Awesome day today! Started off bright and crisp and beautiful with awesome scenery, beautiful horses and wonderful people! Later it was hog butchering time, talk about extremes😂 Mav had an extremely fun day climbing tractors and rock piles! The neighbor lady even had a cool Turkey hat and a piece if gum for him!

We were very excited to find fresh Borlotti beans at the farmers market. Jae labourarioulsy picked out the plump, ripe ones. Beans are braised along with earthy broccoli rabe, and just a bit of crumbled sausage, with fennel seed and garlic. Parmigiano Reggiano is optional, as the beans taste so good themselves. Just serve with good portion of crusty sourdough. These are mom's favrotie beans of all time. She loves adding these to rice, and whe would often give herself the most beans. Maybe I should get her some of these fresh beans....
볼로티콩과 브로콜리 랍 스튜..이 계절 참 푸근한 한끼지요.. 껍질까지 않은 프레시한 볼로티콩 (크랜베리콩)이 파머스마켓에 나왔더라구요. 마른것보다 훨씬 맛있고, 불릴 필요없이 20-30분이면 익어요. 크리미하고 고소한콩과 푹 익은 브로콜리랍, 간간히 씹히는 소시지...마음까지 덥혀주는 따끈한 스튜에 사워도우를 푹푹 적셔서 먹는맛... 사실 따지고보면.. 우거지 된장국이랑 크게 다르지 않은..ㅎㅎ
크랜베리빈은 친정엄마가 제일 좋아하는 콩이예요. 콩밥을 좋아하시는 엄마는 옛날부터 밥을 지을때 특히 이 콩을 많이 넣으셨어요. 그리고는 당신 스스로에게 제일 많은 콩을 배당?하시곤했죠ㅎㅎ 이번주에도 있으면, 친정엄마를 사드려 야겠어요. 여전히 좋아하시겠죠? .
