7 years ago I started on a journey to be the best version of me I possibly could be and to be able to give myself the best chance of being around to with my husband raise our kids.
I was 26, Wife and Mother of 2 little wild boys, a student nurse doing full time university, I was 190kgs and I was bloody exhausted all the time.
I made the decision to change my life for the better I had weight loss surgery and started to exercise every day, any exercise at this weight was no easy task and I hated every moment of it.
This journey was not easy and I required 4 follow up surgeries in the first 4 months due to complications, despite this I was determined to get the best results possible and I continued with my hard work. Focusing on my nutrition and exercise and fuelling my body with all the good stuff.
A year into my journey my world turned upside down when my brother passed away from colon cancer. At first I wanted to give up, I couldn’t see the point trying anymore but then I realised that it was now more important than ever before for me to be as healthy as possible. It was my time to stand strong and fight, live for my brother, fight for my best life, fight for my husband, fight for our children, fight for myself.
Now I didn’t put this weight on overnight and I certainly didn’t lose it overnight either it took me 7 years! Time, patience, consistency, dedication, motivation, sweat & tears, sore muscles, encouragement and perseverance is what it takes to make a change for the better, all of this and believing that you’re worth the effort and you are braver than you think. *Part 2 on next pic #extremeweightloss #skinremoval #brave
