Write and say the affirmation, " I am a miracle therefore I attract miracles" at least 10 times today. 2. Spend at least 5 minutes today clearing your mind with meditation. Throwback to that time I asked 40 women to stand tall, with confidence and step in to their strength... pretty damn powerful 👊 In 2016 I held a handful of Female Strength Workshops and was incredibly passionate about spreading a message on the importance of physical and mental strength for women. And in 2017, OPUS Fitness was born, a studio built for women to achieve their health and fitness goals in a supportive, non-judgemental environment But somewhere along the way I let the naysayers get in my ear questioning why I was only focusing on women and that I shouldn't so passionately advocate the topics of strength and empowerment. And I forgot who I was doing it for.. my female clients. Those same clients who were telling me how much they loved these workshops, who valued my help as a coach to help them feel strong, confident and empowered and how @opusfit had made such a positive impact on their lives So for those wondering why I am so passionate about female strength and empowerment... it's because every day I meet women who have lost their confidence, lost their strength or don't even know they have it, lost their drive and focus, not to mention those with anxiety and depression who feel stuck and helpless. And through spreading a message of the value of strength, the importance of movement and allowing a space for women to be vulnerable about their emotional health, I get the pleasure of helping countless women step in to their power... and it's incredible to witness 👆👆👆 . Food is a very emotional thing...“I was so good all week, but I cheated today with a brownie”. How familiar does this sound to you? The concept of “cheating” with food means that you are going behind your “healthy diet’s” back..that you are being “bad”. What if instead, we removed the secrecy and shame surrounding foods by focusing on choice. I choose to eat leafy greens on a regular basis because they flood my body with beneficial vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients and I love their earthy, bitter taste. I CHOOSE to eat croissants at my favorite bakery because they bring me joy and I absolutely love them. ___ The more we think of food in these terms, the easier it becomes to break free of rules and restrictions around eating, stop yo yo dieting, and improve dysfunctional eating patterns. ___ Can you relate to this? Many physiological illnesses when they first present, can be dismissed without due cause and put down to mental health issues or stress. . This then leads to people with chronic physiological diseases learning to hide their mental health struggles, when striving for answers. . Sadly it quite often works. All of a sudden tests are ordered, completed, with results underpinning the physiological issues we’re experiencing. . This often leaves us with a bitter taste whenever mental health is mentioned. . But here’s where the big problem lies… . Being chronically ill poses a threat to your mental health. . Being in chronic pain poses a threat to your mental health. . Again, I love this quote I found on @pinterestuk . Having said that, there are the odd times where 'quitting' is the best option (but that's another story). If you're striving for something, creating something or doing something and you start to tire (those with Chronic Health will definitely need to hear this), REST. You'd think resting would be easy wouldn't you? Well it's not - powerful resting periods include completely turning off all distractions and just 'being'. It's like charging your mobile phone on aeroplane mode - the battery power comes back quicker, but you have to block all incoming distractions 🤣. 🔺 Then there is the guilt we have all created in our minds and society - that resting is a weakness. If only you knew the truth! 🔺 If you're feeling tired, overwhelmed, in pain right now, give yourself permission to rest and just be. If you've not done it before (the just being part), you may find it difficult as your thoughts will suddenly take over and you get to hear what you really think of yourself. Just be gentle with yourself - any attempt to switch off and just 'be' is a powerful one. Striving for perfection is not. 🔺 Good luck and have a great day you beautiful souls 💕

I really love people. I like really, really love people. You don't have to fit a certain mold in order for me to like you. We don't have to be completely similar or on the same page in life for me to realize how fascinating you are. You don't have to talk or act in one particular way for me to see you for who you are and cherish you. It's true, I love people so much that I catch myself getting lost in them--their stories, their struggles, their gifts, their preferences...their presence. I'm beautiful in this way, and I'm also flawed in this way, because I love people so much that I sometimes, unknowingly, let myself fade away into the unknown. For instance, if you know me personally, & if you ever ask me how I'm doing, I'm likely to rush through the question to try to get to YOU, because YOU and how you're doing is much, much more important to me. I care much more about you than I care about you knowing how I'm doing. I love to hear and listen more than I love to speak and be heard. I love to enter into the world of others & just...linger. It's incredible, but it's also terrible, because as much as I want to be a gift in the lives of others, as much as I want them to understand their value in my presence, and as much as I want them to be free around me, I too often hesitate for the gift to be returned to me. It's hard, but I'm trying. It's a journey, and I'm learning. Today was a let myself cry and eat 6 cookies kind of day. And that's ok. It's important to allow those kinds of days. To feel those kinds of things.
