WATER! 💧 We are literally made up of water; our Brain 🧠, Heart ❤️, Lunges 🗣, Muscles 💪🏽, Skin 🤚🏼... You get the point! This is no ground-breaking information, yet sooooo many people miss the mark! 🧐
I personally drink anywhere from 4-5 liters of water daily! 👌🏽 I recommend a minimum of 2.5-3 Liters of water daily in order to maintain a healthy functioning body! Summer’s around the corner and that minimum will increase in conjunction with more Carbon Dioxide and Sweat.. But that’s a topic for another day! 😃

The goal is, and always will be, to improve from my last show. I’ve had 5 months to improve my physique. Allow yourself time off from competing. Gain weight, train hard and melt that fat off at the end 🥔

For me, glutes have always been a weakness. Every show my feedback has been glutes. Initially it was to come in leaner and to develop my hamstrings. So I took that feedback and worked on coming in leaner. Then my feedback was to tighten both hamstrings and glutes. I went away and did that. Over the course of nine shows, four with the WBFF, I aimed to refine my physique and always bring a better package to stage. After winning my Pro card. And finally coming in tighter and leaner in my lower half, my feedback was to develop glutes further and to build.
Every challenge, weakness and obstacle in life should be used as an opportunity to learn and develop. I have spent the last nine weeks since WBFF Sydney aiming to build my glutes and legs whilst ensuring I come in leaner on show day. Every time I compete, I compete with myself. I am my own competition and I am the only girl I aim to beat when I step on stage. I've got three more weeks to really bring this prep home and finish this year off with my best physique yet.
Grind hard and turn your weaknesses into a strengths. Be proud of what you have achieved, but hungry for constant growth and development.

This raw shot was taken 2 weeks ago and is a reminder of just how much I have changed since I started my fitness journey.
5 years ago, I hated my physique and was unhappy with the way I looked and felt. I was relatively fit. But I didn't feel happy, confident or healthy. I was sick of feeling self-conscious, I would hide my body and my true self for fear of being judged. So I committed to making a change and promised myself that, one day, I would be like the women I admired on the front of Oxygen magazine, and the WBFF Pros who owned the World stage.
It hasn't been easy. There's been obstacles, days when I wanted to give up. Days when I questioned myself and let self-doubt cloud my mind. But discipline and commitment lead to habits and habits, over time, result in change.
By deciding to place value on my health, fitness, my goals and my dreams, I completely changed who I was. I learnt how to be strong, physically and mentally, how to transform my body and mind, to think positively, to be healthy and to be confident in who I was.
This year I did something I never would have believed possible 5 years ago. I entered the Oxygen cover girl competition and became a semi-finalist! The old me would have convinced herself that she was too short, her legs were too big, she didn't have the right look, she wasn't worth even entering. But you are worth your goals and capable of achieving your dreams. You just have to take that first step.

Getting strong and building muscle is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself. It brings so much confidence and self belief and you can look in the mirror and be so proud of yourself for how much hard work you've put in and how far you've come.
My journey didn't start with lifting weights. I, like you, was once too scared to step foot in a gym because of that intimidating feeling. Not only did overcoming that fear and going to the gym help me build my body, it also built my confidence.
Lifting weights actually changed my life. It gave me something greater than wanting to be skinny, be a size 6-8 or weigh less than 65kg. It made me not care about any of those things and instead I cared about how strong I was, how much weight I could lift, how I could improve my form, how I grew and shaped my body and my curves, how I could then inspire others to do the same. Results don't happen over night, but they do start with you. Be patient, be consistent, be your own motivation and watch the magic happen. 💕🍑👑

Current shape. 28 days until WBFFPRO/AM.
Weight: 47kg ( 2.2kg up from stage weight). Macros:
Low x4 C: 135g, F: 35g, P: 135g
High x2 C: 215g, F: 40g, P: 125g
HIIT: 20 mins x 3 per week.
The mantra for this week is: 'Trust the process.' My weight has not shifted the past few weeks and though I am feeling leaner and my mood and energy is up, I could let this check in really mess with my mentality and approach to my prep. I could let this bother me. I could get upset and feel like I am doing something wrong or need to do more to see results. I could drop food drastically, increase cardio and stress over the number on the scales. But I'm not going to. Because its just a number. And this is all part of the process.
Comp prep and fat loss is not linear. There will be weeks when your weight increases or does not drop. Why? There are a number of factors that could contribute to this:
- Sleep. If we have had an interrupted or low amount of sleep our weight may increase.
- Water. If our water intake is lower than usual we actually hold onto more water as a result. - Stress. If our stress levels are higher than usual, our cortisol (stress hormone) may be unbalanced causing an impact on our weight.
- Fibre. Fibre intake, whether it is too low or too high may impact our digestion and ultimately effect our weigh in.
Scales, measurements and bf% are a fantastic tool to keep track of progress. But only if you understand how the body works! Know that the process isn't always linear. At the end of the day, health, how we feel and (if we are aiming for the stage) our photos and how we look are the most important way to ensure we are on track. REMEMBER, you are more than a number! ❤️
