So, I’m writing a post about intuitive eating right now and I was immediately reminded of when I made these cake batter cookies. I sought to make a “healthy” version of cake batter cookies (using stevia, extra virgin olive oil vegan butter, steel cut oats, etc.) because I LOVE cake batter flavored things. Well, I messed up the no bake version and ended up making these with the leftover batter… which caused me to over indulge a little more than normally would (because of the double batch). Reminiscing on that moment, I could have reminded myself that the regular version of these cookies aren’t “bad” and bought them to eat mindfully when my body felt hungry for a treat instead. When is a time you reflected on mindful/intuitive eating?

Sunday night, Taiwanese night! .
A long drive back from Norfolk and quickly cooked up this mini feast-- really didn’t take that long, only about 45mins: .
• Spicy @cauldronfoods
marinated tofu, mushroom, red pepper with ginger & spring onion
• Leek & carrot stir fry with garlic, a dash of sesame oil and a few black sesame seeds
• Choi-sum and (rehydrated) wood ear with ginger and a tiny dash of soy sauce .
Cheated a bit with the tofu dish— the tofu was already marinated and pre-fried, so little prep was needed, and I used some chilli & garlic paste as well. The leek & carrot stir fry— the ingredients really don’t get much simpler than that, yet it is one of the most delicious and clean dishes ever! The choisum & wood ears dish was light and simply, with the faintest of bitterness from the greens, which I really like. .
Really isn’t much to it-- it’s all about making magic with simple ingredients… just saying! .

When you have leftover Butternut Squash from your farm bag from @localfarmok
, you make.. Butternut Squash Fritters!!! #paleo
style! So great for Breakfast or Brunch. .
2 cups Roasted Butternut Squash, mashed
1 tsp garlic powder
2 eggs- beaten
1/4 cup choppped onion
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/3 cup almond flour
2 Tbsp Tapioca Flower or Arrow Root.
Salt 🧂+ Pepper
1 tbsp coconut oil .
Mix it all really well together, add more almond flour if a thicker consistency is needed. Heat the pan up with coconut oil, and add one heaped tablespoon of the batter, and flatten it . Cooked for about 3 mins on each side, or until a nice golden brown. I topped mine with some local cream cheese from #lomahdairy

Far prefer DIY poke bowls to the stores, mainly because I get to eat twice as much and don’t get charged $3 for measly avocado. Picture this a 30th birthday party, a private room and ten people.
My overall thoughts are it's high quality food at a fancy place. So if you're looking to make an impression yes it's for you. Plenty of food, nice decor and a sound proof room but at a high price likely because it was a private event. Full review below.
Food: the main was lovely and plentiful and great variety. The chicken was delicious and the winner here but the lamb which is not pictured was my favourite. I'd say spice level is medium to slightly hot. The cheesy naan is oddly seasoned, do avoid.
Desserts: carrot fudge, passion cheesecake, chocolate and this apple thing. All pleasant but not out of this world, chocolate was the best.
Drink: blueberry cinnamon muffin mocktail, I can't complain must try 😍
Service: very good and attentive, the chef came out to greet us which was a lovely touch too! The starters took a while but they plied us with popadoms and chutney. The room was ours for about 3.5hrs and perfectly sound proof.
Decor: Best time to go is Christmas as you've got all the lights and wreaths so it was beautiful backdrop.
Price: Way too much. £75 pp and I get you're paying for the room, a 3 course set menu and central London but still a bit over priced.
A very cool place and a great night. If you're thinking of going I'd say try the restaurant first then see if you want a private room.

Can’t stop with these little bites of pure delight! Seriously, I’ve made waaaay too many lately (I say that like it’s a bad thing...). I’m working on tweaking the original recipe to make these grain free and dairy free, so keep checking back for that! For now, get the recipe for these insanely delicious ones below.
I’ve got a couple more sweet treats I’m working on today and then making some soup and online shopping (I’m seriously behind on the 🌲 shopping). Hope your Sunday is looking wonderful 😘
mini dutch baby pancakes
1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 c milk, I used almond milk
2 Tbsp coconut sugar, can also use brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter, evenly divided into muffin tins
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp lemon zest
Lemon juice for topping
Powered sugar for dusting
12 count muffin tin *tip: all ingredients should be brought to room temperature before using
Preheat oven to 425F. Place muffin tin into oven to heat. While the muffin tin heats, prepare the batter.
Place all ingredients (leaving out the butter) into a high speed blender, food processor or large mixing bowl. Blend until fully incorporated.
Carefully pull the tin out of the oven, place butter into each muffin tin and allow to completely melt. Once the butter has melted, pour batter into each tin, about 1/3 the way up. Place tin back into the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Turn oven off, and leave tin in the oven an additional 5 minutes. You'll notice the pancakes lift and then cave in. This is good. Yay! Top with lemon juice and dusting of powdered sugar. .
