FOLLOW➡️ @healthy.calories.world Shrimp Avocado Quinoa Bowls Made By @gimmedelicious Ingredients 1 avocado, pitted and sliced 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce or your favorite greens ½ cup tomato, diced ¼ cup onion, diced (optional) Lime for dressing For the qunioa ½ cup uncooked quinoa (any variety white or golden, red, or black) 1 cup water ¼ teaspoon salt For the Shrimp ½ pound shrimp, shelled and deveined 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon paprika 1 clove garlic, crushed (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder) ¼ teaspoon EACH salt, onion powder, thyme, oregano, black pepper, cayenne pepper Instructions To cook quinoa: Start off by boiling water for the quinoa. Bring 1 cup of water to boil in a large saucepan. Rinse quinoa under cold water and drain well. Stir in salt and quinoa. Lower heat and cook, covered, for 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let rest, covered, for 5 minutes. To Cook the shrimp: While the quinoa is cooking, In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, oil, and spices. Heat a large heavy-duty non-stick pan to medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Once the pan is hot, coat the pan with a light drizzle of oil (if using a non-stick pan) and cook the shrimp in batches for 2 minutes per side or until charred and cooked through. Take the opposite leg out of the exercise by tucking it over the planted leg’s shin. - 2. Lower yourself with a round back, looking at where the camera might be in the demo - 3. Initiate from the bottom by pulling your torso up with a flexed, single cheek 😉 - Don’t do this movement if you’re seeing development through squats and deadlifts already as it’ll effect your output in those lifts. - It’s an awesome way to point your program toward a better butt. FEAR: . I've had conversations with a number of people 'thinking' of joining The Switch Plan Online Diet but have been frightened of making a change! . This got me thinking....as with most things in life, if you continue doing what you've always done, you'll continue to get the results you've always got, and the very fact that you may be thinking of changing means that you are not happy with the results you have been getting. . So to become a different person something has GOT to change. . You can't keep going along with what you know, because it's not getting you the results you want. You need to overcome the fear of change and try something new otherwise you are going to look the same this time next year and nothing will have changed, and that will be another year wasted always worrying about what to wear, or dreading the approach of summer, or looking at food thinking you can't eat that because it's not a diet food. . Haven't you had enough of that already?? . And if my (then) 7 year old lad can overcome his fear of heights, surely you can overcome your fear of trying a new diet.......

let’s talk a little bit about self-efficacy. ⁣ ⁣ self-efficacy is essentially the way you perceive your ability to be able to achieve your goals. ⁣ ⁣ without a healthy, postive sense of self-efficacy you most likely won’t be able to achieve goals that you try to set in motion. ⁣ it’s very similar to self-esteem, which we all know can be a struggle sometimes. ⁣ ⁣ any time that i hear someone say that they can’t lose weight, claim their health, eat properly, whatever, i get so heartbroken because i remember being in that place. ⁣ i encourage you to find out the reason why you feel like you can’t achieve your goals. sure, it’s hard and there are a million excuses that persuade you into thinking you can’t, but you can. you’re capable of so much more than you think, and i really want you all to know that you should work towards the life you want. ⁣ ⁣ for me, i felt stuck in my life. i was at a school i hated, there were friendships/relationships that were putting me under a lot of stress, i had no desire to improve. but one day, things just clicked and i remember looking at my mom and being like “i can change! like i am capable of so much, why haven’t i ever noticed this before?” ⁣ i wish i wouldn’t have wasted so much time saying things were impossible for me, but i’m continually grateful that i realized it eventually. ⁣ ⁣ i dont know if this message is even relevant to any of you but i just want to stress that i believe in every single one of you. you are capable, you are strong, and i want to see you succeed. 💖

The real truth about life is that it is meant to be LIVED.⁣ ⁣ For a long time, I obsessed over tracking my food. I’d bring a scale with me, measuring cups, and my Tupperware tucked away in my purse. ⁣ ⁣ Now, don’t get me wrong. The lifestyle of counting macros and/or calories can work for people. But it didn’t work for me. ⁣ ⁣ I stopped living my life. I stopped going out with friends to bars and restaurants because I didn’t know how to make healthy choices when I was out. Alcohol and carbs were labeled “bad foods” in my mind and I was terrified of putting myself even near their temptation so I avoided social interaction all together. ⁣ ⁣ I spent so much time worried about going to events that involved foods because I was afraid to EAT food. I was afraid to ENJOY food. I felt that I’d gain weight if I didn’t eat my own food. ⁣ ⁣ This literally consumed me every day for years, and I spent the majority of my early twenties yo yo dieting - always starting over again, just to binge eat when things got hard and my anxiety would hit an all time high. And then I’d repeat it all again the next Monday only to stay stuck in such an unhealthy mindset.⁣ ⁣ I am so lucky to have been able to heal my body and mind since then. And my world no longer revolves around obsessing over food choices. It has taken time and it was NOT easy, but I stopped tracking every calorie, stopped weighing myself, and just trusted my instinct to eat intuitively and fuel my body with nutrients.⁣ ⁣ Food does NOT have to control your life, and it definitely does NOT have to make you miss out on making memories. ⁣ ⁣ There’s no better feeling that living & that’s exactly what I plan on doing. Anything can happen Thursdays with the boss continue. Worked up to 100kg beltless and sleeveless on the safety bar for triples and up to 100kg banded deads for triples. I’ve never done them before. Probs about 130-140kg at lockout. They’re kind of awesome but kind of horrific at the same time 😂 Be interesting to see what happens once they’re heavier. . I’m not going to lie. I had the adrenaline shakes for the top squat sets. I know in my mind it’s a light weight, but I haven’t done a lot of squatting since February and the irrational fear of the knee exploding is still there. Plus let’s face it - the safety bar tries to crush you as you come out of the hole 😂 . NOT TODAY SATAN! . I did require a little bit of encouragement for the top squat sets. It went like “Get it done. Stop being a little bitch” 😂 So I got it done. . So important..this is the most tangible way to track progress, and the most rewarding. . ☑️Body Measurements: Take measurements every 2-3 weeks, the scale could not be budging but we could be making changes in our body composition. . ☑️Increased Confidence? So underrated! Are you feeling better about yourself? Do you feel more comfortable speaking to others? . ☑️Clothes fitting better? This is one of the best feelings in my experience haha. . ☑️Improved Health? A1C, Decreased Blood Pressure, Decreased cholesterol, Decreased Resting Heart Rate?
