We create this idea that certain conditions are ideal to start the healing process. But the reality there is no perfect time, there is only now because healing is not a straight line. There is not a way to be certain what the next step in the journey is because we may not always know what will be uncovered in the here and now.
This may sound scary, especially for my planners and Type A people out there (no judgment on my end as I am a recovering Type A personality so I GET IT). But WHAT IF our consciousness only allows us to “plan” or problem solve within the framework we already have established? And WHAT IF there is so much more out there for you, but because of your limited perspective, you can’t see all the other things that could be in the “plan”? We carry around old messages, thought processes, and problem solving skills that are rooted deep in our subconscious and they become automatic. When is the last time you consciously thought about breathing? My point exactly, it is completely automatic unless maybe you have asthma or something.
Personal development is cool, but gaining perspective is imperative in healing and changing old patterns. My running therapy joke is, “Why didn’t you know your zipper was unzipped? Because you were too close to the problem.” You have always had what you need to heal old pain points, but maybe all that’s been missing is a little perspective to shine light on your blind spots.

😂😂😂 cheese it’s just so good
Craving pizza today but I didn’t want to make fat head dough... so my fave Joseph’s Lavash flatbread to the rescue again!! I just placed it in a bowl and baked at 400 degrees to crispy & firm! Loaded sauce and toppings into the bowl topped with cheese and popped back into the oven for another 10 minutes!! I’ve never made one of these before but it’s such a quick and easy way to get that pizza fix!!🍕😋 Swipe ⬅️ to see the process... Happy hump day everyone!!💞
Hi, my name is Victoria, and I eat things with sugar in the ingredients. My bacon is maple flavoured. I drink diet sodas, probably too much. I eat about 130+ grams of protein on an average day. I drink alcohol, including wine. 👋🏻
Why am I saying all this? There are people out there who will tell you that if there is sugar or starch in the ingredients of a food, that’s not Keto. That you’re eating “too much” protein or “not enough” fat. That there’s one specific way to do things and anything else isn’t Keto. 🙀 That’s not true. Keto is a whatever keeps you in the metabolic state of ketosis. •
Now some people may be much more sensitive to artificial sweeteners or sugars or starches. Maybe they’ll cause problems for you. But not necessarily. I do a lot of things that the Keto police 👮🏻♀️ would consider “wrong”, and here I am, glucose at 81, Ketones at 1.6, GKI of 2.8 (thanks @ketomojo
for the awesome blood meter!). •
I just want to encourage everyone to do their own research, experiment, see what works for you. I worry that those people who sweat the little things will scare people away from Keto by making them feel like it has to be complicated. It doesn’t! You can do lazy Keto or dirty Keto or low carb or whatever. Just do you. 😊💖
Recently someone commented on one of my photos and asked me this question, and at first I was really offended. But the more I thought about it, I realized that there’s this stigma that in order to be in “good shape” you need to have 6-pack abs and virtually zero body fat - which I by no means have, and not many others have either. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not in good health just because I’m not totally shredded.
In fact, I weigh somewhere between 130-133lbs and I’m probably about 24% body fat (according to my last body comp). I do eat really healthy and exercise every day, but every once in a while I also enjoy getting all you can eat sushi and going out for drinks with my friends - it’s called balance 🤗
We need to understand that everyone’s body is different, and their “shape” is going to be different depending on their goals.
If you look in the athletic realm, a dancer’s body looks much different than a power lifter, but the body comp they have is purposeful to their sport.
Body type also plays a major role! I’m a very petite person, put on muscle mass very easily, but it’s also very easy for me to gain fat mass (hence why it’s very difficult for me to stay thin). As hard as I try, I will never be a Victoria’s Secret Model or get to 12% body fat - that’s just not how my body functions. But because I understand my body type, I work with it and know which diet/workouts are the best for me.
So the main point is that everyone is different, and looking like a fitness model isn’t the only way to be in “good shape”. Learn to work with your body, not against it! And learn to love it too ❤️
was awesome enough to share her #coffee
recipe and some of her story with us. So I'm passing it along.
- - - z When I first started a #ketogenicdiet
was a staple in my lifestyle, often taking the place of a meal. When used correctly, a BPC can be a great option for those starting out on #keto
Personally, I found this tool a great way to help me reset my hunger signals and to become #fatadapted
There are several variations of how to make a BPC. I have included ways I made my coffee. The key is whipping it up in a blender. Since embracing a carnivorous lifestyle a BPC is an occasional treat for me, usually when I need an energy boost. To keep cost down, I mostly purchase my products @traderjoes
Giving up buying coffee at @starbucks
2 years ago after #backsurgery
and embracing #minimalism
has done wonders for my financial health. The money I would have spent on coffee, I invested in my retirement, almost doubling my money. When you begin to make changes in your physical health, it spills over into other areas of your life and truly begs you ask the question: Am I getting the best return on my investments 🤔 #coffeelover
the perfect snack at work 😍 so glad my Walmart finally started carrying these!
Nice and easy dinner to night. Chicken casserole with tomato sauce, oregano, basil, heavy cream, spinach and Parmesan. I love when it’s that simple 👌

Okay Fall, you can come now! 🍃🍂🍁🌿🌻 I’ve officially broken out the seasonal PSL flavors and now just need the weather to go with it. We’re still in the 90’s down here and all I wanna do is just break out the new jeans I got! This morning I’m sipping on a homemade PSL iced latte and eating these delicious pumpkin spiced oats.
So, to help usher Fall in, I’m gonna share with you a crowd pleasing breakfast favorite. Pumpkin spice morning oats. If you make it, I guarantee you’ll fall in 🧡 just like I did
1 cup water
3 TBSP oats
2 tbsp pumpkin purée
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp raisins
Pinch of salt
2 tsp maple syrup(to top)
Sprinkle of pumpkin seeds (to top)
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer on medium heat until desired oatmeal consistency. Top with pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of maple syrup!
Crispy Curry Rub Chicken Thighs 🙌🏼
I saw these on @journeytonomore204
's feed the other day and HAD to have them. Probably the best chicken thighs I've had in a while! The flavour was BOMB 💣 - there are 12 spices in the recipe! The chicken was super juicy too. I'm def making these again! My husband loved them too!
Google "Ruled me crispy curry rub chicken thighs" for the recipe, created by @ruledme
(I made 12 thighs so I multiplied the recipe by 1.5X)
