yogurt, and turkey πŸ¦ƒ jerky. At least they were healthy! πŸ€“. Lunch was leftover steak πŸ₯© with peppers and onions. Days like today is a nice reminder Why I’m building a side biz so in the future I can work anywhere there is WiFi. 😊 Dinner was a bag of potato chips cooked in coconut oil. Mmmm, crunchy! Day 28 of 30 days of healthy living. A frozen tundra! Yikes it was -15 below and continues to drop. πŸ₯Ά Able to make it to a πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ workout class this morning and back home safely before headed to my 9-5. Breakfast and morning beverages consisted of hormonally balanced shake, pre and post workout cocktail, energy fizz stick, tea and recovery protein shake. I have to pee like 10 times before getting to work in the morning. πŸ™‰ Surprising work was steady. Lunch was leftover salmon and cauliflower and squash salad. Clinic closed early which was nice to get home before it got really cold. Brrrr..., but Wayne and I were crazy enough to bare the cold and go out to dinner with a friend. Happy Tuesday all! Yesterday was my 100th @f45_training_stlouispark !! I was so distracted πŸ˜‚ I forgot to post this. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ β€’ β€’ β€’ I remember walking into that first class. It was a Tuesday night strengthπŸ’ͺ training. I asked my friend @ladystein76 to come along so I didn’t have to try this out myself and πŸ™ thank goodness she said yes! β€’ β€’ β€’ I remember walking out of class thinking oh man I hated everything about it but ❀️ loved it at the same time. Challenging the body and mind to do something new and different. It gives you that stimulation...that β€œhigh” that I was craving. I knew it was going to help with my goals for this new year. β€’ β€’ β€’ Now it’s been about 6 months and I can’t get enough of it. Not just seeing and β€œfeeling” the physical changes but having the AMAZING πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ coaches that speaks life into you. Pushing you and believing in you when you don’t believe in yourself. (I tend to underestimate my abilities at times πŸ˜‰). Day 27 of 30 Days of Healthy Living. It was an unpredictable day starting with the snow we had. Expected much more, but enough to play in. πŸ˜ƒ Started my day with a dental appt for my annual cleaning. I ❀️ going to the dentist and especially my hygienist -she’s very thorough and is not afraid to poke and prod. I know I’m different-lol πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Since I couldn’t have any anything to eat before hand I was starving on my way to workout so meals were imperfect today and that’s πŸ‘Œ. Had a apple cinnamon protein bar, and pre workout drink. Then off to an Athletica workout. Seriously, I thought I was going to die today. 🀒 But made it to 1,000+ points for the F45 January month challenge! πŸ‘ Had a post recovery shake. Went grocery shopping and found some 30 DHL approved chips and salsa. Day 26 of 30 days of healthy living. Started off the day with a pre-workout drink and off to a Romans πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ workout. It was a great one this morning!! Followed up with a 🌱 protein shake for recovery and post workout BCAA drink. Balanced shake for breakfast. Then headed out to a friend’s brunch gathering. Day 25 of 30 days of Healthy Living. BrrrπŸ₯Ά, it’s cold outside! Saturday mornings are for sleeping πŸ’€ in but today woke up early to take mom to the temple. (I haven’t been to service in a very long time. I might need to revisit this this year.) Breakfast was a shake and fizz stick to get me going and alert on the roads. They were slippery. Yikes. 😬 Then off to a β€œI am kinda healthy” event. I call it my self care. πŸ˜ƒ We got a workout in, had a panel of local businesses talk about how they stay kinda healthy. It was great to hear from the CEO of Alchemy talk about being an entrepreneur-If you have an idea and willing to work you can make it happen πŸ‘. Lunch was provided by @agra_culture , @sotarolusa , d’avocado -it melts in your mouth. If you have not been there it’s super delicious. Carefully drove home on the slippery roads and got some chores βœ… done. Day 23 of 30 Days of Healthy Living. (I’m late again... πŸ˜‚ story of my life)! I started my day with a power hormonally balanced shake for breakfast and a double fizz stick to get my day started at work. It’s been a busy few weeks @ my 9-5. Lunch was a quick πŸ₯— salad. I found a quick way to make a kale salad less bitter is to drizzle EVOO on it and whatever seasoning or toppings. I like hemp seeds and sunflower seeds and Nuke it in the microwave for 45 -60 seconds. I added this quinoa πŸ” to add some healthy carbs. With work being so busy I am in Need of a good πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ. Rushed to make a class tonight and stayed for round 2. First back to back double. πŸ‘Š First time feeling sore in awhile...like the first day I walked into my first F45 class. πŸ’₯ Fueled post workout with 🌱 protein, post workout BCAA and detox β˜•οΈ tea. Day 22 of 30 days of healthy living. Started the day off with a green apple 🍏 fizz stick + hydration stick and a kick butt πŸ‘ cardio workout. Thanks Sarah for being there to motivate today. First day in a while that I was able to hit 45 pts during a cardio workout. Is it important that I do each time? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ No of course not but sometimes....most times I underestimate my ability to push hard enough. Thinking I need to keep some energy on reserve. I think that’s the marathoner πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ in me. So I appreciate the coaches so much to continually push me to do a little bit more and go a little bit harder. I’m β€œdoing me” but better. πŸ‘πŸ˜€ Post workout was plant 🌱 based protein shake. Then a hormonally balanced shake for breakfast on the go. Threw this together this morning and it tasted πŸ‘! Had a fizz stick for the morning and another one for a mid afternoon pick me up. ✌️ This evening was a good night at BINGO! Brought my lucky dabber and won! Nice that I can still find clean options when out for dinner and still able to make the meal clean...as possible. Day 21 of 30 days of healthy living. Started my morning with a great strength training πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ workout at 6 am. Yes I said 6 am. It takes me 25 minutes to drive there one way. (Remember how I said I’m not a morning person πŸ˜‰) Well, I CRAVE it now. It started with committing to an 8 week challenge at F45 and I wanted to get my 5-6 workouts in a week. In order to do that some days I had to get up early to fit it in. (Some days were double days.) At first it SUCKED. 😳 I would hit snooze 2-3x and remember talking myself out of it, but then I started using Mel Robbins 5 second rule and it worked. πŸ’‘ It got easier and easier to get up in the morning and NOW I can’t wait for it. When days I have to wait to workout after work I Have something to look forward to. Ok off on a tangent. 😬 Started my day with a pre workout drink then post workout protein and a hormonally balanced shake for breakfast. My day today was uneventful. Work schedule was slow. Got some CEs done βœ… while at work. Lunch πŸ₯— was a salad with sweet potatoes and a protein bar b/c I was still hungry and lots of water throughout the day. Day 20 of 30 days of Healthy Living. ( Late post for Monday) I can’t believe there is only 10 days left of this program. Warning ⚠️ this is a long post and there may be some truth that you might not agree with or want to hear. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Started the day off with a GREAT πŸ‘ πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ workout. I had PLANNED to wake up early-had a lot of things to get done but when that ⏰ went off. My body was telling me to keep 😴. Normally, I can shake this and get out of bed but today decided to sleep in. Went to a later class and Coach Sarah said β€œYou are β€œon” today! β€œ I could β€œfeel” it. Sometimes listening to your body and what it needs is all you need. I encourage you to get rid of that list of plans every once in a while and get in tuned with what your body needs. Stop all of the β€œmust do” and β€œhave tos”. Now, I know that you guys have families, jobs and commitments to get to and I get that, but carve out some time to take care of you. So you can be fully present for them. πŸ‘ Secondly, I posted a great message yesterday from Coach Sarah about β€œstop waiting for whatever you are waiting for.” Are you one of them? β€œI’ll do it later or tomorrow?” I’ll admit it. I WAS one of them. πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ I challenge you not to let β€œlife happen to you.” But make it the best life possible. I’ll share in what I mean by this another day. I know you already know all of this stuff so I’m not here to preach to you but to hopefully inspire you enough to make a change to BECOME the person you are meant to be and live out Your dream. Live so that You WANT to jump out of bed every morning SO excited to start YOUR day. Here’s what I do. I don’t know if this will help or not but try it. Day 14 of 30 days of healthy livingβ€’ Started off with an irritating morning. I set my ⏰ for an hour later than I wanted to so I missed my workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ class. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I had that inkling feeling last night that I should check my πŸ“² but tried to ignore that feeling. Have you had that feeling about something and ignored it and something went wrong? Note πŸ“ to self-trust your gut next time. Normally, I would be pretty upset 😑 with myself but I’ve learned over the years to just β€œlet it go.” You can’t control what happened so why let it affect your day. β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ Meals were prepped for lunch and 🍽 dinner tonight as it was going to be a busy evening. Headed to a talk by Dr. Gianforte tonight about resetting mindset and resolutions with @jesscaseycantu. Thanks Jess for the invite. β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ Then went home to unwind but got a text from a friend that motivated me to do a quick workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ at home. Thanks @amj1149. Felt better afterwards, got my plank in. Not as great as last night but better then nothing. Do you ever feel that you make such a dramatic goal and when you β€œfail” or fall off, get detoured that you just all together give up? I’ve been there and totally get it, but if you set yourself up for the setbacks and let yourself be β€œok” πŸ‘Œ with setbacks it’s not that hard to get back on the right track. I challenge you to stay on track! πŸ˜‰ β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ Lastly, I was putting up my vision board and reflecting about my last year. I’ve been doing vision boards for three years now and when I first started my board was pretty bare and missing things, had lots of open spaces. Each year my vision has gotten BIGGER and FULLER, but this year it β€œfeels” more complete. I have a clearer vision about where I’m going. It’s such a great feeling I can’t even describe it. If your looking for something more, like your missing something in your life, not fulfilling something, or not living to your highest potential than I challenge you to dig deeper and find what your missing. If you have no idea where to start then let’s chat. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share this with all of you. What a way to start the week off fresh-new intentions, new goals. β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ Look at these turkeys πŸ¦ƒ I saw on the sidewalk on my way to workout this morning. You don’t usually find this in the city. β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ I nearly died today at Athletica. I can definitely tell the difference with my workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ when I do and DO Not take a pre-workout supplement. Today was one of those no supplement days. πŸ₯΄ Cardio takes my breath away today and leg heavy but all worth it. πŸ‘Š β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ Did a little catch up on my biz, ran errands, did some self growth reading. It was a productive day. Feeling content and ready for the week. Then did some grocery shopping @freshthyme. β€’ β€’ β€’ Meal prepping -I’ve been experimenting with different infused olive oils, seasonings and roasting veggies. Mmmm πŸ˜‹ delicious!!! I wouldn’t normally post photos like this where I feel vulnerable, self conscious or β€œugly”.. but I want to take a moment to appreciate all that this picture is. My gorgeous friends, and my hot ass boyfriend (the one who’s been working out for 5 minutes and stopped drinking beer during the week and lost 9kgs 😀), all went out for the night for NYE. But before we left for the evening, we made the boys take some photos of us. Photo 1 involved my BF holding our mate on his back in order to get a higher angle, photo 2 is my actual reaction when he jumped onto the BF’s back to get the perfect shot πŸ˜‚. Though the smiles and the posing doesn’t show it, my friend and I took MANY photos to try and get one we were both happy with, my friend was worried about her leg looking funny!!! Whereas I was worrying about the fat hanging over my elbows showing, the true width of my arms showing all while trying to make sure it looked like I had some kind of jawline.. these photos are fucking beautiful nonetheless. We will always have imperfections we want to wish away. Or we could work at it and try to improve the things we dislike.
