Brand new printed linen fabric in the shop now. Please see link in profile 💖
It's Monday! And time to play around with your fabric stash. Who is game to play along with me? The basic guidelines:
1. Follow the weekly prompt to create a unique fabric bundle.
2. The bundle must be no less than 3 fabrics, from three different designers.
3. Bundles can be scraps of fabric, fat quarters, half yards, whatever you have in your stash!
4. Tag your image with #mondayfabricmixtape
5. No need to feel you have to post on Monday; take all week if you like 💕
This week's prompt: gratitude. Now go!!

Smoothing out final details on this #SugarPOPquilt
pattern – dropping Cyber Monday, Nov. 26! •
After polling the Suzy Quilts Patterns FB group, it's obvious that nobody likes sewing on a bias edge. Well, my fabulous quiltketeers, this pattern will include a cutting variation so you won't be biased against this unbiased quilt. (Do you get it?? Yeah...that was a stretch. GET IT??) What I'm saying is, even though this quilt looks like it's all sorts of bias craziness, it's actually mostly cut on grain and stretching is virtually nonexistent. I want you to know that I lose sleep at night trying to come up with the most efficient and easiest way to assemble my quilt designs. I also lose sleep at night online shopping for nursery decor, but that's another story...
Drove to town to get my mail today (still displaced from Hurricane Florence) and decided to stop at Walmart again and see if there was any Halloween fabric left. It was $ .99/yd the other day. Hit the jackpot today because it was marked down even more to just $ .39/yd. Yes, thirty-nine cents a yard! I bought two full bolts (8 yds for $3.12) and the remainder of two other partial bolts.
Spent $9.97 and got 25.5 yards of fabric!
Now to decide what to do with it all ... quilts? Rag quilts? Mug rugs? Table runners? Trick or treat bags? Dog bandanas? All of the above?

I am undoubtedly an emotional quilter! Quilting is how I make sense of my world and how I process all that is going on around me.
Every quilt and project I make tells the story of my life in that moment - even if the only person that can make the connection is me.
That’s not to say that I don’t love to quilt simply for its beauty - because pretty fabric is the spark that initially motivates me to create - I’m sure many of you feel the same way!
My At the Crossroads quilt has been a favourite of mine because of both the deep connection I feel to its sentiment, and the colour palette that makes my heart smile.
Lately I have been thinking about making another as my own personal therapy session 😉
Originally I designed the pattern to remind myself how important it was to be at the crossroads for my kids as they moved from the teen years to adulthood. The design reflects how there are ‘big’ moments in life that need attention, but for every big moment there are many more small moments where it’s important to be there for those you care about.
Lately I have found myself realising how important it is to be present at the crossroads in the small moments of my own life, simply for myself! In the busyness of all the ‘big’ stuff it’s easy to lose focus of how important the little things are!
This quilt in all its simplicity is a great reminder of the things that matter most to me - definitely a special finish!

out of a tissue-paper thin knit I’ve had in my #fabricstash
for way too long. I’m thrilled with how good the neckline looks, as this fabric was like working with a belligerent toddler who needed a nap.
Did you know we now stock Organza by the metre these are just a selection of our colours from an order this weekend
Remember this crane fabric? Purchased last year it made it though the fire but ended up marked. Back in September I ran an Instagram poll on if it should become a dress or a kimono? Check in tomorrow to see what I decided and if I went with the Instagram winner of a kimono? All will be revealed tomorrow.
